We stayed at Ginganga Lodge for 7 nights in December and had a fantastic stay. It has to be one of the most beautiful places we have encountered. It is like living in tropical gardens surrounded by the lush flora and fauna. Nature abounds all around you and brings a sense of calm and tranquility. The room was incredible. The level of interior design was breathtaking. The attention to every detail was exceptional. It enhanced our stay beyond all our expectations. Indika,his family and staff were all amazing. They made our stay special. The food was superb. We very much hope to return in the future.

Honestly? This place is magical! Words can not reflect how wonderful the stay with Indika and his wife was for us! It is paradise! Beautiful, my eyes could not get enough! From the beginning we were enchanted! Everything has been thought of! From cinnamon body lotion to being brought water to the pool without being asked! The interior is amazing and everything is very clean! It smells nice everywhere and do not forget to eat there, a dream! From our terrace we could see fireflies and the little puppy Simba is too cute! The place is also very good for excursions, even if you actually do not want to leave! A tuktuk is always ready and Indika even drives himself at really fair prices! All the staff is very friendly and helpful! Thank you for making our time there so indescribable! We have to give a special mention to Indika! Such a smart and insanely emphatic person! We are impressed and deeply grateful for his tips and help when my husband got high fever! I could write so much more, but see for yourself! You will not regret it! I have been to many places that I love, but with great certainty I can say that Ginganga Lodge is in 1st place far ahead of 2nd place! We stayed there for three nights and it was by far the best on our round trip: because of the great location, but especially because of the great people there! We will be back and then definitely for longer! Much Love!

Such a beautiful resort, we enjoyed every minute and wish we stayed longer, quiet and peaceful yet a short TUK TUK ride to the centre of town. Staff was very helpful and friendly Thank you very much

What a paradise! We stayed 2 nights at this beautiful resort. A total green and well designed garden, individual villas designed by owner. Every detail we loved it! Especially the welcome, the flowers on the bed and everywhere in the room, many beautiful objects collected by owner, the natures around, the swimming pool. You can feel the owner and their team have good concept of hospitality, to care. Also talked with owner, you feel his total passion about design, about building a place with real care. He also showed us his another new hotel which is amazing too. We also loved breakfast, good choice of various food. We hope we will be back again with family!

Indika and his team were exceptional, they instantly made us feel welcome and relaxed. The room was amazing, the pool was absolutely lovely and the whole place was incredibly peaceful and relaxing. You need to get a tuk tuk to go to the fort but Indika was easily available to take you in and out for a really reasonable rate and was nice to have a chat with him, and he was super helpful with hints and tips. Breakfast and dinners were lovely. The entire experience was great and it was a lovely end to our trip in Sri Lanka.

We had the most incredible stay at Ginganga Lodge. The owner Indika has created a beautiful and sustainable paradise by the river. The three-course breakfast and the prawn curry for dinner were absolutely incredible. Although it's about 15-minutes away from Galle Fort, Indika kindly offered to drive us in his tuk tuk to and from the fort whenever we liked! The staff even arranged for us to take a morning river cruise where we saw monkeys, birds, lizards and even flying foxes! Indika and his staff demonstrated true Sri Lankan hospitality and we would not hesitate to come back next time we are in Sri Lanka!

A very comfortable small hotel with rooms arranged in a forest, around a central reception and pool area. Our room was beautifully furnished and had an outdoor bathroom. The restaurant was good and catered well for vegetarians. The owner will run you into Galle in his tuktuk and collect you when you’re finished. It takes about 10-15 minutes so it’s quite convenient to be staying a bit out of town, away from the bustle. He also organised a faultless airport pick-up for us. The staff were lovely- can’t fault them. Altogether a very good soft landing in Sri Lanka.

I also had the pleasure of meeting the owner, Mr. Indika, who was equally kind and engaging. Our conversation was delightful, and his passion for the property shone through. What sets Ginganga Lodge apart is its architecture and attention to detail. The property is even more beautiful in person than in pictures. The antique items scattered throughout the lodge added a unique charm, complementing the exquisite design and architecture. Every corner of the property has been thoughtfully curated to create an atmosphere of elegance and tranquility. Overall, it was a wonderful stay, and I highly recommend Ginganga Lodge for anyone looking to enjoy a peaceful retreat in Galle.

This place is suitable for folks who are looking for a calm and peaceful environment away from the city's hustle and bustle. The hotel is set up in a way to promote eco tourism. We really liked the space and comfort that the rice paddy room offered. The breakfast was really wholesome. The staff's service was exceptional, special mention to Nupun. The owner indica was also a friendly chap.

The dinner menu can be improved and overall facilities were average.

Amazing location and beautifully designed architecture with amazing sri lankan antiques. Such a peaceful ambience entrenched in the forest and overlooking the pool. The room was stunning and the staff were super attentive and nothing was too much trouble at all. Fab breakfast too. A memorable quality experience in the jungle which was like nothing we had experienced before . HIGHLY recommended for something unique if you are from Europe.

WiFi that worked .. in the end we bought a package in town which was really cheap. Tea and coffee making facilities in the room as there was masses of space behind the main bed in the rice paddy for this, which would have been appreciated whilst chilling at night . Aside from that we loved it.
