Friendly, family run hotel. Lovely location with mountain views, away from touristy parts. Parking included and easy to get to the city by bus. Good restaurant onsite.

Note there’s no fridge or air conditioning but the tap water is drinkable and cold and windows can be left open.

The view from the room was great, could see the mountains across the lake. The on-site restaurant was AMAZING. The BEST food I have ever had, and compared to Swiss prices, very reasonably priced. Pool on site, and bus stop out the front which was free with the included Lucerne travel card. Also free parking out the front is great if you have a car. Fuel stations across the road too. The restaurant though… if you can book in to the restaurant for the fixed price menu or “Half Card?” I think they called it? 59 CHF for a 3 course + apertif of absolute quality food, you simply cannot beat

Unfortunately it didn’t have air conditioning and we were there during one of Europe’s hottest heatwaves on record. They did have a small fan though, which we moved towards the beds and did the job

The hotel was so convenient to Lucerne and the surrounding area! We really appreciated the Luzern tourist card that came with our stay that gave us many discounts & free! city bus fare anywhere in Zone 10 (and free WiFi) for the 10 days we were there. The city bus stop is directly in front of the hotel! It was so easy & convenient to get anywhere! It was so nice & quiet, away from the city at night. THE BREAKFAST WAS AMAZING!!! It was the best breakfast I have had anywhere in the world, in my 50 years of travel to many continents. The pool was wonderful, you swim with a view of the alps. Staff were all very friendly and helpful. They kindly conversed with me in English as I don’t know German. The local, Coop grocery store is just a few, small blocks away on foot or by bus. I’m so glad we stayed here, could not have asked for a better location! I’ll never forget our lovely breakfasts on the outdoor terrace. We also enjoyed walking through local neighborhoods on the lake from here. We also hosted local family for drinks on the terrace here at night.

Did wish for a kettle in the room for instant coffee or tea in the room, but that is the only suggestion.

Nice, clean and lovely if you have kids. They have a pool and huge lawn for kids to play, run about or laze around. Right on the banks of Lake Lucerne. But note this property is not in downtown, 15-20 minutes from main station. That's ok with good public transportation. We loved our quiet mornings & evenings after long day doing things in & around Lucerne. Hotel does not have an elevator so note that if you are elderly & have climbing issues. Overall nice and pleasant stay.

Dinner options are not much in the in-house hotel. Even around hotel not many options. So do take note of that. Monday & Tuesday restaurant is closed. Generally have your dinner before you come back to the hotel.

The room was very spacious, bed was a comfy medium feel, and the room had a lovely outlook of the mountains/lake. We really enjoyed our stay as it was comfortable and warm. Service was friendly and they even brought our luggage to our room for us so it was ready for when we got back after our first day of exploring. Breakfast had a range of food that included breads, fruits, meats, cheese, cereals, bircher muslie, and freshly made eggs and coffee each morning. The bus stop is literally across the road and bus #24 takes you straight into Lucerne.

One minor improvement would be to provide a toaster for guests to use during breakfast service. I’m sure the staff would have one out the back and probably would have toasted bread for us had we asked. And extra pillow options in the room would be nice.

Our overall experience with the property was very pleasant. Location was very good as the bus stop was right next to it. The property was really clean and hygenic. It had beautiful and huge lawn which had pet animals.

Breakfast was decent although it could have more variety which would serve foreigners as well. We were charged 6 CHFs for drinking water which was unexpected and disappointing. We were expecting better room service with the price we paid.

The people there are just too friendly and nice, super accommodating. Room was ready when we arrived at noon, appreciated it lots! Everything just so clean, great breakfast with bread and spread, tea. Eggs. Fruits, yoghurt and cold cuts. The room feels like it’s newly renovated? It doesn’t feels like family run hotel at all, I see their effort in modernizing their hotel.

Nothing much. Just that there is no air condition, though a fan is provided which works great for September season.

The location was good, got nice views but bit of a walk to the lake. There was a bus stop right outside the hotel which was very convenient to get to places, they provide Lucerne travel pass which was handy as you can travel within zone 10 and get a discount for attractions. Lots of restaurants, few cafes and big COOP about 8 mins walk which was great too to busy reasonably priced food and snacks. The rooms were spacious and comfortable...breakfast was basic..

In the room, there was no coffee / tea self service, the rooms were being cleaned but not fully as all our used glasses were left without being cleaned, the floor and left dusty from the day before. We had a 2 year old child who usually sleeps with parents but they had to upgrade us to a quadruple room and even though they said we would pay for the other room, I still felt I was charged more than the room I paid via blackberry bookings. For what we paid, I feel I would have been better to stay somewhere else where there were a bit more basic facilities.

Breakfast was great and had a lot of variety, the overall hotel quality and staff were very nice and professional. The pool was really nice and enjoyable. Very close to Lucerne on a easy bus.

- It was unusually hot in Lucerne at the time - the room was very hot. The hotel had no air conditioning, and could only provide a fan in the room. - The hotel photo's show the view of the lake, but you can't really see it from the breakfast/dinner restaurant
