The staff were very friendly and helpful, breakfasts were simple, but homemade by a very sweet lady Tamara and we never left the canteen hungry. Also the location, it’s perfect! a quiet street in the center of old city, close to metro, marmaray line, tram and ferries. Best of all: good heating system with real radiators, not AC (tho AC is also available), which is especially important for those, who travel in winter.

The building is understandably old, same as the interior. The furniture in the bathroom was literally falling apart. The hotel definitely wants good repair and redecoration. For the price we paid it was expectable. Removed the stars for an alive and kicking red cockroach which was found running from the tea tray, where cups, teabags and sugar were kept, on the day of our arrival. When I informed the receptionist, he just chuckled, so I feel like this is normal for the place. (yet, I must admit that was the only time I saw a cockroach within a 6-nights vacation)

- This hotel is cheap, I didn't expect Hilton's standards... but don't believe what you see in the photos, it is much worse in reality. - Horrible smell coming from the bathroom drains. Told the manager, nothing happened. - I myself manage an apartment on booking.com and I know how important customer comments and ratings are; that's why I am compassionate and don't want to give a bad score. But it should be penalized when hosts mislead customers with photos or information provided on booking.com and then the room is... this.

It was a great location - central to so much of what we wanted to do and see. The room was spacious - for three people. Beds were great. Above all, the staff was excellent - friendly, helpful.

The breakfasts were okay but when you are there for 3 or more days, there could be a bit more variety. Still, what was served was good and there was lots to eat.

The staff here was very nice and helpful. They helped with ordering cheaper taxi. They keep our baggage after checkout for the whole day and even gave us free hot tea after we checked out while we were waiting for the taxi. The hotel itself is nice and clean for it's price in a good location.

My family and I had a great experience. Iskandar had been extremely friendly and helpful throughout my stay. The location was excellent with all tourist attractions nearby, one minute away from the Gulhane Tram station. We booked the King suite and the room was not as big as the name suggests but fair enough for the price we paid for it. Room service was available on call. Limited but decent options for breakfast with a very friendly lady there to greet and help. We'd love to stay there again.

There's no elevator. Bringing the stroller up and down was the only hassle I faced there.

My friend and i were there for 6 nights and it was absolutely amazing, the location is right where you should be if you want to be close to all main museums (aya sofia , bule mosque..) the heart of istanbul, streets are calm and we feel safe... the room we had was spacious , neat and clean. very charming old building you can feel istanbul's spirit between the walls :) ♡ (but renovated ofcourse) and last but not least the staff is amazing , everyone of them from the manager , receptionists, tamara the lady in the kitchen is a sweetheart, anyone who works there is kind, caring and very supportive, anything you need they are here for your service. ps: they dont do room sevice automatically, you just ask and they respond.

The hotel's location turned out to be fortunate — in close proximity to major attractions and transportation routes. This made our stay even more convenient and allowed us to fully enjoy the city atmosphere. The room was well-equipped with all the necessary amenities for a comfortable stay. The hotel is situated between small quiet streets and delighted with the absence of street noise. The windows overlooked neighboring buildings, adding a touch of charm. However, through the gaps between the buildings, some local landmarks were visible. I especially want to highlight the friendliness and professionalism of the staff. They were ready to answer any questions and provide necessary assistance, creating an atmosphere of care and comfort. The overall impression of staying at Le Safran Suite Hotel is a successful combination of proximity to city attractions, comfort, and hospitality.

The best location in the old town, in a historic wooden building. The staff is amazing and super accommodating, even when we kept extending our stay last minute. They also gave us a free room upgrade when ours wasn't ready, and They help you take your bags to your room. The woman who cleans and prepares breakfast is amazing, and she makes somany options. The hotel is less then 5 minutes walk from Topkapi Palace and Archaeology museum. AyaSophia and Sultanahmet mosques are 10-15 minute walk, and you can reach the tram and metro within minutes.

Hotel could use some updates, but adds some charm.

Very close to Hagia Sofiya and nearby 'must see' sites. Also close to a pleasant park. But nevertheless, on a quiet side-street, so not at all noisy. Perfect for a good night's sleep while being in the centre of everything and handy to a tram-line.

I didn't have any real problems. I had to ask a local where the hotel was even when I was 20m away, because it really is tucked in a quiet corner. Not all the rooms have views, but I wasn't paying a room-with-a-view price. It was excellent value for the price.
