Stayed in this hotel previously, and would come again. The rooms and communal areas are very clean. Beds are comfortable. Basic facilities but fine for a short stay. Free parking was available in front of the old college building, just a short walk away. Hotel is in a good location just off the sea front and close to town.

Spotless and very spacious, very comfortable beds. You are a 1 minute walk from the sea front. TV was huge and the staff were so friendly - just being so cheerful and helping hold the door to help us take a night outside etc.

I had forgotten to ask about the parking situation but we arrived Saturday at 2pm and you get 4 free hours on the sea front so parked there. Then I realised after 4 hours it would be 6pm when parking would become free until Monday morning as you don’t need to pay Sunday. It worked out perfectly but not sure where I would have gone otherwise, probably have to pay a few Linda in a nearby one and walk to the hotel.

Some of the reviews I read said to ignore the dodgy-looking lobby because the rooms are great, and I'm glad I followed that advice, as this was my experience. The lobby looks like a grubby hostel at best, but the room was bright, spotless, and comfortable. The location, steps from the promenade, is amazing, and I found lots of good food options and shops within easy walking distance. Parking nearby was no trouble either. I found free street parking less than two blocks away along the waterfront.

The lobby is a bit off-putting, and not having any visible staff around was a little strange, but it worked out fine.

The staff were very friendly. The hotel was lovely. Right next to the beach. had a really pleasant two nights, The bed was very comfortable, Couldn't hear any other fellow residents which is nice, The staff at if they see me on the beach they comes and say hello to you, Everything is SO close to the hotel. The pier the town centre shops, And all the people the local people are very very lovely, The night I stopped it was student nights. So that was fancy dress, they all seem to dressed up, It's got a very good vibe in Aberystwyth with all the students., And the hotel?Well, it was more than I expected. It was lovely and I would stop there again.

The location of the property is absolutely brilliant, we’re very impressed with the value for what we paid. The hotel & rooms are spotless with the room being a really decent size. Checking in is very straight forward.

Unfortunately, the walls are incredibly thin. We were woken up early hours by a group of people staying below us who have been singing, shouting and shrieking all night after being asked to quiet down from other people staying in the hotel. Because of the volume and the activity of the people staying below us our beds were actually rocking and the floor was vibrating. We are actually leaving Aberystwyth early because of this, which is a shame as the town is gorgeous and prior to this we’ve had a lovely time. This is NOT the fault of the hotel at all but I would recommend bringing earplugs or something to cancel out the noise if you are staying here.

This was our second time staying at The Pier Hotel and we enjoyed it just as much as the last time. The location is brilliant for a morning walk along the seafront (I highly recommend the coffee at P.D.'s Diner) and there is a cheap public carpark by the castle, just less than 5-minutes walk away,

It's hard to think of any negatives - we did have a dog in an adjoining room barking through the night but this can't be helped. There were warnings about the street noise level but we did not find this an issue at all. There is no lift to the room, but again, this is clearly stated when booking.

Spacious room, clean and tidy. Really good location where you can get to everything in a reasonable walk. Also came with a mini fridge. You're texted your details and you let yourself in, feels autonomous and easy. The staff were super friendly :)

Couldn't get locks to work, maybe the locks work differently in Wales idk. I figured it out after i'd finished my stay, you pull the latch up on the left side then twist the handle to lock it shut. Made me a lil bit anxious staying in my room with an unlocked front door, though it's a quiet town. Not a major fault of the hotel, just me, make sure you know how to lock a door x)

Room was basic but also very clean and comfortable the staff were friendly and polite. Communication about the entrance code arrived as promised on the morning of our stay. The hotel is close to all the amenities pubs restaurant the town centre and the beach of which due to awful weather we were glad of simply popping next door to the lovely Turkish restaurant and over the road to the Bar on the pier..all in all the Pier hotel was a great base.

Sadly as mentioned by others the take away opposite was a little noisy despite the two sets of curtains sadly this is nothing to do with the Pier hotel and there is also nothing they can do about it but it did affect our stay a little.

It was lovely and clean, I felt safe, and the staff member I ran into was really nice. A great spacious room - I was actually just a solo traveler bit this would’ve worked great for multiple people too.

My only issue was that at night it could be a little noisy, due to proximity to the Pier (which hosts a nightclub) and opposite a chicken shop. I appreciate the efforts to conceal the noise (an extra layer of glazing added to the window, plus two sets of heavy curtains on each) and these did a lot to conceal the noise! However I did have to purchase earplugs. It could be a nice touch to include them at the property for optional use? I managed to sleep there comfortably but I did just want to flag.

Didn't actually meet the owner to check in, however check in process was very straightforward. Received a text with the key code for the main entrance, key was in my room. Also location was good, only a few metres from the seafront. Despite warnings in room that there may be street noise had a very quiet night, although owner did mention the next day that students had not yet returned for new term. Room I had, (which looked out on the street), had inner and outer windows, plus two sets of curtains to mitigate noise. Room was clean and bed was comfortable.

Only slight negative is that there is no parking at the hotel so had to park at St Michaels Church car park, although it is only a short walk to the hotel.
