Hotel reception very helpful and well organised. Room was clean and large size. All facilities (bathroom, A/C, fridge etc) worked well. Hotel very conveniently located for city restaurants, markets and old town. Location outside is quiet.

Need to recognise this is very much a 'family' hotel which means constant noise from children shouting/playing in the pool throughout the afternoons. All the rooms face inwards ('pool view' only) which means this cannot be avoided (the 'city view' terraces on the outside are all just access corridors). Windows/balconies (as with many Thai hotels) are small. The wi-fi was odd - signal is fine but connection to some websites (mail, skype etc) was intermittently blocked (I checked and whenever this happened these sites were still accessible via mobile phone) so there may be a problem with their ISP?

CLEAN with capital letters. This is number thousandfourtyfive booking during our Asia trip and we have been to many nice and tidy places but cleanliness here is far beyond expectations. Every corner of the hotel is crystal clean, not a tiny fingerprint in the elevator, or any dust in the corridor. Room was comfortable for 6 nights, area was close to old town but it wasn't noisy. Staff is nice and helpful especially the hotel manager (owner?) lady. You can expect a light breakfast included in your booking which is not highlighted as a breakfast. You go downstairs and the lady will give you some toast, crackers, coffee, tea and fruits. It's no big meal but it's good for just to start the day. Laundry is 50THB per kg and they do your laundry by the evening, very convenient. This place seems to be a family friendly place, we have seen a lot of families with children, way more than in other places but I cannot tell about children's stuff becasue I came with a friend. We definitely recomment this place to anyone!

The beds were a bit creaky when you lay down or get up but thats OK. Only cold water comes from the sink but thats fine by us, the shower has warm water.

Pick this property! When you read through reviews you never know what to do. Choose this place! The staff were fantastic, as soon as we arrived the lady in the desk was so so helpful filled us in with a map and where to go and what to do which was a great way to navigate around even if you have a plan. So close to the old quarter square(7 min walk) but far enough away that it’s quiet. It’s in all the pick up point areas if your activity’s which is so helpful! And on the more convenient side of the square, which was easier for exploring! Everything clean and tidy which is perfect! Pool is nice and sunny during the day!

First, I never write reviews. But for Baan Sang Singh, I can't pass without expressing how much we enjoyed staying at this property! If you have a child, staying in a pool access room is a game changer! My boy, an 8-year-old, loved swimming, and he had direct access to the pool. We just stayed in the room or the seating area right outside of our room. The spacious room had all the right amenities; my boy loved his bunk bed. Complementary, morning toast, and coffee were perfect for us. As for location-wise, it was also ideal for us since it was only 5 mins to Chiang Mai Gate and 10 mins to Tha Phae Gate, the night bazaar was 10-15 mins, Saturday market was 5 mins. We only took a tuk-tuk a couple of times at night after a long day from the night bazaar for 100 - 150 baht. Plenty of good, cheap local restaurants are nearby. Also, Ann and her staff were the best!! We’ll definitely stay again next time we visit Chiang Mai!!!

This hotel boasts an excellent location, just a 7-minute stroll from the Old City. The rooms are impeccably clean and serviced daily by attentive staff. The owner is incredibly welcoming and helpful, offering valuable tips and going above and beyond to assist guests. Excursions can be conveniently booked through the hotel. The pool is spotless, and the entire hotel, both indoors and outdoors, is meticulously maintained. Guests can enjoy complimentary coffee or tea in the mornings, along with toast, cookies, and occasional fresh fruit. Highly recommended

Close to the centre and night markets. Good restaurants nearby. The owners are very nice and accommodating. When one of the poolside rooms became available, they let me change room. These rooms are much better if you have small children who want to go in and out of the pool all morning. I would definitely stay again.

Everything was great, but if I had to say one thing, it would be the stones around the pool and the stone seats in the pool. They're a little bit dangerous with small children, and both of mine scraped their feet on them. Be careful around the deeper end of the pool, as it's hard to see the seats that are under the water.

Room and bed were both huge! Bathroom also a good size with a high quality shower. Balcony had a clothes airer which was useful. Room was cleaned to a good standard everyday with water replenished. We were able to check in during the night which was ideal as we landed very late. We didn’t use the pool but the area looked very clean and was never crowded. Staff at the hotel were incredibly friendly and helpful, nothing was too much for them to assist with from laundry to arranging transport for us.

The only downside may have been location - compared to other areas, the hotel is a walk to the ancient town and most bars/restaurants. However this didn’t impact our stay as Chiang Mai is easy to navigate, and there were a few eateries in walking distance.

Everything about my stay at Sang Singh was great! My room was well appointed and immaculately clean. Nice view of the swimming pool below. I loved the pool - long enough to do some lengths and in the heat of the day some of the pool is in the shade. The hotel has various items on sale - ice creams, wide variety of drinks and some dry goods - just grab and pay at reception. There is no breakfast although you can help yourself to coffee from 7am and make some toast (jam, peanut butter, nuttella supplied). Within 100m of the hotel are a few very good restaurants - offering thai and western meals at excellent prices.

Absolutely the best refrigerator freezer combo in a hotel room I ever seen. Also the air conditioning was one of the best I seen so far with basically all the same options you have in devices at your home. Small restaurants close by served really authentic and tasty Thai dishes. Walking deeper into the old town in search for good meals was not that rewarding TBT.

Location is a bit confusing because nothing is really close by but not that far away either so you basically end up walking long distances or riding taxis or tuk-tuks for quite short rides all the time.

Comfortable beds and spacious room. Shower was hot with good water pressure. The kids loved the swimming pool even if the water was a bit cold (it’s January though). Staff were very accommodating and helped us to arrange multiple trips. Free coffee and toasts every morning, even if our booking was supposed to be excluding breakfast.

Nothing significant to mention. Some parts of the hotels could be better utilized like the common room downstairs to chill out, the hotel still has more potential.
