okay the location was INCREDIBLE! if you want to walk around and literally be next to the main attractions of the misri souq, aya sophia, topkapi, all the bazzares and old souqs - then this is the place to be! the hotel is located on a side street in the center next to dozens of shops. the staff were so incredible and kind upon our arrival. they offered us the rooms for early check in as we had traveled through the night and were dead beat by the time we arrived. the hotel was clean but a bit humble in its design. the rooms were very clean but small. you have to make sure you check out the size of the room as you book them. the breakfast was not very good at the hotel and with very limited options on the buffet. An omlette was an extra charge and you had to pay at the table. the restaurant staff were abit stuff but nonetheless responsive. this is where I recommend you ditch the breakfast at the hotel option and you walk around the adjacent streets and have way more options for a reasonable price. food in Turkey is not expensive and their breakfast platters are always very very impressive.

the bathroom drainage and ventilation system is really poor and smelly. it’s a repeated comment and hopefully they act upon it. the other comment is that on the first day, we had staff come into our rooms during the day while we were sleeping. this was one of the worst experiences for me in a hotel. the last thing you want to feel is insecure in your own room! granted, they came inside to place complimentary fruits and water bottles, but still it was unacceptable. this brings me to the next point where they don’t have chain locks on the door to provide the level of security against anyone getting into your room. the hotel is situated in a side street so there is no real view to be expected other than adjacent roof tops and the beautiful skies of Istanbul.

Our stay at the Grand Sirkeci was great as the hotel is situated very near to all the main sightseeing locations. We walked to Hagia Sofia, Basilica cistern and the blue mosque etc. Our room was clean and comfortable with daily room service, towel change and Turkish breakfast available. The hotel staff were helpful and polite.

I found it strange that we had to pay extra when we asked for omelette and fried eggs during breakfast instead of boiled eggs which were included in the buffet breakfast option. I guess both are made with eggs so not sure why we had to pay extra. Our room cost included breakfast.

The staff at Grand Sirkeci Hotel are welcoming , kind and attentive. I want to specifically thank Irem & Kaan who went out of their to assist me, including booking an inter-city train. The room was comfortable and clean. The location is perfect - very central and vibrant As a solo female traveller I felt safe

generally I likes everything about this hotel and would visit for sure again if i travel to Istanbul again, but the main reasons that I loved our stay at the hotel are the following: Location, I can’t imaging better location to discover Istanbul. Staff, staff were nice and helpful with everything. Rooms, we booked three rooms, they were spacious and comfortable.

Room service must be better, we seen long hair( me and my wife both have short hair) in our folded towels twice and also brows flake on our bed sheet corners once.

The property is indeed near by all the touristic attractions you need to visit, so the location has a 10 . Although it is in the center of everything, the street is quiet so you can rest with no problem . here , the only problem would be the air conditioning (vents) on the other hotel near that is making a constant noise and you can hear it even with the door closed . The hotel is clean , a big plus for me , the cleaning personnel also very nice and on point with everything you might need . For one person , the room was ok, for two it would be pretty small and tight to have comfort . Nice breakfast with some solid options . The staff of the hotel was excellent , really nice and sociable people .

There is not something that I did not like , just as I mentioned previously, the vents making constant noise and the fact that for 2 people , the double is pretty small .

We liked our stay, very good location, in a busy street but gets very quiet at night so perfect to rest after a long day of exploring the city. Close to the Yemii mosque so perfect for us. The staff was very welcoming, helpul and friendly. The rooms are quite spacious, enough for two people. Breakfast was a buffet and was excellent with many choices and very fresh and hot for the pastries. Do check the drawers, there was a prayer rug and the direction of the qibla which was very thoughtful and very much appreciated

The room service wasn't consistent every day. We stayed 4 nights, and sometimes there wouldn't be hand towels, or face towels. The shower is open so the floor gets wet as there isn't a bath mat. Some of the towels were dirty and had hairs on them. Nevertheless we enjoyed our stay and had a great holiday.

Everything was really nice, starting with the location of the property, which is nearby to everything, a lot of restaurants, shops, tourist agency. The property itself is well decorated and renovated, with a lot of elevators and stairs. Rooms are equipped with everything needed and reception is working 24/7 for you. Staff is very friendly, and they are always more than welcome to help with any request, starting with any advice and ending with arranging trips and transfers for you. Room service was done on the daily basis, including everything, or if something was missed you can always ask on the reception (like for example sometimes they forgot to put water, shampoos, or shower gels) Overall experience was really nice.

Grand serkeci Hotel is like home for me in istanbul. This hotel is managed by a highly qualified and professional manager. Mr. Ramazan Gul, who looks after every single detail himself to make sure that each guest is having what they need. It was my second time staying there and will always be my place to stay in istanbul. Thank you, Gozde, Omer, Farit, and the other staff.

I stayed for almost one week in the hotel and enjoyed my staying there especially because of the helpful nice personnel and very comfortable rooms. Special gratitude to Gökhan and Kaan - I had a lot of requests as a hotel guest and they did a great job to help and kindly assist me with all my issues / problems. In general, the personnel of the hotel is great, friendly and very respectful. The room was very clean, shower is great and bed is very comfortable. Plus everything necessary for staying is there. The location of the hotel is outstanding: a lot of shops / restaurants and main sightseeings in 5 min walk. Definitely staying next time here again!
