I am absolutely delighted to have stayed at The Crown, a historic inn nestled in a quaint village. The food was superb, with a commendable selection of beers, and the staff were incredibly friendly and engaging. The rooms were spacious, well-equipped, and warmly inviting. I truly had the opportunity to unwind in such a traditional pub atmosphere. This establishment is certainly worth a visit not only for its rich history but also for its outstanding food, drink, and accommodation. Check in and check out was simple, the whole experience was exactly what I was looking for! Thanks for the Birthday wishes too.

Staff, the food, the beautiful decor of our twin room (named “Lipton”). We paid extra to have dinner and that was wonderful too.

My Mum has a knee replacement. She can manage stairs but the step up into the shower was a little too high for her to manage. I’m sure if I’d spoke to staff they would’ve had a solution but my Mum didn’t want to make a fuss. Most people would easily manage getting in the shower but installing a grab rail maybe a good idea for those who are less confident trying

Lovely village pub, nice welcome when I checked in after stepping off my hike of the Ridgeway Path a few weeks ago. Super-friendly staff. Lovely clean room with all facilities. Nice bar to spend time in with a real history - D Day, Band of Brothers, and Dr Who. Decent dinner and great breakfast.

They seemed to forget me for quite a while when I seated myself for my dinner. I get it these days. 64 year old geezer, silver head, sitting in the corner. Nice pizza though.

3rd stay in the last month. Loved it again. Packed with locals on a Sunday evening which was lovely to see. As usual, staff - and locals - very friendly. Had an evening meal this time - food is relatively basic compared to 'foodie' pubs ( fish & chips/burgers/pizzas etc) but really good quality, good portion size and not expensive. Well worth it!

Trouble with shower again ( may be it's just me??).

The pub totally ‘fit the bill’ of what we wanted for our last night in England. Quaint, historical building with loads of character, welcoming staff and great pub dinner. Breakfast was included & very good - just the right amount & just what we were after - traditional full English! The village of Aldbourne is beautifully maintained and picturesque. Totally worth the stay.

Under new management! Great selection of ales and great breakfast. Simon, Fred and the staff were very friendly and accommodating when it came to any requests I had.

Can be noisy at times, but hey, it's a pub too! :-) Please consider expanding the menu to included some vegetarian options, and please bring back the pulled pork burgers!

Wonderful old pub. Very friendly staff ( and locals!). Excellent real ales. Room was clean and homely, comfortable bed - slept really well. Breakfast limited but not an issue for me - cooked breakfast was very good. Fully intend to stay again, with enough time to explore the village and hopefully enjoy an evening meal. Very pleased to have found it.

A beautiful old English pub in the centre of the historic village. Amber and the young team of staff were exceptionally friendly and efficient. I must mention the chef Lewis who went above and beyond to make sure he adapted the already varied menu to accommodate my medical food/eating issues. Enjoyable few days stay

Lovely little village. Met with friends for our annual gathering. Had an evening meal . Plenty of choice and reasonably priced. Good produce used particularly evident at breakfast. Landlord was very friendly. We had a very enjoyable stay.

The carpets leading to the rooms were grubby. Having said that, there were rolls of carpet in the hallway so assume they were refurbishing.

The location, the village, the room, and the evening meal were all excellent. I would highly recommend this place. it's a great base to explore the area from.

The full English breakfast was not pleasant. I did try on two occasions, but it's not good. I think every item of food had been microwaved.
