Great breakfast and location. I was put in the side house or "Little Grand Hotel", which had pretty small rooms with a nice view. The sauna is nice, and there is a gym that provides enough for a basic resistance workout.

The birds (magpies) were pretty loud in the morning, so bring some ear plugs. I booked lunch for 12 colleagues and was talked down to about not knowing what they all wanted to eat or if all would attend. They said they would like to know at least a day ahead of time, which I understand, but I was close to just canceling the lunch because I felt like booking a dozen people for lunch wasn't exactly appreciated.

Hotel is comfortable and quiet with modern clean rooms and very friendly staff. the temperature is controlled from the room itself, which I love and it has hard floors (also love). Bathroom is clean and modern and beds are very comfortable.

only minor things: Water pressure in the shower was quite low. would have liked a bigger towel for the shower Could do with yoghourt at breakfast, although choice was overall good.

Breakfast was superb. We liked the lobby with activities (games, crafts, comics) for children. The location was very good, right next to the station and very close to the city center (this is mainly due to Alingsås being a very small city, though).

The room was a bit hot, but we solved that by opening the windows. Despite the central location, it was very quiet at night.

Breakfast is excellent, a lot of options and verities, and a great coffee machine. Also free tea and coffee in reception with biscuits and if you are lucky chocolates. There is also a section for food tolerance requirements. If you are traveling early you can order a breakfast bag.

Nice room, compact but very comfortable. Breakfast buffet very nice. Alingsås is a beautiful town and the main hotel is also very pretty.

We had trouble with the TV in the room and chromecasting - which is small detail but would have been nice to use as nice way to relax. Receptionist was very helpful in trying to make it work.

Great location a few minutes walk from central railway station and bus terminal, and from the centre of town. Easy walking distance to 'Oves' (famous for its delicious buttery mashed potatoes), and numerous other cafes. The hotel itself is older, but beautifully elegant. Our room was comfortable, and our TV had more viewing choices than other hotels offer. Breakfast was excellent with a great variety of hot and cold options (nice scrambled eggs). Staff were friendly and helpful. We went to see the light display in Alingsås, but were even more impressed by the 'Guided Coffe Walk' run by Alingsås Turistbyrå. We learned a lot about the fika culture in Sweden, and ate some delicious cakes. The last stop was at the Grand Hotel for Princess Cake.

The fire alarm went off in the middle of the night, and all guests had to leave the building. Two fire engines were already on site as we were leaving the building ... impressive service. We would definitely stay here again. Alingsås has a lot on offer for a smaller town.

Just across the street from the train station. Our room had everything you needed, small but enough space for two. We stayed at the annex, wifi worked great. Took a breakfast bag due to an early train, it was not THAT early but the staff fixed i without hesitation and we could get an hour extra sleep. A big sandwich, yoghurt, an apple, sweets and coffee in each bag was more than enough.

The ambiance, building and staff. Very happy about our stay. We arrived very early, unannounced, but the staff nevertheless arranged a nice room immediately. We were given excellent advice on the town. The large common room, with coffee and snacks, by the reception area was perfect for working. The breakfast buffet was very good. We would gladly return.

No complaints. Unfortunately, the hotel restaurant was closed the night of our stay, but such things happen. A slightly wider range of TV channels might be a good idea; watching Swedish State TV and CNN can make anyone sick.

Amazing breakfast, clean and very good standard. The staff was nice, none pushy and funny.

Had to wait a good while for check out. They said it was up until 12 we arrived at the desk half and a crowd had started to form when they arrived some minutes past 12. Happily our train didn't leave until 1 pm and the trainstation was superclose.

The staff was very friendly, the breakfast was delicious and had a great selection of foods, and the location near the train station is very convenient.

The sofa-bed in our family room could use an upgrade (worked well for sleeping but not so well as a sofa).
