The White Hart Inn’s location for me was superb for me as we were needing to be close to South Cerney and the M4. The accommodation is separate to the pub so was quiet - even when they have a function. The gardens are well maintained and the birdsong was lovely to hear. The rooms were clean and comfortable and the housekeeping staff friendly and accommodating to supply extra milk etc and as my daughter was unwell for a couple of days, they were happy to resupply us as needed. A home away from home. I would have to say that all the staff were lovely and helpful. The quality of the food was superb - I don’t think I have had better long tailed scampi anywhere else - and the vegetables were so fresh. The breakfast menu is good with individual orders taken and cooked fresh when you arrive in the dining room. We were able to eat in the room in the evenings if we wanted and this was a blessing with my daughter being unwell. We were there for a week and were able to sample the Sunday Carvery, which was delicious. We will be back for the carvery in the near future once we have moved back to the village to live permanently. They have separate parking for the Inn guests which was great to have so no fear of any disturbance of property when the pub is busy. The bar itself is intriguing - a bit of a maze which leaves diners in alcoves and feeling more private to enjoy their food, drinks and conversations. very well thought out.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with the place. It is like a fancy Motel. It is ideally situated from a travel point of view, but there is nothing in the immediate vicinity to speak of. It is right next to and part of a big Restaurant and Bar which is of high quality with excellent service, really good.

Nothing to do in the vicinity if you are stranded there or you feel ill like I did. It is a bit like a Motel, but a great one at that. There are shopping centres close by, but just too far to call it Walking Distance. Most of the pictures you see of the place are of the Restaurant, not the accommodation which is a couple of strides removed from the romantic old restaurant building.

The rooms were large and modern with a walk in shower in the bathroom.

On the other side of the trees outside our room is a main road which was quite noisy with traffic and I requested a quiet room, so presume they couldn’t offer this. Thank goodness it was a Sunday as I dread to think what it would have been like on a weekday. Although the bathroom was modern, there was no additional towel rail next to the sink, yet plenty of space to put one. Instead we had to leave hand towels on the other side of the bathroom on the radiator. Also there was no toilet brush. I would have expected this to be standard in a bathroom.

Ace for a one night stopover for a friends birthday party. Clean, comfy, spacious room (King) and the staff were really lovely and friendly. Hotel rooms are separate from the pub, and they're nice and quiet. It's close enough to Swindon for taxis, etc. Breakfast was great, with good quality produce on the cooked. You do need to book a time for a table for breakfast and select your choice from the menu the night before. However, in the morning, there was a couple who had missed their booked table, but the staff were lovely and fine with them sitting down late. Good little stay, and good value for money.

Check in was straight forward, friendly staff, who were very I formative. The room was simple,a nice size , comfortable and clean. Pre order breakfast which was fine and very nice. We stayed there as it was near where my husband needed to be. I got a taxi to the designer shopping outlet which was £12. I could have got a bus but it was 2 bus rides, so I chose the easiest.

I stayed in the room until check out and was interrupted twice by the cleaners ,presumably trying to get in the rooms to clean for the next customer.

Great that you book your breakfast before receiving it. Very prompt, hot and good selection. One point, I would have expected to see more cereals selection, but this is a minor point. The room was lovely and warm

This is not a complaint, but checkout was 11.00am, when we came back to the room, it had been cleaned ready for the next person, the cleaner was still in the room and was surprised to see us. I would suggest that the room does not get cleaned until the guests have checked out. We stayed in room 1 which is obviously for guests wha have disabilities and in my opinion the sink is too close to the toilet. However, this is not a complaint, merely my thoughts. The room was superb.

Comfortable room, and great breakfast.

Pillows are small and uncomfortable One of the evening waitresses was particularly sullen throughout the evening, clearly hating her job and didn’t bother to cover it up. When asking for coffee after supper at 21.25, we were told the machine had been cleaned so coffee was no longer available. Having relented this stance, we asked for a flat white and we’re told “we don’t do those”. Rather than offer alternatives she just stared at us until we asked what she could offer. Really poor customer service from this individual who needs retraining. All other staff are attentive and very helpful.

The pub food is excellent. Great menu, great service. Breakfast - your Eggs Royal are fantastic 👌

My room this time was #1 which is built for disabled access; although absolutely fine, the other rooms do have much nicer bathroom / showers. For example, (and probably a legislation / guidance thing) the shower temeparture was limited & not hot enough for me. And, the shower curtain needs to be changed, its pretty mouldy in the bottom seams.

I would definitely recommend staying at the White Hart Lucy and her team couldn’t do enough. We had evening meal drinks and breakfast which was amazing. All the staff were friendly and happy which goes a long way for me. The room was cleaned every morning we stayed for 3 nights. The room was perfect for us. The parking is more than enough security was good. We will be staying again when we visit our friends again.

Absolutely nothing

Accomodation other than above was good and food served at pub was very good. Good location and serving staff very friendly

We had a faulty flush on the bathroom toilet - did report it after 1st night of 3 but very little notice taken - said they had reported it and a plumber couldn't get there until the weekend ( 2 days after we were leaving. I have Crohn's and felt very uncomfortable with the faulty flush and asked for another room but they said they were full. I' feel a plumber should have been available more readily but I felt that the lady in charge thought I was making a fuss and she said she could flush it !! My husband and I beg to differ. I wonder how seriously complaints are taken when a lot if stays are just one night
