It did meet and exceed my expectations, it was way better i have imagined. Reception really nice and fluent English, thought we would have a single double bunk bed, but it was two. Main lobby refurbished, there is elevator for main, under and i guess +1 level, what is nice. Kitchen well equipped, toilets and showers were superb, always clean, paper towels, music playing. Just that we had an alarm 2nd night at the midnight, somebody burnt their food in the kitchen, so we had stay outside for like a hour that hostel has nothing to do, all sorted out just fine.

I'm sorry, i know you say it's normal in Sweden, but charge for bed linen is silly and you repeat this multiple times in the messages you've sent, so i guess the rest of the Europe visitors thinks the same that it's weird, just put it in the price and never mention it.

I took my mother for a trip to Goteborg. We were very happy to decide to accommodate at Kvibergs Vandrarhem - Hostel. The reception was great and helpful - thank you! We got also some tips for trips around. The beds were comfy, the kitchen was well equipped and the shared bathroom clean. We also liked the outside terrace for chill out, coffee, tea and a snack. We were lucky, it was sunny all the time. The position is convenient, it is only a few tram stops from the center. Next time, I visit Sweden, I will choose the same hostel!

Very nice, value-for-money accommodation with big kitchen, outdoor spaces and located on old converted regimental grounds. We stayed there primarily because of the proximity to the climbing crags at Utby and Fjällbo, so for us it was excellent location but I can't comment how quick and easy it is to get into town but there is a tram line really close by. We are certain to return when coming back to Gothenburg. Late check in when our friend's plane was delayed was without problems. (25 mins to Landvetter airport by car)

booked a stay on 28th of July for dates in mid-October. It appeared to be a right choice. the Vandrarhem is conveniently accessible as well as visible from the nearest Gothenburg tram lines, swift no-nonsense check-in process although I did not like it they copied my passport, easy to find and at a safe neighbourhood. I liked it for what they promised on the tin. Did not check out the breakfast as they could not tell me if the selection was primarily carbs or protein. Unfortunately I found the second biggest city of Sweden a bit lacking in the 'I might return' department, which means I also won't be back to Kivbergs. I recommend this vandrarhem tho.

no one here ever mentions the automatic door locking of the key card entry systems, one misfortune slip up while taking a leak at night and if the door slams loudly into locked position behind your back without the card, there is no way to get back in at night without staff around and you wearing nothing but your night clothes! have a heads up for that please They charge you for the towel, but the showers weren't very tempting, I haven't seen open shower sections inside toilet rooms that were this Spartan since the gym changing room at my elementary-school. However, as I always left at 7AM I could take the showers at 5AM and couldn't sense any disturbance.

The staff was really nice. We had a late check-in and the staff really took care that we knew how to get to our room. We got an SMS and they even called us to explain everything. They were super nice whenever we saw someone during our stay. The room was spacious enough with enough outlets and comfortable beds. We liked that the breakfast is served in different a room, so you can still choose to make your own breakfast in the kitchen. The kitchen is big enough for a few people to cook at the same time. There is a good tram connection to the city centre and even a direct connection to the port.

There were few cutlery in the kitchen, we found only three spoons. It would be nice to have some basic ingredients, like salt, oil, tea bags...

Wi-Fi was very good. There was a large, clean very well equipped kitchen on the basement floor.

There are several picnic tables just outside the hotel reception entrance. People were sitting there shouting their mobile telephones and chain smoking. The hotel lobby was filled with cigarette stench. There should be a designated area for smoking away from the entry door in away from where children congregate.

VERY clean, communal areas (including gardens) were spacious. I was unsure about booking a shared shower, but they were big, spotlessly clean, and very well maintained. The room (family of 4) wasn't huge, but it was fine for what we needed. I would like to mention Evelina specifically, who helped us A LOT with our itinerary of things to do. She was always happy to help, nothing was a bother and her customer service was EXCELLENT!! Not hostel related, but the pizza/grill at the end of the street was BRILLIANT!! Great food & very reasonably priced - ideal with tired children who don't want to go out.

Please turn off the radio in the ladies toilet at night 🙏🏻 It's quite hard to get back to sleep after a 3am toilet visit and Beyonce is busting out the hits! :)

It had a good location with a tram that’ll take you to the city center just a few minutes away. They had free parking wich is hard to find around Göteborg. The rooms and facilities were really clean. The shared kitchen was huge and they even had table tennis and some board games. Value for money is incredibly good! Just wouldn’t recommend to book the breakfast option.

The walls were a bit thin

The hostel is very clean and overall beautiful! The staff were helpful and friendly. Bathrooms were comfortable and clean - no mold which is my biggest concern when I travel :) Great location - 20 minutes by tram to the city center; located in a quiet school district.

The walls were very thin so it was hard to sleep through the night sometimes due to noisy neighbours

Welcoming nice building with very clean room and shared bathroom. Just 5 min walk to the tram stop, which lets you reach Göteborg's center in around 15 min. Situated in a quiet place with plenty of nature just around the corner. Kind staff and honest value for money. Simple but good breakfast for 85 SEK/person/night.

Bed linen to be paid separately. Quite expensive to pay 70 SEK/night/person.
