The price was very reasonable and the room was big enough for the stay. It was clean and we had no issues with anything about the room. It was all good. However, the shower was amazing! That shower head was so big and like standing out in heavy rain. I am considering getting one for myself at home.

The biggest complaint I have was around the upkeep of some parts of it. To be clear, it is NOT a big complaint. Everything was fine. But as an example the door-handle to the bathroom was wobbly and about to fall off. In the kitchen, some of the appliances were showing their age, but we didn't actually need or use any except the fridge. Nothing major, just very small things I noticed.

Perfect location, very nice apartments. Very comfortable beds. Spotless clean, fabulous pool with plenty of sunloungers, nice poolside bar . Access to the beach from the back gate and leads onto a lovely promenade. Very pleasant and helpful staff. Both my son and I are coeliac, so there were a lot of gluten-free options. The chef would come out and explain what we could have. We didn't book a meal plan but we ate here twice.

The food at the hot buffet was cold on the 2 occasions that we ate there. Once was evening meal which we thought maybe it was later in the evening, but we had breakfast on the morning that we checked out and again most of the items were cold, but other than that, there was a lot of choice from continental breakfast to a cooked breakfast, lots of fruits,yoghurt, and selection of breads.

Location of the hotel was super. A walking distance to Tormellions and Belemedena. Both about 25 minutes walk. On arrival we were out into a room on the top floor, which I asked to change and the lovely receptionist changed us straight away. The pool party was great fun and the staff at the pool and bar were super. Always so helpful and friendly.

The rooms could be updated. They were slightly run down as in they could do with a painting and the bathroom is very small. It’s a pity the room is not cleaned each day and fresh towels each day. In saying that I rang down to reception for towels and they were delivered too the room, at least two hours later. On our check out day I asked for fresh towels and was told they will be delivered too you, but we never got them.

Our apartment was spotlessly clean although a little tired looking in parts but it was a good size with a kitchen area with fridge and 2 cooking rings. Also had a decent size balcony. Despite the little tiredness of the room, it did not detract from our enjoyment. The hotel itself was fantastic. Sheets and towels changed every 2 days. The breakfast was absolutely superb and I defy anyone to say that they did not like it. There was absolutely everything anyone could have wanted to eat including continental, full cooked English breakfast, fresh fruits, cereals, various different types of bread, donuts, muffins, biscuits. The list goes on. The Kids club was fantastic and operated from 11 to 1 then 3 to 4 then had a mini disco in the evening from 9 for an hour. The restaurant staff were really great and very helpful as were the Reception staff. The staff in the Kids club were absolutely super and really enthusiastic about all of the activities they undertook with the children. The public areas of the hotel were spotlessly clean and the pool was great (although very cold in April). There was also evening entertainment for adults which was very professional and enjoyable. Another bonus is that the hotel has a launderette which was helpful as we had 2 young children with us. The hotel is a couple of minutes walk from the beach and sea front and there are many restaurants both in close proximity to the hotel and along the sea front. All in all a wonderful stay at Sol Timor and we are already looking at booking another trip later in the year as we all enjoyed our first time so much. If you are looking for a luxurious apartment, this may not be the place for you but it was super clean and fully functional and we loved it.

The staff at the hotel were fantastic and the daily and nightly entertainment were great too. The daily activities around the pool especially the water slipmat had us all in tears it was so funny and entertaining. The staff that did the daily activities for everybody young and old were so friendly and helpful. They did a super job. 5 stars🌟 . Room were very spacious as we had a 2 bedroom apartment with sea view and had everything we needed. The cleaning staff did a great job too. Location was perfect, everything from bars to restaurants in walking distance and the beach was just behind the apartment which was a bonus. Will definitely be back soon.

Others wake up early and make noise in the rooms

The staff were extremely nice and helpful. The public areas, restaurant, pool, inside and outside the apartment block as a whole were clean and very good. Daily entertainment for the kids and evening entertainment inside and outside and the bar were very good. The sea view. The scoring is based on this.

The tiny kitchen needs renovation. Fixtures, fittings and size.. The “sofa bed” in the living room was inadequate. Quite a few of the slats supporting the seating were broken. We were moved to this apartment from the allocated one on arrival because of a smell throughout the allocated apartment. This review prevented the overall scoring being higher.
