The location was excellent. Close to the trams and points of interest. The gentleman who manages the place is so helpful and kind. Very accommodating and the lady who cooks, is kind too! Loved my view and located in the center. Lots to eat around and I loved the location.

There are no elevators, which I did not mind. The bathroom is very tiny and no shower. It’s all in one. The toilet leaked and so did another lady that I spoke to. The breakfast is very basic and I was expecting more. I would go back, only for the location. I was expecting more and so was disappointed. The next time around, I know what to expect.

I liked Everything about this hotel. The hotel was a perfect location. The room was basic but it had everything we needed. The staff that worked in this hotel was probably the best I have ever encountered going above and beyond and so kind constantly. They are a true asset to the hotel and really made the holiday. The view from the room was amazing and breakfast view was so lovely to, Anything i needed the staff always made sure they could meet the needs. If i came back to Istanbul I would definitely come back to this hotel. A special thank you to Sigdem who created such a wonderful surprise for my mum on her birthday!! 10 out of 10 stars nothing to fault!!

Pretty well everything. For starters the location could not be bettered, step over the road and they are there, all you want to see and visit is within a three minute walk. Now the staff, what a team, especially Cigdem who was a true angel on a number of occasions including helping me find my Uber driver when rushing to the airport, thank you so much Cigdem. Not forgetting the ladies who ensured breakfast was an event with so, so special service, thank you. So, the hotel isn't the latest in design, the shower was "novel" but loads of hot water when you needed it. If you're looking for value for money, with a perfect location supported by unbelievable staff, book it!

If you might struggle with your cases, then the lack of a lift might be inconvenient.

The breakfasts were fabulous, varied each day and looking straight across to the Blue Mosque from the breakfast terrace. Most of the sights are in walking distance such as, The Topkapi Palace, Hagia Sophia and The Underground Cisterns. You get off the tram from right outside the door of the hotel. You can either take the tram or walk to the Grand Bazzar, a terrific historic Hamam at Cemberlitas and the Whirling Devish performance. Plenty of restaurants close by. The staff here are very helpful with directing and suggesting activities sights and events. The desk is manned 24 hours a day and it’s very safe for single female travellers.

If you have a few days in Istanbul, stay here. It is right opposite a mosque and 3 minutes from the blue mosque and hagia Sofia and 5 minutes from the topkapi Palace. The sultanamet tram station is right outside, which means that you will not get lost walking or on the tram. This also means that it is noisy, calls to prrayer are beautiful, and in your bedroom. The tram is wonderful, but noisy. I would definitely recommend it, but maybe take ear plugs for the night. Good breakfast, wonderfully helpful and friendly staff with marvellous tips for what to do and how to get there

The room and bathroom are tiny which was understandable given the age and location of the building and the bed was not that great.

Perfect location - 2 minutes walk to the main sightseeings of Stambul; money exchange and a pharmacy just next to the hotel s well as multiple cafeterias and restaurants. Convenient location - less than a minute to thw tram Station SultanAhmet. Nice window view - the windows opens to the mosque and you can see the Hague Sofia mosque as well. Clear rooms. The personnel is very supportive: Assisted with the detailed explanation on how to reach any place we asked; Neshe was very scooperative and supportive with the transfer arrangements.

Nothing special

The hotel was slap-bang in the middle of the Sultanahmet tourist area. Just walk outside to go to the Hagia Sophia, Blue Mosque and boat tours. My room looked directly out to the mosque and the water. For a lower-priced hotel, this alone made it a great choice. The staff, especially Chidam, who spoke good English, were very helpful. She guided me through getting from the airport, booked a shuttle for me to get back to the airport, and walked me to the pick up location for the shuttle.

The room itself was very small with basically just enough space for the bed. Tiny bathroom with no separate shower cubicle. As a solo traveler, this wasn’t a big deal for me as the friendly staff and the great location offset this, and I stayed just one night.

Location location location. 20 metres from Saltanahmet Tram Station in the heart of the Old City. The roof top breakfast terrace having an excellent outlook over the Blue Mosque area, The Grand Bazaar one tram stop or 5 mins walk away and an abundance of shops and restaurants all around. Breakfast on the terrace was a highlight of my visit to Istanbul. The view was amazing and the breakfast was of a good standard. This was my last stop on a 3 week , 9 hotel journey around Turkey for a 72 year old solo male from Cape Town. It was my most expensive hotel and having the smallest and most minimal room. However, I acknowledge this to be expected for a major city centre hotel and consider it to be outweighed by the good points. My room was centrally situated on the 1st floor of the hotel and distant from the tram and street noise.

The front of the hotel is only 4 metres from the tram tracks and therefore a front room will have a street view but with tram and street noise.

I love the location and I got the room that I requested which is the window view of the Mosques (FIRUZ AGA and BLUE MOSQUE) and tram. The breakfast was also in the rooftop of this hotel which gives a very nice view. All the people in this hotel are very nice. Special mention to NESE and MAHMUT who are both very helpful, accommodating and made sure our stay in Istanbul is memorable. NESE made our first night in Istanbul so memorable and convenient! She suggested a BHOSPORUS DINNER CRUISE which is very nice and fun. MAHMUT despite that he can't speak English but he explained to us how to get the ISTANBUL Card which was very helpful to us in going around ISTANBUL. The hotel can arrange for Airport transfer - both pick up and going to the airport and is a must so you will have a hassle free in locating the hotel. Our hotel housekeeper is also very helpful and nice, even though she can not speak English but we were able to have a clean room that change towels every other day. I will definitely go back to this hotel!

The Breakfast but not a problem because there are a lot of restaurants nearby the hotel.

Underrated on bookings! There should be 9 or 10 score for this hotel. I have travelled the world but sultanahmet hotel will have a special place in my heart. Located litetally at the heart of old city sultanahmet, is walking distance from all tourists spots in the area. Rooms were clean, cosy and comfortable. Breakfast is also nice. As a female solo traveller i felt extremely safe and very comfortable. Highly recommend this for solo travellers! Nese and the rest of the staff are extremely friendly, helpful and professional. In short i felt at home in a place where i knew no one. I loved everything about it and i will surely be coming to stay here again!
