Wonderful wonderful gem of a hotel. It was my first time in Bangkok and I was a little nervous as a solo female traveler, but as soon as I checked in at Baan Kachitpan, I felt a sense of home! It is a quaint and adorable hotel and I loved the vintage furniture, family-run feel, lush vegetation, and cats roaming around everywhere. I adore hotel breakfasts and this traditional Thai breakfast was such a joy every morning. A few things to note: the hotel is nestled between different narrow alleys but it felt totally safe to me walking alone day or night. The bathrooms are shared so it's a definitely less fancy than some other boutique hotels, but it's unbeatable for the price and warm hospitality. Another thing to be mindful of is that the hotel is near Khao San road and touristy areas, which was not my cup of tea, so I just avoided those areas and found places I liked, so it wasn't an issue. Overall, Baan Kachitpan is the perfect stay for Thai hospitality, delightful long breakfasts, and really welcoming staff. I hope to come back!

I travelled with my son to Bangkok, it was maybe our 30th time in the city. We loved this place. The breakfasts were amazing, some of the best food of the trip. The room was comfortable, had great aircon, a good shower and everything we needed in this gorgeous old building. A fantastic neighbourhood, walking distance to just about everywhere and a bunch of convenience stores/ food outlets right up the street. No traffic, just cats!

Accommodation was very clean and cute. Staff were super kind and helpful. They will communicate with google translate if you ask questions (you need to use it too). But I felt their kindness. It was in a residential area so it was quiet as well.

I noticed that noise travels very easily so if you have noisy customers staying during your stay, it may keep you up. But it is wooden building so what can you expect.

Staying in this beautifully preserved traditional Thai house felt like stepping back in time! The atmosphere is unique, yet the comforts are provided. The host was incredibly kind and welcoming, and everything was spotless. The location is peaceful and comfortable, making it a perfect retreat. Highly recommended for an authentic Thai experience!

This was the perfect hotel to get to know bangkok both comfortably like a home and feel like a local. Close to everything. Staff are the most loveliest people. Breakfast was INCREDIBLE. And to top it all off they gave us a coin purse as a present. Will forever remember this place and definitely coming back.

Baankachitpan Bangkok Hotel is, in our opinion, probably the perfect base from which you can start exploring Bangkok/Thailand. It is located close to the busy streets and facilities of Khao San Road, but once you reach the hotel, peace and quiet take the upperhand. There are shared bathrooms which get cleaned regularly by the kind staff ladies. Which by the way are always happy to help you in any way they can. Rooms are tidy and our sheets got changed every two days. Also, the breakfast is served on a long table on the ground floor. This way you can have some nice social interaction with your fellow travelers. That is if the host lady doesn’t come up to you first to ask about your plans for that dat before she heads of to work :). We guess you could say that, while staying in te guesthouse, you become part of a nice little cosy family. In other words: we highly recommend this accommodation!

The place is run by a family. They were all very friendly and offered great hospitality. They offered us delicious home cooked meals for breakfast. Apart from being pretty, our room was clean and very comfortable. We had a lovely stay here. :)

Had a fantastic stay. The breakfast was a classic Thai meal, the room was cozy and comfortable. Very clean and beautiful aesthetics.The Staff was extremely helpful and kind. I had a flight at night and was allowed to shower after picking up my luggage. Highly recommend

Nestled in a quiet part of the old town, Baan Kachitpan is a cosy and homely guesthouse. Breakfast, which changed every day, was really delicious and easily my favourite part of the stay. Our room was nice and clean and the housekeepers were super friendly. I liked the surrounding neighbourhood as well: it's quiet and homely, yet only a short distance away major historical attractions like the Grand Palace and the Golden Mount. The area also had a lot of cute cafes/eateries and bars with nice craft beer. Will definitely return to stay for my next trip to Bangkok!

The location was ideal. Grand Palace, markets and other must see places were in walking distance yet the hotel was peacefully tucked away down a side street. A calm oasis. Beautiful ambience, the staff are so lovely and the hotel very homely.
