The staff are excellent and always very helpful and friendly. I didn't try the breakfast on this visit, but in the past it has been varied and excellent. The room is basic, but very clean and the bed extremely comfortable. The hotel is situated on the opposite side of the main road that goes along the lake. It is within flat comfortable walking distance of the centre of Luzern. There is also a bus service (24) that passes by the hotel if you don't want to walk. A ticket for Zone 1 is provided by the hotel.

For me there was no negative point - unless of course people are looking for a restaurant for an evening meal. The restaurant closes at 5pm.

The hotel is like 5 minutes away from the city center by bus and the bus stop is just a few steps from the hotel. It is infront of the lake, there are food & bars that is open until midnight. The hotel is simple, they have electric fan that you can use when the weather is hot. It is also nice that they have parking which they charge at a reasonable price so you can leave your car and take the bus to go to the city.

The bed is not comfortable.

With a location right on Lake Luzern, with magnificent mountains greeting you every morning, you cannot go wrong. Although a bit outside town, there is a free bus every 15 mins, and you can also take a pleasant 45 min walk to town along the lakeshore. The Museum of Transportation (a must-see) is less than 10 mins walk from the hotel, and you can catch the boat to Mt. Rigi from the Lido dock nearby. The hotel doubles as a culinary/bakery school and you can sample a wide variety of delicious, freshly-baked breads, cheeses and home-made jams every morning, for 20 CHF. Lastly, the price we paid was very reasonable.

The rooms are probably meant to accommodate students in the school, so they have a bit of a dormitory feel to them: small and sparingly equipped. There is no coffee machine or water pot in the room and coffee in the restaurant is not free. Being Switzerland there is no AC, and during our July visit it felt a bit stuffy at night, although the provided electric fan helped. Some investment in better mattresses, pillows, sheets and towels would make the rooms look and feel much better. Lastly, the school administrator seemed to double as the hotel receptionist and, while very friendly, was not as accessible to guests as one may have liked.

The hotel is an excellent hotel. It is great value for money with good comfortable basic facilities. This time I didn't eat in the restaurant, but I know that the experience is will worth while. Many people go there just for Sunday brunch. It is within walking distanace of the lake and to the centre of Luzern. If one isn't able to walk that far, the tram stops just outside the hotel and is included in the city 'guestcard'.

It was a big room with comfortable bed and with a nice view and nearby access to the lake. They also had variety of options for breakfast(though we didn't try it but it was always full in the morning given that Hotel only had 14 rooms). You get the city pass which let you travel using bus and train within the zone 10.

1. Price could have been better. 310 CHF for 2 night. 2. Hotel was closed in the evening so there was no one to answer you in case you had something to ask later in the evening but it was communicated in advance by the hotel.

My only criticism is that the rooms are located on the second floor and the lift does not operate after 5pm. There is no mention of the lift timings in the hotel description and you only find out by email after you have booked it. It is a real important consideration if you have heavy luggage as 4 flights of stairs is quite daunting. Other than that I had a very enjoyable stay and would recommend.

The property is very clean and confortable . The rooms are very spacious . Big thanks to the property manager who allowed us to leave our luggage in his office as we explored the city and who very kindly allowed us to change our belongings from one suitcase (broken )to another . Moreover, went above and beyond his job as he offered to throw away the broken suitcase for us . We are very grateful for that .

Breakfast was amazing, very tasty, fresh, lot's of options, staff were so friendly and helpful, all of them without exception especially in the restaurant during the morning breakfast. Location was fantastic, the lake is just in front of the hotel, you can walk all the way to the city center as it really so beautiful, or you may take the bus which is next to the hotel (free bus tickets during your stay offered by the hotel, you may also use your booking to get discount up to 20% when you buy other tickets for boats, trains or other activities), I highly recommend this hotel, modern and very clean, it's in the second floor yes but still I felt very satisfied during my stay.

Nothing, I just wished if there was a small fridge to have some cold water, also the pillow was very soft (not my type), but that was not a big deal for me anyway.

it was clean, comfortable and inexpensive. The breakfast consists of the breads and croissants made by the students and everything was delicious. I liked the fact that behind the scenes there’s another world going on and as a client or guest of the hotel you are the recipient of excellence.

It can feel slightly lonely if you’re a sole traveller because it isn’t really a typical tourist hotel. But that wouldn’t stop me from choosing this hotel again or recommending it to others.
