We spent 7 nights at Long Beach, wow, what a place, there is a real chilled yet happy vibe at Long Beach, a real selection of clientele, lots of families but equally older couples, blending wonderfully together. I miss walking out of our villa barefoot for the whole day, the sea is superb at that part of long beach, the facilities are beautiful. Villa's are well equipped, the breakfast was awesome, the little spots on nightly entertainment that you could dip in or out of. But for us the staff particularly at Lym's are some of the best we encountered on our trip, big thank you's to Monny, Anny & Poppy you were so much for and really made our stay special. Loved the WhatsApp with reception so you could organise trips/massages/tuktuk's from your sun lounger if you wanted. We hired a car for a day which was great value organised seamlessly through the hotel. There are so many bars/restaurants that you can get to easily either walking or a short tuktuk journey away that this resort really does have everything. We even loved the storm that came through!

We didn't like leaving, wish you were closer so we could visit for the weekend :-)

Beautiful property with a beautiful beach. We liked that we had our own bungalow that had character compared to a traditional resort. Pools were lovely, and breakfast delicious with a lot of variety. The on-site restaurant was great as well, and we enjoyed a few meals there. There are also some nice shops and restaurants on the Main Street and it was easy for us to explore with a younger child. Staff were kind and helpful. Wonderful experience.

Our only complaint was the number of non-hotel guests that came from different parts of the beach and staked claim on many of the beach loungers. If you don’t grab one early, they were hard to come by which was frustrating.

There are many things to like about this property. The location is great - slightly more quiet than farther north but also close to many things you might need. The staff were all very helpful and kind. Our room as massive and totally lived up to our expectations.

They REALLY need to get more beach chairs. Even though they have signs everywhere about not saving chairs, there were people getting up before sunrise to stake their claim on chairs and then not using them but an hour or two all day. But this is likely because of the extreme shortage of chairs for the number of people staying at this property.

Absolutely stunning!! Meant to stay 3 night and we extended to 6. Amazing resort, very welcoming and professional staff, delightful breakfast. Very nice pool area. Room was amazing (we stayed in the pavilion room with spa bath) which was upgraded for free. Great room service too. Honestly we felt sad we had to leave this morning.

We loved our stay at this hotel! Our villa was very comfortable, set in the second row from the beachfront, with a spacious and always clean bathroom. The TV with Netflix was a great bonus, and the complimentary water in the room also. The breakfast was excellent. The pick-up service from Saladan Pier went perfectly (make sure to contact the hotel in advance to arrange this service, which is included in the stay), and the buggy system for transporting luggage from the parking area to the reception and the room (and vice versa at check-out) was very convenient. During our stay, we asked the reception for help booking a last-minute tour to Koh Kradan. Even during high season, when many options were already fully booked, the staff member went above and beyond to find a solution for us. The tour ended up being amazing! The beach in front of the hotel is stunning, and the pool is great. We wish we had stayed a few more days to fully enjoy everything the hotel has to offer. Definitely a hotel we highly recommend and would love to return to!

The wait time in the restaurant for food is long. I wouldn’t recommend the pizzas, they are expensive and not the best... Also, while there are signs stating that sun beds cannot be reserved and that towels used for this purpose will be removed, in reality, sun beds were always taken with no one there, and I never saw any staff enforcing this rule. Overall, it was a fantastic experience, and we would love to return, but these small issues could make the stay even better!

Location was excellent, fantastic breakfast with very kind and attentive service staff.

Beach chairs not all in good repair, and not able to move the chairs to keep in the shade. It also seems that people not staying in the hotel use the chairs and loungers which makes it hard for hotel guests to get a chair on the beach. In this price point, I would expect the chairs to be for hotel guests only, and for that to be monitored or enforced in some way.

We stayed in a Deluxe Garden Loft, which was quite far from the beach and close to the main road. The room was great. I loved the seating and hammock underneath. Big fat fluffy pillows and a firm bed but not rock hard. Breakfast had a good selection and staff were very attentive. In the end, we loved our secluded spot with our own pool away from the melee. Bit of a walk to breakfast or the beach. 4 bottles of water daily. Would stay again.

A/C above the wardrobe! Towel rail inside the shower also strange. Turn the shower on full for the first time and all the towels get wet.

The hotel and the grounds are lovely. The beachfront rooms are gorgeous. The generous supply of fresh water each day was much appreciated and the replenishment of tea, coffee and snacks. The cute towel animals on the bed each morning was lovely. The cleaning ladies are to be commended. They are highly professional and very friendly.

We had a fabulous time there. The only thing I can think of is that I feel as though the pool area may benefit from having some oversized pot plants placed around. It is quite hot up on the deck and some greenery would really help visually cool the space.

The property and our room was very clean.

Food was not great at the restaurant and the staff were slow to take orders. We found the staff in general to be slow to serve us and it felt like once we had checked out they didn’t really care about us. We had to ask if our taxi had arrived when it had in fact and they never told us.

Gorgeous, chilled placed. I was a bit dubious when I booked as the place is rated SHA 3 stars but the high season price was similar to 5 star resorts. I’m glad I went ahead - Long Beach Chalet was perfect for our needs - low key, beautiful, chilled, with all the comforts you need. We stayed in a Lagoon Pavillion room. A rare occasion when the in-person experience exceeds the photos! The decor and quality of furnishings were excellent - much better than expected- coastal/ chic/ thoughtful. Room was spacious and cleverly designed for privacy ( you can use the balcony jacuzzi without anyone seeing you ) Apple and Ma did a fantastic job cleaning the rooms and left wonderful towel animals which my daughter loved! Complimentary snacks, water, soft drinks were a nice touch. Breakfast was a great spread. The pool was lovely and clean ( and we loved the high quality double, cushioned sunbeds). Plenty of sunbeds and high quality bean bags on beach as well. The restaurant and cafe are run by 3rd parties but reasonably priced considering it is a resort. There are other restaurants and bars on beach / road minutes away. The front desk helped with ferry transfers and transport - quick , well priced and efficient. We organised our own island tour ( Lanta Dream and Paradise - highly recommend)

One thing - cash only for restaurant, cafe, transfers, laundry ( anything other than room charge). In this day and age there should be a digital solution even for things run by 3rd parties ( we’d rather pay the 4% surcharge to use card than have to remember to take cash everywhere - or at least be given the option). Call-to-prayer at what I assume is a nearby mosque woke us up a couple of times in the mornings ( but of course hotel can’t control that! ) These are relatively minor things though - overall stay was truly fabulous.
