Excellent helpful staff, great location, comfortable & clean rooms

Breakfast could be better with more fruit and better coffee

Although the Dersaadet property is beautiful (with antique and vintage elements very well maintained, an excellent location just 5 minutes walk from the Blue Mosque et al, and a scenic rooftop overlooking the sea where you have breakfast) - it’s the staff at the hotel who really stand out. Every person there is SO helpful and kind, and truly go out of their way to guarantee that you have a positive and comfortable experience. Also, the breakfast is great, and the hot water/water pressure are also great. I cannot imagine a better place to stay in Istanbul. Just as a side note, having free coffees and beers available on the rooftop terrace at night is such a nice touch.

My only suggestions are that for many Western travelers the rooms may feel a little “old fashioned” compared to many American hotel rooms - but this is part of the experience of staying in such an historic property.

The staff is amazing and very polite and attentive. The location was perfect. It was a a pretty quiet neighborhood but very close to most points of interest. The blue mosque and Hagia Sophia were within a 10 minute walk, the Grand Bazaar was about 15-17 minute walk and the Spice Bazaar is about 20-25 minute walk. Breakfast is very good and has a great view. I travel alone and the hotel made sure that I felt safe and there is always someone at the front desk and they check each visitor by calling your room to make sure you were expecting a visitor. Definitely felt safe.

The decor is suppose to be vintage but the wallpaper was coming off the wall which didn't bother me. Other than that it was perfect.

Great location, near restaurants, bazar and a 5 minute walk from Haiga Sophia and Blue Mosque. Safe to walk at night. Quiet, next to Sea of Marmara.

Breakfast was too basic, not enough options, hardly any fruit available. Only coffee and tea, 2€ for orange juice.

Amazing experience! We stayed for 4 nights as part of our honeymoon and we can't be happier. The breakfast at the terrace is the highlight - great variety and very delicious. The rooms are very clean and comfortable. The location is excellent - easy to walk to all main tourist attractions and restaurants. The staff is outstanding - always ready to help and trying to make our stay even better. I forgot my phone in the hotel after we left and they are very kind and currently helping me try to get it back. Recommended!

We liked everything!

Breakfast was a daily delight. Quality tops, great selection, lots of options for varying the meal from day to day. The scrambled eggs were especially good, not overcooked. Wish I had the recipe for that spicy Georgian-Abkhazian garnish.

Only difficulty was sometimes getting lost finding my way back, especially after dark.

We loved the hotel. It was small and quaint with an exceptionally friendly and helpful staff. The room was comfortable with a sea view when you come in. The location was ideal for touring and we loved the breakfasts on the balcony overlooking the sea and the Blue Mosque.

Paying for eggs and omelets.

Great location, and staff could not have been more helpful. Very comfortable room, and a really nice quiet roof top area to have a drink, eat breakfast or just look at the lovely view over the Bosphurus. would definately come back again.

5 to 10 minutes from the Blue Mosque and Hagia Sophia. The bed is quite comfy, and I slept very well. Amazing employees, especially at the front desk, who are extremely helpful and polite. The room is always clean; you may occasionally hear people in the hallway, but I think that is normal in Istanbul. I like the breakfast as well; it has everything I need. I would love to stay again when I come back to Istanbul
