The property was well located, shuttle service efficient and convenient, staff were helpful and friendly, rooms were very clean and well maintained. The staff at the inhouse restaurant were great. Very helpful and friendly. Breakfast selection was very good with a wide spread and with slight changes daily. Special mention of Sugi san, the F&B Supervisor, must be made. He was very accomodating, switched an appetiser without question for one of us due to a diet restriction and was friendly to my 3 year old grandson.

My room, a twin with river view and view bath was quite small but its storage features were very efficient and being able to connect rooms was great

New hotel in Karuizawa. I really like about their interior and surrounding. It's totally match with the concept of nature and peace. All staffs can communicate pretty well in English. No communication problem at all. I like their hospitality They will introduce all the areas and guide us to the room. 5 Star hotel 5 star services. Free Shuttle bus between the station and hotel. Room is super nice. Rooms come with balcony can enjoy magnificent view. Surprisingly their bar counter have tons of alcohols. More than 8 types i guess. Pretty amazing. Definitely will come back again!

Not too convenient to explore the places nearly. We need to walk about 10mins to the nearest Lawson. Other than that everything is perfect.

Breakfast has various type of food from Japanese to Western made from fresh local raw materials and high quality. I like the Hashbrown which is a bite size, good quality of ham and cheese. Also had dinner at the restaurant which is very good taste and classy. Interior is very nice and very new facility with breezy air and jungle around. We could enjoy the staying for 2 nights and already recommend to friends who plan to visit there.

The smoke from burner at lobby might not be appreciated by some people. My friend could not sit in the lobby and has some irritation. I myself like it and think in the winter should be very cozy.

The hotel was super clean, and the breakfast was one of the best I've had. They had a variety of good-quality ingredients, and I liked that they had both Western and Japanese dishes. They have onsen, but I didn't get a chance to use it, and they also had a spa, but it was fully booked. The location is close to the station, about 5 mins by car. I didn't see many things within walking distance, but we did go to the tonkatu place across the street for dinner, and it was very good. The room was very clean, and the bathroom was spacious. We had a room with a river view and a little balcony, which was nice. The king-size bed was also very comfortable.

I wish the Gym had a little more equipment, but since the space was limited, they probably couldn't put many things in there.

Beautiful place. The moment you arrive at the hotel you feel a blanket of peace and tranquility coming over you. The staff provided amazing service and speaks well English to explain the necessary items + how to use the onsen. The room is spacious, clean, and has a beautiful view on the small river. Beautiful bathroom as well and the bed sleeps amazing! The highlight was the onsen, our first time to do this and we couldn’t pick a better location for this! The breakfast was world class!

There is a bar next to the reception that serves specialty cocktails. Unfortunately it only operates on Friday, Saturday and Sunday and we were only at the hotel from Tuesday to Wednesday. It is a small pity we missed the chance to have a nice drink at the hotel.

Truly an amazing gem in Karuizawa, I visited this town just for the hotel and was not disappointed. The staff are all very attentive and helpful, the facilities are clean and beautiful, my standard room was bigger than my apartment and the bed and pillows super comfy. The breakfast here is out of this world, the best I’ve ever had, and the spa is also amazing, with an indoor pool, outdoor pool and cold tub and sauna as well. I was able to thoroughly relax and enjoy some down time away from the city, I will definitely come again some time!

breakfast was great, plenty choices of homemade pastries, healthy and fresh local grown produces, the room is spacious, large bathtub as well, there's also a public bath you can enjoy. the gym was good enough for you to workout.

our room is 1 floor lower than ground level, and there's a balcony in room, however, the balcony is facing the tree without leaves, that makes the view doesn't appealing. that we didn't enjoy much about the balcony.

Onzen facility is great . hotel service is excellent in general. I am so impress that hotel sent shuttle bus to pick my whole family up from outlets . We couldn’t find taxi and it is so cold that shuttle bus with kind driver rescue us :)

I am trying to book Italian restaurant in the hotel twice and your staff said it is fully booked . But I saw few empty tables with no customers . so I don’t understand why your staff didn’t try hard enough to get me the table . Another incident during my breakfast time , I try to move my table that has more shade since my table expose to heavy sun, but the lady in front - host came and complain at me that I have no right to move my table. So I wait 10-15 mins she stuck didn’t assign someone to help me move table. so I have to move the table and move all the food myself. quite disappointing with that host lady. I consider she is quite rude to me .

Everything was excellent - from the staff to the room to the facilities and the food. Unfortunately I only booked us for a night, next time we will stay at least 2 nights! There are options around the area for food and activities, with a little bit of walking. Activities such as glass making workshop. Food - convenience store opposite the hotel and a few restaurants (BBQ, cafe, etc) down the road.

The hotel provided an introduction to tatarmi culture sleeping arrangements for my family. Staff were helpful explaining how the daily room set up routine works. The beds on the floor were very comfortable. The snow in March was amazing and it was lovely to have a balcony with a view. We hired crampons and walking poles from reception which was a good investment as it was icey coming down from seeing the amazing snow monkeys.
