This lovely hotel is one block from the lake and the staff exceeded all of my expectations. From check in to check out the staff was helpful with all my needs. Each floor has a water dispenser with both cool and hot water, and most rooms have a partial view of Lake or mountains and some have balconies or lanais. (Lanai room is the best) The breakfast changed each day and consisted of eggs, potatoes, fresh fruit and vegetables. There is coffee and teas and breads and jam. The staff speaks some English and for any complex needs Google translate worked fine. The rooms and lobby area were spotless and cleaned each day. The showers had hot water with strong water pressure. the hiking trails and bikes paths are across from the hotel. There are many dining options 2 blocks away and a convenience store that is open 24 hours a day if you would like to buy anything. Many things to do from renting bikes, or mopeds, kayaks and shopping for local crafts made by the local tribe. I will definitely return.

Yuan Su B&B was one of the best accommodations that we had during our one-month journey by car throughout Taiwan. Our host was impeccable with attention to our needs and questions. She worked very hard to make sure that our stay at Sun Moon Lake was memorable. Moreover, the room was very comfortable, clean and quiet; each day, the breakfast was tasty and nutritious; and there was parking for our car at the rear of the building. We found Yuan Su B&B to be well located in Yuchi, close to restaurants and snack stalls.

We have absolutely nothing to complain about.

Our room was spacious and clean. A/C was cold and water pressure good. We enjoyed the view from the balcony (we got a room on the 5th floor). We appreciated that this B&B had an elevator and private parking in the back, making things very easy as we could see other cars trying to find parking in the area. There's common area on the ground floor and also by the front entrance, where we sat and chatted with the folks that ran the place. They were very friendly and courteous, very helpful when we asked questions. The Taiwanese style breakfast was delicious. There were also toasts, tea and coffee available. The black tea they served was the best tea we had on this trip.

The room was more spacious than I expected with a separate living room from the bedroom. This was a lovely surprise and it was nice to have bonding time in the living room. Location of this hotel was perfect. It was located 2 streets away from the markets and the pier, so it was nice and quiet. The staff were exceptionally amazing. They saw us struggling with a few things and helped us without us asking for help, like parking our electric bike or giving us a bag to hold our wet umbrella. It was these little actions that really made us feel welcomed.

Everything was perfect in my opinion!

Very clean everywhere. Very friendly staff. Wonderful (yummy and nutritious) breakfast! Comfy beds. Very nice and new furniture in a cozy wooden color tone. Environmental friendly stay (water dispenser every floor instead of bottled water, no disposal chopsticks or utensils used, etc.)

It’s almost perfect except for a mini point: Big TV was playing news during breakfast time which is quite disturbing. Music would have been a much better and comfortable background sound.

Initially I booked 2 nights in that hotel. But on my way there I got stuck at Taroko National Park, because the mountain pass was closed and only opened a short amount of time during the day. Since I couldn´t make it, I was able to cancel the booking for one night without any extra fees. Thank you. The rooms are spacious and clean. It also had a balcony with a nice view and a side window viewing parts of the lake. They also have their own car park in front of the hotel, which is free to use. Breakfast was also delicious. The cable car is within walking distance from the hotel. Everything else is easily reachable by car. The staff was very helpful and friendly.

Everything was great.

Love the hospitality by the family running the business. Provided tips that distrupted our plans due to rain. The room and beds are clean with a huge living room right beside the bedroom.

Will be great if some of the power sockets can be converted to accept international plugs and perhaps having self laundry washing facilities.

Beeakfast: It was a deliceaus traditional taiwanese breakfast whit western option. The food was realy good Room: Realy clean - not noisy - spaceaus - confortable bed - nice bathroom - big shower - nice balcony whit table Staff Realy freandly and cind - told us a lot of information abaut the city - could speek english Lication: Near the oldstreet - near the harbour - near the ropeway Overall experience: I never felt so at home in other hotels like in this. Was a great experience and great value for money

Good location, clean, friendly staff.

Nothing wrong with the accommodation at all. Just a heads up though, food in Ita Thao is slightly problematic if you’re not into eating pig’s knuckles or beef noodles. The street food snacks are pretty average too. Highly recommend a place in Shuishe though ( Nomad Cafe ) which was fantastic food and service.

Staff are wonderful 😊 We liked absolutely everything, we were so comfortable we didn’t want to leave. B&B is in a great position , a few mins walk from restaurants, shopping streets and pier where you can catch a boat. Also well marked out parking
