Everything was gorgeous- the room, decor, furniture, amenities, etc. The staff were super friendly - it was really nice being greeted at the door each time we left or returned to the hotel. The breakfast was also very filling - you get a choice of different sets ranging from western to Taiwanese and more. They have a small but super clean gym, outdoor swimming pool, and the sauna included a steam room, hot tub, and cold plunge pool (16 degrees Celsius). The bed was also so soft and comfortable- I don’t know what thread count they use but I want the same sheets for my bed!

I found that all the pillows in Taiwan are really flat.. they start out puffy but as soon as you sleep on them, they deflate.

This hotel is heaven. Our stay was expensive, but worth every penny. The atmosphere is calm and relaxing from the moment you step through the front door, and this continues throughout the entire hotel. Our room was beautiful, with a stunning view out over the city (including a glorious freestanding bath in the bathroom window). We were torn between spending time here and in the pool/spa area, which was equally fabulous. We mostly had the infinity pool to ourselves, and the spa (complete with sauna, steam room, and hot/cold pools) was the perfect place to relax after a day of sightseeing. Bear in mind that if you're a mixed-sex couple, the spa is separated into male/female areas.

Rooms are huge

Bag drop AFTER check-in IS THE WORST EXPERIENCE EVET. We still have to carry our own bags and GO OUT of the building for our bags to be placed to a trolly while the porter is guiding the way, he didn’t ever offer to help us with our bags🤦‍♀️ WHY NOT bring the trolly to the lobby or near the check-in counter for easy access for guests, since thẻ porter requires thé guests to carry the bags/luggages themselves.

The minimalist luxurious design. Helpful staff. I stayed three nights. The first night, my room faced the busy boulevard. Although on the 21st floor, I could still hear the traffic. For the two following nights, I paid for an upgrade and got transferred to a room on the 27th floor facing the port. It was quiet and offered a great view. Lots of extra stuff. Spacious rooms.

The ventilation system was a bit too powerful. Although quiet, it was hard to get the temperature right. It was either too cold or I had to temporarily stop it.

Everything. The staff were exceptional. They went out of their way to accommodate my dietary requirements and adjusted the menu accordingly. Concierge and front of house people were an excellent resource in helping me find my way around. It was really helpful that everyone spoke English as I did not speak Chinese. Nothing was a problem and they went about looking after me in a calm and efficient manner. rooms were spacious and bathroom luxurious. It was comfort plus plus. I had the swimming pool all to myself. It was refreshing and just what I needed after the heat of the day!

Rooms are very spacious and comfortable. Bed was one of the best in my life.

Breakfast looked good but it was served as a dish so you can't really choose what you want (or mix) and you need to be careful if you have any allergies as they don't list any. Bar choice is little. Coffee was unfortunately bad and tasted like from Nespresso machine. I also want to mention that stuff was a bit overprotective (like repeating "watch your step" every step you take).

The staff did an exceptional job from check in, to breakfast, and the amenity services. The facility was very clean and well maintained. The dining experience at Ukai was a great experience, the food and service were excellent. Will certainly book a room here again whenever we go to Kaohsiung.

It's very hard to find anything to dislike about our stay, the only thing that happened was a visiting dignitary closed down the services in one of the facilities with a nice view and there was no advanced notice that the venue would be closed that evening. But for security reasons I can understand not giving guests that information, a very minor thing.

Located in Sanduo Shopping District, it is a good location to base your stay in Kaohsiung. Exquisite breakfast serving, great touches and detailing in furnishing and fitting, and a group of staff who are uber-professional and pays attention to detail. Overall a wonderfully designed room and experience.

-The lobby entrance has a moving modern art piece that is mesmerising! -The health facilities are excellent, with a functional fitness room, fantastic onsen + plunge pool, and super outdoor pool. -The rooms are clean, spacious and of high quality. -Staff are friendly, helpful and happy. -The general location in Kaohsiung is decent, with central access and easy enough to locate. A car or taxis make it easy. -Good breakfast view of the city from the 28th floor.

-Breakfast was ok but you probably expect more quality for the price. An ample buffet would have been preferred to the 4-choices-semi-a-la-carte on offer, to allow for greater choice. -Whilst the fitness room was good, it was a bit too hot for a big workout.

Where to begin. The lovely people, the amazing onsen, the beautiful pool, and super comfortable rooms were all perfect. We ended up extending our stay twice and returning again at the end of our trip—yep, it’s that good. We didn’t try the breakfast so can’t comment on that but 100% recommend staying here when you come to Kaohsiung!
