Everything was great. From stuff, comunication before arrival and during our stay, to help arange everything we needed. We used also airport transfer from and to airport and it was really the best we could do. The skills of the driver was awesome if you know how bad is traffic in Istanbul. If I go to Istanbul once again, I would definitelly stay in this hotel. Thank you.

The hotel has an excellent location. The staff made our stay an exceptional one and were always helpful, Muhammed and all the guys, especially front office manager Cihan. The room was neat, tidy and comfortable. The breakfast was varied and had a lovely spread of food each day. Very filling and nutritious. The wifi was excellent and worked well at all areas of the hotel. They even gifted us a farewell gift and just couldn't find any faults with anything. We really loved our stay and would definitely stay here again in future.

Listed a few things others have already mentioned: One access card, which when taken out, the aircon and fridge stop working, your drinks and room stays hot until you come back again. The room walls aren't soundproof and you can hear everything in the rooms on both sides, which can disturb your sleep. The bed doesn't have a proper duvet or blanket. These are small issues that can be resolved and I must stress this, it doesn't affect your stay at all because it is a lovely hotel with the very best of staff :)

The biggest highlight was the staff. The gentlemen at the front desk were always so friendly, kind and helpful. My biggest thanks and gratitude to each of them.

The shower head was broken, not able to be secured. The walls are also quite thin so you can hear the snoring next door.

This hotel is in an excellent location, close to the Blue Mosque, Topkapi Palace and Hagia Sophia, which are less than 10 minutes walk. The staff are friendly, professional and extremely helpful. The reception team were brilliant, particularly Ilham, Mohammed and the gentleman who helped us with our suitcases. There is a lift to all floors and breakfast consists of a wide range of fresh, delicious hot and cold foods. I would recommend asking the hotel to book transfers to and from the airport as they use the local taxi company who know the area well. The reception staff are also able book local tours and suggest activities. We had a very good experience here. We were a family of 5 and stayed in 2 adjoining suites.

the location is great everything is around you you don’t need to drive anywhere all tourist attractions like sultanahmet and topkapi are in walking distance Mohammed (Mehmet) is great guy kept following up with us before our arrival to make sure we arrive easily I recommend take transportation from the hotel as it is hard for taxis to know the location of the hotel as it is located by the tramway breakfast is diversified and delicious this isn’t me my fourth time stay and they kept their standards high

My experience truly agreed with all the former positive reviews that I read about Black Tulip. 1. Location: the hotel is in the vicinity to major attractions of the old town Sultanahmet (short, pleasant walking distance to Hagia Sophia, its museum, Basilica Cistern, the blue mosque, the palace and its garden, etc etc), it is also right on the metro route and a few seconds walk to the nearest stop if interested in visiting further destinations. It was about 15-20 mins walk to the grand bazzar or the Egyptian spice market, from there it was an easy, short ferry ride/walking across the bridge to visit the Asia side. Within the neighborhood, there are many good eats as well, most are quite touristy, but some hidden gem for sure if you look closely enough. 2. Staff: the staff welcomed us warmly upon arrival, they were always available to provide immediate services, I cannot say enough good things about our interactions with the team. I didn't just feel like a faceless traveler there. 3. Hotel: the room was very clean and had everything I needed. I was worried that the hotel would be noisy given that it was near the metro line, but it wasnt a problem. The breakfast always had a wide, satisfying selection and we were able to get enough fresh veggies and fruits for the day first thing in the morning everyday, which I highly appreciated given that it's not always easy to do so when on the road.

Nothing really, The room was a bit tiny, but I was traveling on a budget so that's on me.

Perfect location, literally close to everything by walking. near the main attractions of the old town. Lots of shops and restaurants around. For the things located further, the tram is right in front of the hotel so perfect for exploring the city. The staff very nice and accommodating, they gave us treats at the end of our journey. Very clean, room service and cleaning every day, bottles of water for free. The mattress is very firm, but we liked it that way. The pillows are very hard and firm, my friend didn t like it, but I did, so it's just up to each person's taste. Rooms are extremely small, even if we chose a bigger one. But we didn t mind. We were out all the time. Depends on what u really think it s important when booking a room. Breakfast fantastic. Lots of options. Vegetables, fruits, cakes, cooked food, salads, rice, potatoes, cheese, meat, eggs, u name it. They have it all. And varies every day so we didn t get bored of it at all. Loved it. If u are a light sleeper, get the room on the back or the hotel, not facing the street, since it can get quite noisy because of the central location. Wifi connection perfect in our room. All in all, definitely recommend the hotel, I d probably choose it again if I ever come back to Istanbul. Thank you for everything.

The walls are super thin, so u can hear everything from your neighbours. We were lucky and had only one guy in our first morning who was talking really loudly on the phone, but then, everything was quite and we rested and enjoyed our stay very well. It s also common in old buildings like this one.

Central location close to all major landmarks. Lots of F&B choices nearby. Tramline is extremely close making transportation within the city easy and efficient. The room we stayed in was clean and well-maintained. Nice breakfast buffet. Staff at the hotel are very friendly and helpful especially Efe, Mohamed, ilham and Furhan at Front Desk. They were responsive and attentive to our requests. We arrived early at the hotel before check-in time and were kindly offered free in-house breakfast by the manager. On the last day, we had to leave really early and to our surprise, Front Desk prepared a breakfast pack for us. We fully enjoyed the property’s hospitality and the professional service of the staff members.

This is a nice hotel in a perfect location in the city centre. The hotel is very clean, the staff is helpful and tries their best to run the property well. The breakfast is delicious, and a good choice of food and drinks is offered every morning. The rooms are quiet. All appliances work properly. The furniture is in good condition. The beds are comfortable. Some people wrote that the rooms were small. Actually, they were ok for us. Anyway, most people wouldn't come to Istanbul to stay in their rooms for the whole day, would they? There is so much to see in this wonderful city. Overall this hotel is a safe choice and offers very good value for your money. Look no further :-) At last, yes, we would choose this hotel once again if we come to Istanbul in the future.

Hotel was a great value. It is located near the attractions, ferry pier, Marmaray train station. Hotel itself is clean and comfortable. But the best was the personnel. They are so nice, helpful that we felt all the time welcome being there. They helped us in many small things, also provided gluten free options. Special respect to their quality of work

Many mention noise of tram from outside and noise of conditioner. Well, that's true, but earplugs solved this easily. Because of location and the building no surprise tram can be heard. One thing what a bit bothered me: one blanket is not really comfy
