The staff had created a lovely and welcoming environment. The beds were so comfortable I was tempted to stay in my room all day! I know where to go any time I'm visiting Istanbul. Special thanks to Jay for holding events and bringing guests together every night. Thanks to Murat for taking the time to make conversation with all guests. The karaoke we did was so much fun and everyone there made me feel like home. Although I was traveling alone for the very first time to another country, I was never lonely and it was thanks to the people working there. I will miss everyone there. Can't thank you enough.

It used to be a great place to stay when I visited Istanbul 3 years ago. I did not get the same vibes/ energy as it used to be. It is still a relatively good place to stay with a great location to meet all your basic needs that close to all main attractions in Sultanahmet.

Please replace all your pillows and mattresses. The pillows are very lumpy, and we could feel all the springs in those mattresses as well.

I was first welcomed by a man but I forgot to ask for his name. He might be in his 50s/60s and speaks little English and his hospitality was outstanding. I arrived early in the morning and he offered me coffee, water and a sandwich, some music, put my phone to charge and showed me around. This is the first time this has happened to me and I will definitely be back in Istanbul and stay at the same hostel. I did not spend much time there but enjoyed the beautiful view from the terase and the fact that our room had a separate bathroom, it helps when you arrive late or have to wake up early..

The light in our room stopped working but as I mentioned I just slept and showered at the hostel and everything was good enough for me especially for the price

I had an amazing experience during my stay at this hostel. Thanks to Yuna, Feyza, Linda and Atilla for theirs ncredibly welcoming and they were always ready to assist with any queries or requests. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, offering a great balance between affordability and comfort. The location was also a huge plus—close to key attractions and public transport, making it easy to explore the area. The hostel had a warm and friendly vibe, making it easy to meet other travelers. The common areas were inviting and perfect for both socializing and relaxing.

1000 out of 10. The hostel is really good placed, easy to reach and close to the main attractions of that area. You can walk from there to Hagia Sophia, the Grand Bazar, to the beach area and so many other places. Breakfast is the authentic Turkish one therefore there’s no risk of starvation 🤣 You can also order lunch and dinner there which is gonna be definitely worth it. The owner and the stuff are just really kind and available. We had a lovely time together chatting and laughing. The terrace has a nice view and there you’ll be able to get to know the rest of the guests. If you’re a solo female traveler as I am, then you won’t ever feel bored or alone. I had the most amazing experience and it was totally unexpected. Definitely one of the best hostels I’ve been to. Can’t wait to be back.

A well-run hostel with high standards. I found all the staff were very friendly, helpful and professional, sometimes going above and beyond the call of duty. Great bar/ social area with nightly activities. Jay, the batman, literally serves the biggest, coldest and cheapest proper pint in Istanbul. Also a real gentleman and a talented DJ. The hostel is well located- only 10 minutes from all the sights in Sultanamet. Includes a sumptuous breakfast.

The team that runs Cheers Lighthouse are amazing! Elif, Yuna, Atlla (the ‘short man’), Linda & Soogin were so welcoming, full of great tips and made you feel as if you were staying in their family home. Always huge smiles to wake up to and come home to at the end of every day. The location is perfect - walking distance to a lot of main sites and also nearby public transport. It was very clean, with housekeeping every day. Breakfast was also delicious.

My friends and I stayed at Cheers Lighthouse for a wee over a week and had the best time ever! this is one of the hostels with best atmosphere I ever been at, everyone, from the staff to the other guests felt like family and it was so sad to say bye at the end, you got everything you could hope for at this hostel, awesome location (just a few minutes walking from the Tram line T1 and the bus to catch the ferry by the Galata bridge) located just a few metres from the main Mosques Santa Sofia and the Blue Mosque and with all the commodities of a hostel but with the vibrant and fun feeling of a hostel, the views are to die for, they offer food and a cozy common space/bar/chill-out area with a balcony. The hostel offers daily events with an awesome variety, from belly dancer shows, to BBQ and pub crawl nights. Honestly, this is coming from a person who works at a hostel too and I can't recomend this enough. We stayed in a private room, which is perfect for any solo traveller looking for that extra luxurious privacy, and for couples! the beds are big and comfy and come with comp towels, mini fridge and a shower with the best water pressure ;) much needed after a long day/night exploring the city and partying at the hostel bar. I can only say, stay here, if you are a solo traveller you will make memories for life, and for an extra tip, start practicing your fab karaoke songs, you can thank me later ;)! Nothing, everything was brilliant.

The hostel is located in a beautiful area of Istanbul, all the sights are within walking distance. The staff is very friendly. I want to say thank you to Yuna, she was very attentive to all my requests, helped me a lot on many issues. The bar offers a beautiful view of the sea. The bar is staffed by very caring Linda and Feyza. The breakfasts on the terrace overlooking the Bosphorus were delicious.

I loved the friendliness of the staff, their availability, the Turkish night they made for all the guests. the Hotel is in the center of almost everything, Agia Sofia, Sultan Ahmet, boat trips, the Grand Bazaar.We don't have the right to parking, but they took away their cars so that ours could be safely. Well, these were things I wanted to see in Istanbul and I was lucky enough to live nearby. For those who love music and environments with great joy, I recommend staying here
