This hotel just on the outskirts of Zurich’s Old Town proved to be a great choice for our stay. Its location was ideal—within easy walking distance of both Alstadt and the picturesque Lake Zurich waterfront, making it perfect for exploring the city on foot. The check-in experience was smooth and hassle-free. We appreciated that our room was ready early, and they accommodated our request for an early check-in around noon without any fuss. The room itself was spacious, with a large, well-appointed bathroom that added to the comfort of our stay.

Overall, the facilities and location made for an enjoyable and convenient stay. However, one area that fell short was the front office service. At a hotel of this caliber, you expect a level of courtesy and attentiveness that leaves a positive impression. Unfortunately, both the staff member we encountered during the day and the one handling our early morning check-out seemed to lack the warmth and refined manners one associates with top-tier hospitality. While there wasn’t a specific incident, their tone and demeanor felt a bit off, which detracted from an otherwise pleasant experience.

The location was perfect for meeting friends nearby. Breakfast was very good. Front desk/reception staff were very friendly, kind and happy to please. Allowed me to make a local call from one of their phones, since one cannot do that from the room. The day we were due to check out our grandson became ill and needed to sleep until it was time to go to airport. Hotel allowed us to have a free late check out in one of the two rooms. Very grateful.

Nothing important: I thought reception areas look a bit worn and could do with a redo, for the price of the stay.

Location was great for walking to experience the city or getting to lake area for exercise. Breakfast was nice with options for everyone with different tastes. There are two lifts and never had to wait long. The room was spacious.

The facility is dated and showing wear. There was a laundry cart stored in the hallway at all times and also a ladder stored in the stairway at all times. Hopefully these could be relocated for guests to have a more elevated stay. The shower had a curtain instead of glass door. My room had lots of noise from street, I was on the alley side of building.

The hotel is a beautiful classical structure, in a great location, with welcoming receptionists who are ready to assist you. Rooms are large, marble covered bathroom and comfy beds and pillows and crispy bedlinen. The hotel is walking distance to Old City, center of the city, Zurich lake shore, museums, shopping, train station. Breakfast is great, with plenty to choose and for any taste and great staff serving. We are returning guests. I reccomend the hotel. It is not a cheap hotel, but a great value for money for Zurich if you look into all above. 🍀☀️✨️🌟

You cannot beat the location! Short walk to grocery stores, restaurants and the lake. Very clean, spacious room and we overlooked a quiet street. We arrived at the hotel at 8 in the morning. We were tired and jet lagged. The concierge said our room wasn’t available and when he saw how disappointed we were, he offered us another room that was ready. We were so happy to get some rest. From the concierge to the team in the restaurant, everyone has been very helpful! The breakfast had great options including fresh juice and delicious coffee.

Reception staff were very friendly and welcoming. We were able to get a kettle and tea things for our room with no trouble. The air conditioning was great, and, although we had been warned of potential roadwork noise overnight, the closed windows kept our room nice and quiet. The breakfast was substantial, with both continental and cooked options, and the waiting staff were very personable. It was easy to leave our cases on the last day, as we checked out at 11am, but had a 9pm flight.

We had trouble accessing the hotel wi-fi. We did not want to use the credit card option, and never received any SMS texts when we tried the mobile phone option. We were not staying long, so did not follow this up with the reception staff, who I'm sure would have helped.

Excellent hotel! Clean and comfortable room/bed. Decoration of the room is still a little "old" style but it goes with the place's vibe. The breakfast is continental style, super complete and with incredibly nice staff always paying attention so food is always hot and available. The room itself is spacious, and clean, and super neat bathroom.

Something that they might want to just double-check would be the coffee machines in the room, given that is an amenity most people might not use, I tried the one in my room and the coffee kept coming out from the wrong places

The hotel was close to the city center and only three tram stops away from Zurich’s main train station. The hotel itself was clean and well looked after. The decor was a little dated but in general, the hotel seemed to be well maintained. The room was spacious, quiet and the electric black out shades/curtains were great. The beds were comfortable. The breakfast selection was fine. The staff at reception were friendly and efficient.

The pillows on the bed were completely flat and offered no support. The air conditioning did work, but it always felt just a little bit too warm in the room. The bathroom was very spacious but in need of renewal. The combination of the strong water pressure, the awkward position of the shower head and the flimsy shower curtain made it impossible to shower without flooding the floor. The staff in the breakfast room could have been friendlier.

Room size was generous. Also there is a Pure Indian Vegetarian Restaurant close by. This location is ideal for those who prefer vegetarian hotels near by. Staying at Glärnischhof by TRINITY was perfect as it was easy and near to tram station, restaurants and shopping areas too. Breakfast Staff were amazing. Hot chocolate was the best and there are lot of vegetarian options too. Front office - Ms.Krisztina is truly professional creating a warm and a welcoming atmosphere, she very quick in sorting things out ! Special Thanks to Krisztina !

Beautifully styled rooms so I am glad that they haven't gut renovated these beautiful, generously-proportioned, and well-thought spaces. The bedding was perfect, the mattress was fine. Included breakfast was appreciated.

The rooms are a bit tired and could use freshening particularly the walls and carpets. The art should also be upgraded or removed as it breaks the Mid-Century (?) style and cheapens the feel of the room. Personal pet peeve: if you are going to have a "fancy" bed with a customizable control, that control had better work. Ours didn't and I didn't feel it was worth waiting at the reception for assistance with it.
