Our stay at Cheriz Hotel was absolutely fantastic! The location is perfect—nestled amidst the breathtaking beauty of Nuwara Eliya, offering serene views and a peaceful ambiance. The food was incredible, with every meal exceeding our expectations in both taste and presentation. A special thank you to the entire staff for their warm hospitality and impeccable service. And a heartfelt appreciation to the owner, Riz, who was the sweetest and made sure we felt right at home. The entire staff’s kindness and attention to detail truly set this place apart. Well I do travel alone, and I’m very picky. I like when everything is perfect. And very glad I chose this hotel I do love everything, very perfect location, once you enter you would be greeted highly in the hotel a lot of fresh flowers what’s give great smell, the interior, colors and design are so matching . I can’t say even staff because, all people there make you feel like a home, a big thank you everyone to Uohani was always take care of me and helpful, as well like chef the food was very delicious and tasty. Like you gonna feel like a home ppl was treating very warm, was touched my soul . ( it’s been my birthday, once I back from my tour they congratulated me was very unexpected 😍😍) . About my room, was with all panorama view on green tee terrace. Very big and clean room. Really beautiful view from any angle. In Nuwara Eliya was a bit cold those time , but again in the room was enough warm. All the things and furniture was new and clean . They have jacuzzi also with a good view was very good experience. Definitely recommend it

The owners of the property who live in New Zealand happen to be there while we were there and were extremely helpful and nice as were the staff. The place is well located only a little bit outside the city and is well designed, clean and comfortable. Thought was very obvious put into the design as well as the small things that make your stay comfortable like bed warmers and music systems in rooms. Good hot water and spacious bathroom as well as comfortable beds

The wifi was very difficult to use given how slow it was and wont do if you work remotely. Breakfast was quite pricey at 15 usd a person although we got a discount

We really loved the room itself and how big it was! Very clean, comfortable (plenty of heating) and really nice bathroom! We had a welcome drink on arrival and in the evening some complimentary coffee and snacks! Staff were incredibly helpful and got our Tuktuk started in the morning for us! Thank you!

We paid for the panoramic views for the…well views. However it was so misty and rainy we couldn’t see anything at all! Whilst obviously this isn’t the hotels fault it’s just something to consider for other people considering paying extra for the panoramic room. Breakfast, whilst delicious, was the most expensive breakfast by far we paid whilst in Sri Lanka. Wi-Fi also kept cutting out and was one of the few places without phone signal.

this pace locks the hotel door with a padlock around 9 pm. and there’s no way to go out in case of fire or an incident occurred in the hotel.

The rooms are very very nice and the staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. They organized a transport for us to Ella and even gave us a breakfast for free, because it was my birthday nect week, which they noticed just from seeing my passport - very lovely. Also comfy beds and very nice views into the nature through the huge windows!

We had a bit of bad luck with the guests in the room above us, which were very loud and jumping around in the night. The isolation in the rooms is not that good, so it wasn‘t good for our sleep.

The receptionist lady was super awesome and helped us with everything we needed. She and the whole team was very welcoming and warm and organised free laundry service even though this is not part of their usual services. The food was excellent and freshly made by an amazing chef. We got a welcoming tea and it was delicious. Our room was big and luxurious and the view was amazing whenever the mist cleared. Our stay was during the rainy season, so a little bit cold and misty outside, but we still can recommend visiting during that time. The hotel room had a (steamy!) hot shower and a heater, so no worries about getting cold there. The bed was the most comfortable one we have slept in during our whole time in Sri Lanka. We throughly enjoyed our stay and will definitely come back, if we are in the region!

Very welcoming and accomodating staff, they were the best of my stay. The room was spacious as per the pictures posted with satellite TV, bed heater!, and other standard amenities. The staff were happy to provide anything missing upon request. The breakfast was very good and generous. I liked the view of the tea plantations across the road. Dinner was served up to 9PM.

The hotel is outside the city so you need a car to drive.

Amazing breakfast and dinner. Hats off to the chef! Shout out to Sandun and Sudarshan, who are such nice and helpful people. They went all out to make our stay as comfortable as possible.

Was a bit spooky at night due to the stormy weather, but maybe that just adds to the charm of staying there ☺️

It's small boutique hotel with only 8 rooms. We had king's room and ruins room. The King's was perfect with windows on two walls. I should say, that windows were instead of walls. The view on tea plantations was stunning. Stuff in the hotel was kind and helpful. They were waiting for us, while we had delay due to our drivers car had broken. The stuff invited us with warm wet towels to refresh and wit ginger tea, which was prefect given the circumstances. Breakfast served to was delicious. Highly recommend this place because of the unique atmosphere.
