Location was right on the beach. Rooms were large clean and tidy (beds a little firm for me) staff were helpful, pools were excellent, plenty of choice at breakfast but was a bit of a bun fight with it being a large resort. Would recommend a visit to the old town , the night market was great (short taxi rides away). Other great beaches to visit and plenty of restaurants up and down the beach to watch an amazing sunset or work to the main road of bars and restaurants there.

If you are not sitting on a sunbed by 6.30am you won’t get a bed. There is a sign asking guests not to reserve them or towels will be removed. However everyone ignores this. As the resort has older guests they are up early and putting towels out very early. I made it my mission to beat them so waking up at 6.15am one morning I went to reserve a bed and was shocked to see the number of beds already taken. I did mention it to the hotel and they did say they would remove towels just ask.

Nakara is a beautiful resort with nearly 200 rooms. With 2 swimming pools, a location on Long Beach. My standard bungalow is comfortable and spacious (you can open 2 suitcases, the room is not small). I liked: the spacious room, the pleasant terrace, the vegetation, the bedding, the lighting, the refrigerator and the safe. Regarding the bathroom, it is large and a wall separates the toilet from the shower, but the downside of this hotel or this room is the sink and shower faucets. The faucets are rusty, in very poor condition. There is also a problem with water pressure. The cleaning of the bathroom floor is approximate and the toilet and toilet bowl are dirty. Just rub the floor around the toilet with a piece of paper to understand. Breakfast is included in the price and is very generous and varied. The staff is friendly. You can ask for beach towels. Despite the hotel's recommendations, at breakfast time many guests put their towels on the loungers. At 10am it is rare to find a lounger available. I even saw people occupying 3 loungers by the sea and blocking 2 other loungers near the pool. I will return to this hotel if something is done about the taps and water pressure. The Nakara is a very nice establishment in a good location. The beach is superb.

The bathroom

The location was amazing close to the stunning white beach. The bungalows are lovely and our was quite secluded too.

Unfortunately, due to people's ignorance and chose to ignore the signs about leaving their red towels on the lounger when not using was NOT adhered too. There was so many not following this rule which made it unfortunate for people wanting to get a lounger in the day. Seems these people must be up at 7am to 'drop' their towels off then head back to bed/walk/breakfast and leave others with no option to not sit by the pool. Disappointing did mention to reception and she said 'they know the rules'.

The pool was great, beautiful beach right out the door. The staff was wonderful, cocktails made well, rooms were large and AC worked well. Good location along the beach and walkable to different restaurants.

Bathroom a bit outdated, breakfast was the same each day, very western and quite basic, beds were not so comfortable and pillows awful. Price was quite high.

(+) Amazing location, beach just a few steps away, the hotel area is full of greenery which makes it feel more inviting. (+) Daily cleaning, especially appreciated frequent changing of the bedsheets. (+) Very friendly staff. Helping with any inquiries immediately. (+) Not crowded beach and no waves (easy to swim for any level). (+) Perfect AC which is important in this climate.

(-) Worn out towels. (-) Pressure in the shower is very low. Bathroom is very outdated, especially WC.(-) Breakfast has lots of options but most of them are Thai dishes with chicken which doesn’t make sense as >95% of guests are from Europe/America. Fruit/vegetable are not covered by anything against flies. Vegetables are not fresh. Coffee is really bad so I’d recommend taking your own. (-) No slippers/bathrobes in Superior Room. (-) Dining area is very outdated and not inviting to have lunch/dinner: no background music, no live performances (like in other hotels nearby), no evening lights. Food was 4/10.

The hotel was perfect. Location was great, you can hire peds to get around from the resort. The rooms were cosy and modern. There is a gym. Was right on the beach so you had the best of both worlds with the sea and pools. Breakfast was fantastic. Staff were lovely and there are plenty of restaurants walking distance along the beach. Also there is lanta animal welfare centre 10 minutes away would highly recommend.

The sunbeds are taken quite early so be up and quick 8/9am should be fine. our room was far out from reception and we had trouble with the Wi-Fi, but once we spoke to reception, they sorted it the next day.

Beautiful place to relax, the pool in front of the beach is simply amazing. The staff is very friendly, always with a smile on their face and trying to help you have the best experience. The breakfast is good, similar to what you see in most hotels in Thailand. The room is very spacious and well equipped, always hot water and with good pressure. Without a doubt, our visit to Koh Lanta would not have been the same without this beautiful hotel.

I loved the location of this hotel. It is right on the beach. It is a bit of a distance from the town. They offer a shuttle service. The staff is friendly. Their breakfast offers a good selection of food.

As pointed out by others, the beds are hard. This is very common in South Eastern Asia.

Great position on the beach. Nearby bars and restaurants along the sand. Lovely pool area. Fab beachfront bungalow, very spacious and clean…..decorated for our honeymoon 🥰 Staff wonderful and helpful. Hired a scooter for a day and saw the rest of the island but our position seemed the best. Thanks for the beautiful memories 😊

Better monitoring of towels on sunbeds that were there for hours and not used! Policy of 1to 2 hour and staff remove them would be good as not enough sun beds for everyone to begin with

We booked Nakara last minute for New Year's Eve, and I was more than surprised that we even found a room. The place was amazing—the beach and pool area were stunning. I loved the included breakfast and the variety of options, especially the coconut pancakes, which I totally recommend! I loved this place so much that I would come back next year without hesitation.

The only downside was that our room didn’t have WiFi.
