Beautifully decorated artsy room and hotel in general with very comfortable beds, a fabulous shower and a tasty freshly made breakfast with good coffee. The small balcony overlooks the street, but other rooms are on a quiet side street. There is plenty of room to store clothes and there were even a number of hangers in the wardrobe. There's a very comfortable armchair, great towels and toiletries are supplied. There are small tables with lights next to the bed. Location is excellent within a short walk from the major sites, excellent bars and restaurants and just steps from the T1 tram line. Staff are wonderful, eager to help and very friendly and most speak good English.

Lighting was on the dim side for my old eyes.

- lack of communication between the valets (The valets left our cars unlocked several times despite the instructions that we provided) - poor English skills of the valets - The cards for the rooms were not working properly and had to be replaced several times

Many great features - the wonderful artwork, the best liftride with a moving show of different kinds of art as the lift ascended or descended. The best balcony view (especially the Blue Mosque.) And a little chair inside sited to see Blue Mosque through small round window. Excellent breakfast tray. Just delightful, thank you. Powerful shower, very comfortable beds

Need for more thorough maintenance - loose door knob, I'll-fitting door, lift problem, ( this is important - safety needs high priority), no hot water one morning

Many thanks for the super pleasant service! All the staff welcomed us well and helped whenever needed. We even got a bigger and Ottoman-style room, which added more comfort. The room had everything you need. The location of the hotel is extremely good and all major attractions are right next to it, there is a tram stop 100m away. The bed was very comfortable. The breakfast was freshly prepared and varied and delicious. We will definitely recommend this hotel to others.

I have to say the staff at this hotel were amazing. Jerry the receptionist was exceptional and without him our stay would have been so different. On our arrival I left my phone in the airport taxi. Jerry immediately sprung into action and managed to locate it somehow within minutes, an amazing feat considering there are thousands of these taxis in Istanbul. Within 20 minutes the driver returned with my phone. In addition, Jerry and all the staff were so helpful with information, bookings and help in general. Friendly at all times, pleasant, professional they could not have been any better.We loved the hotel, our room and the breakfasts but above all the amazing staff, especially Jerry made our holiday so special. I have been traveling to Istanbul a lot recently/ both for business and pleasure. Every time that I have stayed in the old part of the city, I had issues - which have been hotel related - not the correct room, the hotel being dirty, missing amenities or the breakfast being ultra poor. Besides that since sometimes I travel by car, I had cases where my car would be damaged etc. - All of which made me think twice about traveling to the old part of the city. This time, I had to go due to some personal engagements and my partner suggested to book at Hypnos Design Hotel, which, of course, due to my previous experience I was skeptical at first. Fast Forward to the arrival - since I had to drive to Istanbul (14 hours of driving) it was of the utmost importance for me to have a cozy room, something which I was amazed by! From the first moment we arrived at the hotel, the staff greeted us with a family like smile and attention, they parked our car in front of the hotel, helped us with the luggage and gave us drinks. - All of which was a pleasant suprise! The room was ultra nice, where each room had a different theme and that makes it appealing to come back and see all the rooms :D Furthermore - The hotel was ultra ultra clean and the breakfast was the best I have tasted in the old part of Istanbul! As a summary for this trip, I would like to thank each hotel staff for their warm welcome and for making my stay enjoyable as I was home! Most definitely I will return and try the other rooms :D P.s. The hotel owner had a shelf of jewelry which were designed by her, make sure to check them out and purchase some, they are ultra nice and unique!

Little gem of a hotel. Nice room (66) over looking a busy side street. Very good sound proofing from the balcony doors. Room cleaned and Towels changed everyday. All the staff were lovely, nothing was too much trouble. Always greeted you with a smile. Jerry was especially helpful when it came to any questions we had, along with helping us choose and book a tour. The tram is a two minute walk. There are restaurants, shops and the Egyptian spice bazaar is close by. Nice breakfast which was predominantly bread, jam's, and fruit most days along with an omelette and then different sides each day.

Excellent location. Small & personable, like coming home, rather than into a hotel. There is no request that Jerry (manager, concuerge, Istanbul ambassador & bloke with a top hair cut!) can not or will not fulfill. This bustling city was all too easy with his help & the hotel's location. Room with a balcony! A must to hear the city coming to life in the morning. Breakfast also great. And Hypnos is situated next door to one of the best, creative, well prriced & as-yet undiscovered rooftop restaurants of Sultanahmet.

Beds were a little soft, if I had to find fault.

The hotel is very nice and the room is very clean and beautifully designed. The staff is very friendly and comes to your help if you need something. If you come here you just have to walk a few minutes to the important objective and the free parking is also a bonus. The best choice for your stay in Instanbul. I highly recommend it.

Upon arrival, we were greeted by the friendly approach and smile of the hotel staff. During our 5-day stay, we had a wonderful experience, the hotel rooms were extremely clean, the cleaning lady cleaned the room and changed the towels every day, we had a delicious and rich breakfast prepared for us by the friendly staff of the hotel. The hotel also has its own parking lot, so that was very useful for us since we were traveling by car. A special advantage of the hotel is that it is in a good location, so that within a 10-15 minutes easy walk you can reach Hagia Sophia, Sultanahmet Blue Mosque, Gulhane Park, Misir Bazaar, Fatih Market, Suleimaniye Mosque and other cultural sights. I highly recommend this hotel.
