I recently had the pleasure of staying at Suriya, and I must say it was an absolutely fantastic experience. From the moment I arrived, I was greeted with warmth and hospitality that truly made me feel at home. The staff went above and beyond to ensure that my stay was comfortable and enjoyable. Their friendliness and attentiveness were remarkable, and it was evident that they genuinely cared about the well-being of their guests. Whether it was providing recommendations for local attractions or simply offering a friendly smile, the staff consistently exceeded my expectations.

The staff are so kind and helpful. They treated us very well. (The bell boy - Premachandra, was always so adorable and chatty). One of the receptionists was extremely attentive and friendly. There is other staff that are so lovely here but these are the 2 people who stood out to us. The pool is huge, clean and refreshing. The sunset view by the beach is amazing. We felt very safe and comfortable here.

5 star in Sri Lanka is not the same as 5 star in the western world but it is stunning and beautiful for Sri Lanka.

Food is great. The location is beautiful and rooms are cozy. Service is excellent.

The pool was with the nice view. Also the beach next to it. The lights was at night awesome. Kids wad very happy with everything, The food was excellent.

The pool was lovely and clean, with a team of people ready to assist with towels. The restaurant was great, again very clean and the food was excellent. We enjoyed the buffet breakfast very much. We stayed in a water bungalow which felt very luxurious. The space was used very well and decorated beautifully. A calm retreat.

We really enjoyed the jacuzzi but we would have enjoyed the option for slightly warmer water, and a cover from the rain.

-Stayed in Suite 4 and Suite 5: beautiful rooms, great balcony, comfortable beds, ac, lovely bathroom -Fabulous pool -Food on al a cart menu was good -Great breakfast Tip: Pay as you go, the accumulated bill at the end can be hard to figure out

-There wasn't enough sun beds for everyone which meant an early morning rush to try and grab one -Crows were very annoying and the bangers left off to scare them interrupted the peace 🤣 Outside of the hotels control: The beach was disgusting-covered in litter, not nice to walk on.

We used this hotel as a one night stop off when we arrived before travelling around Sri Lanka. The location is remote, but that didn't bother us as we only stayed at the hotel. The pool was big and clean, whilst the room was really comfy.

Unfortunately there was a problem with the water, so we couldn't use our bath on our balcony as it was running with brown water!

The pool and the beach was lovely.. food was excellent.. But the best part is the staff. Super wonderful and efficient..

The AC in my room was not working properly and when I informed, someone from the engineering team came and he couldn't fix the issue, but he said some jibberish and pulled one on me.. luckily there was a fan.
