View from our room was very good. Dolphin pond was pretty exceptional and fun to look at. Beach proximity to room, pool, and beachfront bar was top notch. The Beach attendant getting us set up in lawn chairs on beach, then installing towel cover, table, etc. Very nice.

Toilet space was a liitle tight. Puzzling design.

Exceptional customer service, beautiful beach location, quiet and peaceful. Cultural activities that preserved the Hawaiian heritage were thoughtful, inspiring and informative. We especially enjoyed making leis during Lei Day and taking Hula classes-both complimentary! The property was immaculate and decor well designed. Staff was attentive, friendly and helpful. A world away from touristy Waikiki but close enough to explore it.

Food at the restaurants was mediocre and inconsistent for the most part. Some furniture was a little outdated. We ate at the Plumeria House for breakfast on Sunday the food and service was great. We dined again on Wednesday and the food was mediocre and the server rude. We were overcharged for parking so get a copy of the bill for accuracy and peace of mind instead of having it emailed.

The rooms were great, the beach was exceptional, and most of all, the people were AMAZING. We especially loved the old timers. They were all retired maybe and this was their second career? What ever it was, it was so sweet to be taken care of grandpa and granny. Also the spa staff were so skilled and I have been to many many many spas throughout the world. But they were experienced and knowledgeable and not pushy. I liked that the gratuity was included so that I didn't have to worry about it afterward. The receptionist at the spa could have been a little sweeter.

The receptionist at the spa could have been better. But maybe she stood out because everyone from the bellmen to the front desk were exceptionally nice.

The property is secluded from the Waikiki. so that's a huge plus. it has its acess to the nice seculeded public beach. so much less hustle bustle compared to Waikiki.

The beach is great for kids and calm waters. If you are looking for waves then this is not the beach for you. We liked everything about the property.

I loved the beach front and the pontoon to swim to - lovely swimming spot. Lovely pool side staff. The musician in the evenings was a definite plus and set the ambience just right for pre dinner or dinner. He was very good. Was it Johnny Valentine?

I think a map of the hotel with all the access points to the garden and beach front would be useful. Not a fan of heated toilet seats in summer. When I arrived all the valets were busy or they ignored me when I stepped out of my cab as I only had 2 carry on luggage and a yoga mat. It would be polite to greet all guests upon arrival and I had to find my way to reception- not so straight forward.

We spent four nights in early December. We upgraded our room to an ocean view, top floor, overlooking the dolphin pools. Worth every $ !! The staff was super friendly and attentive to our needs. We appreciated the quiet and relaxed atmosphere, the beautiful beach, and the food. Would definitely stay here again!

The property does need renovation (as others have commented). We liked the bigger rooms and antiquated furniture, but still, the carpets need to be replaced as does some of the furniture. Also to note that this place is the opposite of Waikiki. If you want an active social scene and nightlife you should go elsewhere. If you want to relax, come here!

Resort was beautiful! Location was a dream, beautiful pool area and beach. I couldn't have wished for something better! Loved the dolphins and the breakfast buffet was incredible.

The resort double charged me which caused some aggravation. I also requested flowers and balloons for my daughter's birthday and it wasn't a super smooth experience. Everything was fixed and the flowers were delivered, but it was a bit stressful the day of arrival.

This is a lovely vintage property with great upkeep and probably recent remodeling.

Did not feel the food in the restaurants was as stellar as the property itself…. I would still recommend it however…the food was the only thing that wasn’t perfect…

Happy memories …..

We didn’t get a lanai with our oceanfront room , which is what we requested. Also there should be a separate pool for the children - too many pools for the dolphins and not enough for one adults only pool!
