We stayed at Elasophia Hotel from July 7th to July 16th and enjoyed our stay very much. The location of the hotel is very optimal. From our window, we could see Hagia Sophia, which is about as central as you're going to get in Sultanahmet. The tram goes by right outside the hotel, and the station of Gülhane is around 3 minutes of walking from the hotel. It was easy for us to get around in Istanbul from the hotel - the tram, metro, and boats were easily accessible. It is close to several streets filled with great food, entertainment, and shopping opportunities. The hotel is connected to a restaurant where the breakfast is served from 08.30-10.30. They had both traditional turkish seating (cushions) and dining tables. The breakfast was delicious, and the hot foods served changed every day. The rooms were very nice, but the thing that stood out most to us was the staff. Both those in reception, the restaurant, and the cleaning crew were very nice, welcoming, and accommodating to any requests we had. We enjoyed talking to them a lot, and they helped us with what to do whilst staying in Istanbul. To top if all of the hotel is affordable compared to others in the same location.

Excellent location. excellent staff especially Mustafa on the front desk. The house keeping old lady extremely hard working, meticulous & courteous. The second person Nadir I guess was extremely polite and helpful as well. Small but very clean rooms. Very good restaurant on ground floor. Laundry only a few feet away. Tram station only a few hundred feet away. Actually Sultan Ahmet Tram/Train station about 1/2 km away and Gulhane Train station about 1/4 km away. walk is around 5 min. Hagia Sofia 2-3 min away, Topkapi Palace about 2 min walk (almost opposite the hotel).

Beware of room no. 102 where the bathroom is extremely smelly due to a bad P-Trap as a very pungent drain smell comes from an apparently extremely clean bathroom. We had 2 adjacent rooms and second adjacent room 101 had perfectly fine bathroom, with zero smell, the way it should be. No elevator. Almost no lobby.

Location is perfect! It is right next to main attractions such as Hagia Sofia, Basilica Cistern, etc. The restaurant downstairs is also good, getting busy for lunch and dinner. Breakfast here is amazing, with the entire restaurant downstairs blocked for the hotel guests. Easily accessible with taxi or tram. Wifi is pretty decent, can't complain. Staff is good, always try to help whenever and wherever they could, they did try their maximum.

Room could be quieter, as the passing tram service every 2-5 minutes is noisy and the room is not sound proofed. The A/C was too old and made loud noise at night. Although this was reported to the reception, there was nothing much they could do about it. Bathroom cleanliness could be improved. Guests carrying luggage bags; please note that there is no elevator, so you need to carry it upstairs (only 1 floor). Breakfast menu is the same everyday (we stayed for over a week), would be good to see multiple options.

The room was nice and comfortable. Cleanliness was maintained, rooms were cleaned everyday of our stay. Location wise the hotel is excellent. It is walking distance to most of the attractions and tram station is a minutes walk away. The staff, especially Muzafer was extremely welcoming and helpful throughout our stay. Anything we asked for he provided in the first instance. Our stay would not have been the same without him. The breakfast provided was also excellent.

There are 2 floors in the hotel but no lift. It was not a problem for us though.

The location of the hotel is perfect and is close to a lot of sightseeings and museums. The hotel staff was very nice, kind and cooperative. Especially Muzaffer Bey and Mustafa Bey are super courteous and helped us with all our problems. The breakfast is also very delicious. The kitchen staff prepares various turkish meals. I would definitely suggest everyone to eat Gözleme ☺️

Staff was very welcoming and nice. Thanks to Muzafer for helping with everything that was needed and arranging a smooth transfer to airport. Rooms were cleaned everyday. Location of the hotel is very convenient as it is close to all the main attractions. The breakfast and the view we had while eating was magnificent. The place definitely has Turkish vibe. Beautiful pictures and full stomach is guaranteed) I highly recommend this place to stay in your visit to Istanbul! Big thanks from Kazakhstan!

Close to all main attractions. Within walking distance to Hagia Sophia, Topkapi palace, Gulhane park and tram. Very close to many shops and eating options. Very safe and convenient. Staff were especially helpful thanks Uras, Abideen and Tina. Breakfast is good and breakfast staff are very helpful. Overall Elasophia were very helpful for our family needs and accommodating to our two toddlers. THANKS ELASOPHIA!

The hotel is in Sultanahmet and you go by foot to Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace and Old Cisterna of the city. The breakfast was delicious and the room was clean and big enough. I see other complain about the size of the room, they don't take into consideration that this part of the city is very old and is based on the old streets and buildings. The hotel is close to the tram line and you can go to Galata or other places you want to see. Also for the one who come with car, there are two parking around (OTO Park) i suggest : Zeynep Sultan Camii Sk. Otoparkı.

Overall it was great experience. Staff was friendly specially Mustafa, Murtaza & Tina. They really helped us a lot in sense of finding things we were looking for.

No trash bin inside room. no water for coffee. ac wasn't good. beds were small in size. Did not provide extra blanket on request. WiFi network wasn't good. Breakfast was not good either and did not have a lot of variety of choices.

Good service & experience for such a small place. They will guide & advice you to ensure you get the best bang for your money. Its walking distance to majority of the tourist places in the area so you won't need a metro. If you get a room facing the main road be prepared for the tram noise but the view of the mosque (Aya Sofya) made worth it. The breakfast is amazing. They have a great travel desk & local sweets shop (ottoman style) on the ground floor. A big thank you to Musafer abi and the team. Will visit this hotel again for sure!
