Ilkay and staff were so welcoming and helpful, communication was excellent. They were always able to be contacted when I needed anything. My apartment was small and clean, perfect for one or two guests. I felt very secure at all times coming and going (very important for a solo woman traveller) and it was lovely to have a lift to get my luggage upstairs and also after a long day of walking. The location is extremely close to all the public transport options or even a leisurely stroll to the bazaars or Galata Tower, so getting about was a breeze. There are plenty of lovely little local eateries a short walk away, as well as mini markets for supplies.

The kitchen is very small and fine for making a simple meal or tea/coffee but a bit restrictive with counter space for preparing more complex meals - but I was mostly dining out or getting food to go, so it wasn’t a major issue. It is an older building, so soundproofing isn’t amazing, but that is the case with most accommodation in Istanbul.

This was my second stay, turned out my flight was at 1,40 am so I was only there for the afternoon, evening. Staff had kept some items of mine for my return and they were waiting in my room. And I had an early check in, which was very handy for a shower and a nap n

The location of the property was good in terms of walking distance to tram stop/galata tower. The apartment was spacious and very clean. The staff were nice, they messaged us during our stay asking if we need room cleaning/towel change or sth else and they let us leave our bags at the reception after check out for several hours. Overall it was a great value for money and a pleasant experience.

The apartment and its equipment is a lot older than it seems from the photos, however it is very clean. We had a room on the first (ground) floor and it was pretty dark the whole day. The walls at the property are quite thin, we heard a lot of noise especially in the morning and at night. There was a water heating device in our room and it was pretty loud at first but you can get used to it I guess (it is probably only in this one specific room). Even though the location was good to get to public transport or walk to galata tower, the apartment was situated in a side street and was sourrounded by local electronics shops. The neighbourhood was messy and smelly in the late evenings/nights and mornings, it never felt dangerous though.

The hosts were very responsive - any issue which rose they came to solve immediately. The room was very clean upon arrival and well equipped. The location was very close to a metro station, a supermarket, and a couple of food vendors - it was also a close walk to many places. The building was also very safe.

The room was a bit different to how it seemed in the pictures - it wasn’t as spacious as it appeared to be. There was also very little privacy, as the window of our room faced another building so it was impossible to even keep the curtains open.

The rooms are exactly as you see in the pictures, quite modern with nice new furniture and small kitchen and clean bathroom. Beds were comfortable and the air conditioning was great, also Wifi was working perfectly. Staff were helpful and really quick to respond, they accepted to keep our luggage for two days before our check-in because we were travelling to another city which was so helpful. Location is really good in the sense that it’s close to many attractions, Istiklal street and Galata towers and Kadikoy beach at nights and all the restaurants and shops. Also close to Metro and bus station for public transport.

The last two nights there were some smells in the bathroom for some hours and I wasn't sure if something happened or not, but it was quite strong and disturbing! Also the street where the apartment is located is a bit empty at nights because it's mainly some stores during the day, so not super nice to walk back home at night, also it was so difficult for the taxi to go there in the day as most of the streets are closed by stores and their cars, so keep it in mind.

Good location, close to everything, the street where the apartment was located looks a little bit scary during night, but everything was fine.

Noise, room needs some refurbishments, but overall good value.

The apartment is good for it's cost. It's close to Galata tower, and the metro and bus stations are also close. It's got everything we were looking for - private bathroom, kitchenette, and it was very affordable considering how expensive Istanbul generally is. It was exactly how it looks in the pictures. The staff was really nice. Behlul gave us a very detailed explanation of how to get there, check-in and check-out, he did a really good job. Overall, it was a really pleasant stay!

Generally there's not much we didn't like. The kitchenette could be a bit better equipped, and the mattress on the bed could be changed to be a bit more comfortable. I would also appreciate if we had a broom or a mop in the room to clean up the floor a bit since we staid for a week. But those are just super small details. Overall it's a good place for the amount we paid!
