Nothing to say

This is a lovely hotel, beautiful well kept grounds and a lovely pool area. The room was large, bed comfortable and lovely big bath towels.. For a 4 star hotel I was surprised there were no box of tissues, a minor detail but very useful and normally found in even 3 star hotels I have stayed at. The staff were friendly and helpful. We dined here twice as we stay pre and post safari. The first evening we had a pizza each. Mine was cold and my husbands nice and hot, which suggests my margarita had been held back whilst my husbands was cooked. I returned it and it came back very dark and brown, but just about edible! The second evening meal we ordered a dish each and a portion of fries to share. My husband's meal arrived with no sign of mine or the fries. We waited a short while then called the waiter over who said mine would be about 5 minutes. We complained that we wanted to eat together so he took away my husband's pizza and eventually both meals and the fries were delivered together. Again, my husband's pizza was now overdone! Their chef really needs to work on his timings!

Toilet fitting was loose!

Easy check-in. Super clean, super comfy rooms. Buffet breakfast was incredible, they thought of everything to serve. They could extend the hours up to 10:30am though. They even packed up a boxed breakfast when I was leaving for my safari. The small gym they have is useful. The pool is very nice but cold. Wi-fi worked well enough but not the fastest. Location is a bit of the walk to the centre. Great service. Perfect place to start and end your safari.

Laundry prices are incredibly expensive and they charge by item (for instance, it would have been $3.50 PER underwear). And if you need it quickly, it's double the price. The shower needs to be fixed - great pressure and lots of hot water but it floods. There is no shower door, it's a partial wall that doesn't do much and the drain doesn't work fast. If you don't have enough towels then your entire bathroom will be flooded.

The breakfast was spectacular. The views from the rooms are spectacular. Mount Meru on the front view and a greenery park at the back. The rooms are cosy and staff were simply top.

As a business traveller I needed good WiFi. To get that I had to forgo my greenery back view room for a Mount Meru view room because those were the only ones that had good WiFi. So they need to fix the WiFi issue in those rooms.

The hotel room was very nice and comfortable and clean. The gardens are beautiful also. I walked over and looked at the pool, which looked well kept, but since there was an additional fee to use the pool we opted not to.

I had asked the hotel for them to arrange a pick-up at the Kilimanjaro Airport. When we arrived, there was no one there to pick us up. It turned out to be OK, since we got a taxi immediately for $50 vs. the $80 that the hotel wanted for booking. When I got to the hotel and mentioned this, the desk clerk did not seem phased that they had not done their job, but told us to arrange for a taxi to the airport the day before we would be leaving. So we did so, for the $80 fee, and the driver came at the correct time. There seemed to be no way to call for a taxi without incurring the additional fee, but when you're leaving for an important flight, it's reassuring to have your drive arranged for you.

Location and facility, your pricing is too low compared to Melia your neighbour, you are undervaluing yourselfs. Do renovations and up your prices.

Renovations are over due somenof the ascetics are in bad condition. Very well designed hotel, you are not doing it justice by not uplifting it.

The view was gorgeous. Felt really safe. The food was pricy but taste good (just hope it was served faster as I waited for almost one hour). Didn't have enough time to use but there was a pool as well.

I asked for a twin bedroom but got a one queen bed room. Requested to change to the twin room but the view wasn't really good, so I went back to the original room - one queen room. Wish there would be more options.

Enjoyed everything about the hotel except dinner, that was slow, came out incorrect and not cooked!! We then had to wait for it to be replace but was offered fruit instead (of a burger!!!). The front of house staff and manager were good and tried to fix the problem but the kitchen seemed to be chaotic! We were assure we would only pay for one burger!!! After the chaos/wait, in my opinion, we shouldn’t have been for the undercooked one or the replacement!! It didn’t at all spoil our stay but that and the patchy wifi, it’s not what we would expect from a 4* hotel…

The overall experience was positive and food was good and service at lunch was very positive. Reception was easy to check in and get going. The room was very clean and well appointed. Elizabeth at breakfast was very smiley and very helpful a quality individual staff member.

A comment by a staff member was not well received when we ate in the evening her approach was not appropriate. Incorrect happy hour information and the lack of a wine list was disappointing. The reception at breakfast from the lady checking who was attending breakfast she was brusk and didnt appear to enjoy what she was doing at all. I asked for soft eggs and got rubber eggs. The breakfast overall was poor for the quality of hotel. We asked for Ginger tea it never came. The coffee for the size of hotel was poor when something that simple could be much better tasting and easy to do. these might seem picky but it is all about standards and value for money.

Good hotel, swift check-in, great service, friendly staff, clean rooms and an excellent shower.

The beddings consist of sheets and blankets. Instead of a duvet they put a blankets between two plain sheets. Terrible!! fighting in the night to keep covered and finding everything on the floor in the morning. How old-fashioned is this.... please just provide fitted sheets and duvets. It would make it so much more comfortable.
