This hotel made my Ramadan experience much better in Istanbul. May Allah be pleased with you! + New hotel + Staff is very welcoming. 24/7. They stand up every time you open the door of the hotel no matter if it is 5 am or 11pm, showing respect for the customers. They don't smoke, they don't sit in their phone, they don't spend their time talking on the phone. They are just there to help you, which is very professional. You don't see this often in Istanbul hotels. + Location, you can easily reach the morning prayer at Aya Sofya in 5-6 minutes, and Enjoy Sultanahmet square after the prayer while other tourist are sleeping. + Some people claim the room is small. Indeed it is, but it is so well organized, you don't feel it. There is everything you need. And enough space. Just store your bags under the bed. + I expected the bathroom to be small, but it was very spacy. + Quiet. The street is very quiet (because it is a dead-end street). + Water, tea kettle, tea, coffee - all available. + Air conditioning, refregirator is new. If you travel often you know how loud refregrators in the hotels can be, this is not the case, we didn't hear a sound from it. + Very good sleep. Even only after 3 hours of sleep I felt myself refreshed and ready for the next day. + Cats near the hotel. Who doesn't love them?

- Not related to the hotel: Most cafes and restaurants nearby on Akbiyik street are run by very annoying people, don't eat there. Prices are X2 higher and the atmospehere is not so good, with alcohol and shisha served even during the daytime in Ramadan. There are much better places to eat in other areas. - There are still some refurbishing works in the hotel (probably on the upper floors, since hotel is still under some development, as I understood), and we could hear sounds between 3 pm to 6 pm, which were disturbing. Depending on your plans, and depending whether you sleep during the daytime, this can be not the good option for you. However with the earplugs I could sleep without much problems (although I am a very sensitive sleeper).

The room is perfect for a couple, super clean, comfortable and located in a quiet neighborhood. The location is also perfect; Hagia Sophia, the Blue Mosque and the Basilica Cistern are within walking distance. The 24/7 reception is also great. Every single receptionist was very attentive and super friendly. We had free bottled water every day of our stay. I would also recommend booking the paid airport shuttle offered by the hotel, it was very easy, reliable and no extra costs or fees. I would highly recommend it!

Soundproofing from the common areas is not very good, we could clearly hear people talking and walking from the stairs/hall/elevator. Also (not related to the hotel) do not use Booking.com to book a taxi, use the hotel's airport shuttle instead! I made the mistake of using Booking.com to book a taxi to pick us up from the airport and when we arrived, the taxi driver charged us 100 TRY for a "faster" route to the hotel.

no breakfast available in the hotel. Thats Ok. location is very good. Mosque and other attractions are very near , walkable. the staff on check-in day was helpful .

there was a problem i faced. I communicated on the check-in day to the staff , to arrange an airport taxi and he happily agreed and fares were also discussed and fixed. But on the checkout day, everything changed, airport transfer was arranged but on a luxury car and for for double the rate we discussed previous day. We had no time to argue.it was a communication mistake between the reception staffs.

The most friendly, welcoming, and helpful staff at the front desk. They are great at introducing you to the city, the key sights and places to visit, how to avoid scams, and helping book tours/experiences such as the Bhosphurus Cruise. The location is in the Old City next to the major attractions such as Hagia Sophia and Topkapi Palace and Sultanahmet Square which also has a public transport link. As it is a new hotel, the rooms and bathroom are super clean. There are several food and grocery options nearby. Special thanks to Fatih and Abdullah who are very very kind and fun to talk to! Cannot say enough about the staff and how great they are. Recommend this place highly!

Really well kept hotel which was made even better by the great staff. We had the compact but very clean bunk bed room. It worked fine for us as we spent so much time sightseeing we were hardly there. All the staff on reception were friendly and helpful. They were able to make useful suggestions to us about when to visit sites so we had the best experience. They organised our airport transfer & helped navigate the local transport system when we needed to get to Söğütlüçeşme station. Would highly recommend this hotel it’s 5 mins walk from Aya Sofia, Blue Mosque & Topaki Palace.

For me, location, cleanliness, & price are what i look for in a hotel. Amazing value to be found here! The Lynda is in the perfect location to the Hagia Sophia, Blue Mosque, Palace, The Bazaar, Basilica Cistern etc. So glad i stayed here for my first four nights in Istanbul as the major Sultanahmet tourist sites were all within 7 - 20 mins walking distance so made it easy to wander around. The hotel is also surrounded by lots of cafes/restaurants/shops in a very safe area. Lovely, hospitable hosts on reception. The rooms were well appointed, very clean & felt new. Appreciated the lovely comfortable beds & sheets. Having Netflix on the TV was a welcome bonus. Thank you very much.

Couldn't fault it

I need to be honest that I had my reservations when booking the room at Lynda hotel, due to some negative review that I read, but the moment I entered the hotel and the room all my expectations were exceeded. The location is top: in the historic area, very close to main attractions on this side of the city, very close to the park, and walking distance ( around 25 min) from Eminonu (ferry terminal). Breakfast is optional, nice view on the rooftop, I would say good enough for the price The room is indeed not very large, but you have the space to move around, put your luggage. You have water and tea in the room. It was very clean, cleaning was done every day. Was very nice to chat with the staff, if you are interested in finding out some details about Turkey situation. Also, they helped us with a reservation at a Turkish traditional Hammam and they are available if you have any questions.

The insulation is indeed a problem, however I did not had any problem sleeping (and I am light sleeper).

We loved that it was located nearby Hagia Sophia within walking distance, the staff was very kind, most of all, the second one, he helped us with places to visit, was very kind to our parents, even though they knew no english, gave them free water. Beside the fact that the rooms are small, they are very comfortable and clean. By the way, we loved the pillows, so so comfortable! Cons: first day they forgot to use give us toilet paper, we have to ask. Also, they don’t have mosquito net to the windows. The AC works perfectly. Basically, it’s everything you need. Clean, comfy, niceness and close to attractions. Recommend.

Hotel is in a quiet area of Sultanahmet district. Everything is at the doorstep, such as the mini market and places to eat. Very close to the coast and also Topkapı Palace/ Hagia Sophia/ Blue Mosque, depending on which side you decide to venture out to. I had arrived at night and was welcomed by Sinaa, he was knowledgeable and spoke very well English. He explained to me about the transport system, which I found very helpful. After a long day out, it was always nice to be welcomed by friendly faces at Lynda Hotel. I had a very comfortable stay, and housekeeping kept the room clean and tea area / toiletries / water bottles replenished. Hotel has a lift, which is a plus. Room had an AC system. No issues with Wifi. While in Istanbul I used the public transit system and BiTaksi for long distance travel including return journey to the airport. I had no trouble.

I arranged airport pickup with the hotel for ease. I found it to be pricey and inconvenient. I waited a long time for the driver to be located, he was not waiting for me at the place advised. I got in touch with Sinaa at the reception through WhatsApp and sent him a picture of where I was so they could come find me..Sinaa was responsive and very helpful. Thank you. There is an abundance of yellow taxis at the airport , everyone uses Google maps there, so there should be no trouble getting from A to B. Breakfast was not served at the hotel , they recommended me a sister hotel which I did not try out. Bring your own travel iron along. It would have been nice to have somewhere raised to put my luggage on so it was more accessible.

Excellent stay at Lynda Hotel. The staff are incredibly accommodating and provided fantastic information about the city, including additional ideas about things to see. It wasn't just the hits they recommended but provided us with local knowledge, hidden spots; something you can only get from locals. The room was clean and had everything you need for a trip. Excellent use of space, great air conditioning and fantastic shower room. Honestly couldn't have stayed at a better location for our 4 days in Istanbul. Easy to walk or access public transport. Would happily stay again.
