All staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel was ideally located and had plenty of parking.
There were highly visible signs that indicated the terrace closed at 11pm. However, on our 2nd night, there were a group of 4 who stayed on the terrace until 1.30 to 2am who were very loud and had no respect for other residents.

Friendly welcome from helpful staff. Stayed in ground floor Bailey Room in new part at back of main hotel which was compact and clean. Bed was extremely comfortable. Lovely breakfast with good selection of continental and cooked food. Free parking and fabulous location. Beautiful old hotel with a very pretty courtyard.
The room was rather small with no space to put cases. There was rather a large chest of drawers which took up space. If this was smaller there would have been space for a luggage rack. No mattress cover on the bed which really should be addressed.

The hotel is such a beautiful old building in a historic location. The staff were amazing. Breakfast was great, too. Sara from the reception and Estaban from the breakfast service were very professional and accommodating. Thank you very much for looking after us during our stay. We left the hotel with a smile on our faces. Rooms have AirCon, beds were big and comfy. The shower pressure was great.
I can't find much about negative things. The A/C in our room stopped working, but immediately we were given a very nice room. The only other thing I can add is that I asked for a packed lunch sandwich instead of breakfast as I was leaving early for an excursion, and the overnight receptionist didn't know anything about it. To be fair, this was not their regular procedure. I get myself a sandwich later on from a petrol station. No problem at all.

Lovely setting and great location in the village - carpark right outside and dog friendly. Cozy seating area by the fire in the reception area. Good breakfast options and very friendly and helpful staff.
When we arrived, it was really cold, and we were a bit disappointed to find that our room was just as cold. We turned on the heating, but it was not working properly. The hotel tried to fix it but was not able to—it was only for one night, and we had some heating in the room, which was sufficient for one night. The hotel manager was great and arranged for a partial refund without us asking for it.

Centrally situated in Old Amersham, which is picturesque and full of independent shops and quality eating places. The hotel is a fascinating old building, with wooden floors and dark beams. The bedrooms were spacious and the beds were very comfortable. Great shower too. We ate in Hawkyns restaurant in the evening and the food was delicious! We visited Cliveden and Hughenden Manor during our stay, both of which are only a short drive from The Crown.
Stronger lighting needed in bathroom for putting on make up. The bedroom walls are very thin and I could hear my neighbours conversation even though they were just talking, not shouting. Maybe provide ear plugs?

I thought the reception staff were so welcoming and friendly - five star welcome honestly! The room was super clean and well prepared, love the bathroom and the toiletries. For the price I think this is a top stay
It's a little thing but as a female in the room alone I probably wouldn't chose the ground floor Bailey rooms again, esp. with only a single lock on my door and two windows on the ground. That's true of any hotel I guess! Would have been nice to have a slightly thicker duvet, the rooms come up cold which I LOVE - not boiling like many others - but the duvet was a little thin for winter. Honestly little things and given the price paid it was superb value for money overall.

The shower was super powerful. Nice decor. The little town was lovely. Breakfast was very yummy. Great free parking with plenty of space. Bed was comfy.
Sadly even though the shower was powerful it was a little hard to get the temperature right. was a little cold for me. and was a little hard to turn. Because its an older building and there are wooden floors you could hear everyone walking around. Our room was right next to the outdoor seating area for the pub. Wasn't too loud but we did get noise and i had a child who needed an early night. lighting in the room was soft and was a little dark. When i went for breakfast it was nice, staff didn't chat much and seemed really busy. my cup sadly was dirty and the other one had lipstick mark on it BUT they changed it when i mentioned so was fine.

Great olde world period coaching inn. Had a lovely ambiance and feel to it, exposed timber beams and uneven wooden floors. Bedroom was cosy and warm and the bed very comfortable. Excellent breakfast and very friendly staff. Perfect for what I needed and was well above expectation for the price.
The only thing I didn't like was the traffic noise as my room was immediately above the roundabout in the High Street. Having said that, Amersham wasn't particularly busy that Sunday night so it wasn't too much of an issue.

Sarah on reception was really friendly and helpful. Phoning for taxi and very knowledgeable on the local area. Gent on late desk also helpful. Breakfast had a great variety. The full English looked really tasty I had the continental. All staff were so friendly. Rooms large and even though road side there was no traffic noise. The shower was large and powerful with plenty of heat. We picked the location for the accessibility to the Metropolitan line and Wembley and will certainly use this option again. Thank you to all for a great stay. From Mel and Carl.

I was brought up in Amersham in the 70s, 80s & 90s, so returning to the town where I grew up felt special. I have visited the Crown on many occasions as a younger man but never actually stayed. It felt like a treat being at the Crown and the staff were lovely, helpful and welcoming. The breakfast was very good too.
The only thing we didn't like was an overpowering smell of bleach in our room. My wife noticed this more than I did. Staff were quick to remedy the problem and we were moved without fuss.
