Hotel Historia are truly the epitome of excellence in hospitality. This was our 4th visit to this property & as always, they exceeded all expectations. Hotel Historia has become our home away from home One of the key features of Hotel Historia is its remarkable staff. You step through the doors & greeted by the friendly faces of Zia & Halit at reception, who consistently go above & beyond. Their kindness & attentiveness set the tone for the entire stay. Onur, another standout team member, embodies the spirit of hospitality, effortlessly catering to the needs of guests with his great communication skills During this visit, we met Effey, a young ambitious team member who was respectful & caring. The culture of kindness & compassion extends throughout the entire hotel staff Travelling with friend & their family added an extra layer of joy to our stay & we were delighted when Hotel Historia gave us adjacent rooms. This thoughtful gesture allowed our children to roam freely & forge friendships with the staff, creating cherished memories that will last a lifetime Hotel Historia's commitment to sustainability is commendable. Their waste disposal initiatives & efforts to educate guests on sustainable practices reflect a deep sense of responsibility towards the environment. By minimising plastic waste & encouraging sustainability, Hotel Historia is leading by example in eco-friendly hospitality The breakfast buffet offers a delectable array of options, catering to every palate, while the meticulously clean rooms & dining area ensure a comfortable stay. The inclusion of safes, fridges & kettles in every room adds a level of convenience, particularly for families travelling with children In summary, Hotel Historia stands as a shining beacon of hospitality in Istanbul, a city we hold dear to our hearts.

While Hotel Historia undoubtedly excels in many aspects, there are a couple of areas for improvement. Family rooms would benefit from handheld showers to accommodate guests traveling with young children, and attention should be drawn to potential hazards such as small step near the reception seats to prevent falls and accidents.

The hotel is in a fantastic location. There are a good 20 restaurants within 50 yards of the hotel. Try e blue mosque, Hagia Sophia, cistern, Sultanahmet square are a 5 min walk. The seaside, gulhane park, Topkapi palace, grand bazaar are 15 min walk. Tram station is a 10 min walk. The property itself is basic and comfortable- don’t expect 5* facilities and amenities. Breakfast was free and there was ample food in the morning. The hotel staff are excellent particularly advising about travel, tours and local attractions. Book cruise tours and airport pick ups from the hotel. It is a cheaper price. Ziya and Halit were extremely helpful, knowledgeable and always available for help. For first time travellers buy a tran card and explore rather than a guided city tour. No attraction is more than a 15 min walk from here. The restaurant owners in the vicinity can be quite pushy - beware. Food is not cheap! We spent 50£ average for a family of 4 per meal (excluding breakfast) If you prefer take and go wraps and drink then go to grand bazaar. A special mention to the carpet and lamp store - Cakus emporium which is 20 m from the hotel. Very reasonably priced and the owner Majid is very friendly and reasonable.

All rooms have very basic amenities which was fine for us as we dint spend much time in the hotel. The hotel is close to the tramlines and they start at 6 am, last train at 11.30 so there is a lot of noise.

The staff was incredibly friendly, helpful, always smiling, genuinely interested into knowing if we were having a good time or if we were missing something. Everyone without exception. The breakfast was delicious and varied. The hotel has an amazing location, less than 5 minutes walk to the Blue Mosque. The Hotel is silent even thought it is located in an area full of restaurants. It has an amazing restaurant right next to it called Dubb Ethnic Restaurant, which I would also like to recommend. The room is small but comfortable and it has everything one needs. In summary, the hotel is very good but the staff takes it to another level. This was my 2nd time in Istanbul and I wouldn't hesitate on staying here if I go back.

To be honest I didn't dislike anything.

1- Friendly and accommodating hoteliers ( Mr. Halit and Mr. Yilmaz) made us feel right at home, English speaking 2- Mr. Halit was especially very helpful in curating our daily city exploration agenda 3- Fantastic room with exceptional biangular balcony view of the Bosphorus and Blue mosque. 4- Great Breakfast 5- Proximity to the Hagia Sofia, Blue Mosque, Tram Station, Gulhane park, Basilica cistern 6- Easy Access to Basic Amenities (Great Restaurants, Cafes, Groceries, Laundry etc.), Definitely coming back !!

-Can't think of any negatives except maybe bed comfort and size can be improved -Nothing else - Nada

I booked this Hotel for my mum and dads' trip to Istanbul for the first time. What can I say they loved Istanbul and the hotel itself. The location, all staff, cleanliness and hygiene of the hotel was superb. The hotel staff were warm welcoming and very friendly. Great variety of breakfast and staff made lovely omelette and eggs to request. The courtyard of the hotel was very pretty. Each staff memeber did everything is their best interest to help with recommendations and even help with shopping for souvenirs and local produce to bring back home. They recommend this hotel to all family and friends and will definitely be back inshallah.

The location is super - just in the old town near the sea (we had a nice sea view and balcony in our room) and a couple of minutes walking distance from the Sultanahmet Park. Restaurants, shops, bazaars, sightseeings just all around and a cute family of cats living by the hotel :) But what was the most fantastic was the staff - always smiling and really helpful, including with the tips of how to get here and there and ready to book trips for us. The only thing that should be accounted for is that traffic in that area is really crowded. We possibly would have missed our plane but that is where the staff again was really helpful - they took us personally to a better place to catch a taxi carrying our bags and keeping in touch with the taxi driver. We are very thankful for this and of all this experience and definitely suggest the hotel to the others!

Great location, with short walk, up hill,to Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia and a little further the tram stop. Lost of good restaurants right outside the hotel. People on reception very friendly and helpful. We had a room on a lower floor, that had an extra bed, so was spacious. We were offered, after unpacking, a room with a view of the Bosphorus, however it was much smaller,so we stayed put. Perfectly good hotel for the price, especially as you spe d most of the day out sightseeing or eating. Would stay here again

Nothing, this is for awareness. All the hotels in the area are narrow fronted, with many floors. This hotel does have a small lift, while others don't. The hotel offers airport transfers for Euro 45. But returning they called us a taxi for around Euro 35.

Our room had a balcony overlooking the Golden Horn - an unexpected treat! The location of the hotel is perfect for exploring old Istanbul - the Hagia Sophia and the Blue Mosque are virtually round the corner. The staff at the hotel are also extremely friendly and helpful. Breakfast was very good. Oh, and the overall prices was very reasonable too!

Nothing - it was all great! If we had any regrets, it would only be that we couldn't stay longer. Nothing to complain about at all.

The staff make this hotel a wonderful place to stay. Unlike other places we have stayed in Turkey they all spoke excellent English and went out of their way to make sure we were happy. We very much enjoyed the breakfast and slept well in the comfy clean beds.

Double rooms too small for us. Would recommend requesting twin bedded room.

The location of the hotel is very good, near the Blue Mosque and the tram (5 minutes walking). There are a lot of good restaurants nearby to go at night. It's also very easy to take a taxi as they are always stopped in the road in front of the hotel. The hotel itself is an old building. You should not expect huge and modern rooms. We took a family room (1 couple bed and 2 single beds). The beds are very confortable as well as the room itself. It has a mini fridge, AC, central heating, free wifi, a small LCD and carpets on the floor. Everything was really nice and super clean. The staff of the hotel are super friendly. Mr. Halit and remaining colleagues at the reception, the young gentlements that helped us with the luggage, the ladies that cleaned our room. All of them made our stay a wonderful experience and, for sure, we will come back to the same hotel next time we return to Istanbul. Summarizing: +++ staff +++ cleanness +++ location

The breakfast is suficient and has the minimum required but could have more variety. I think there are some space to improve here, despite we liked.
