I had an exceptional stay at Abbey Lodge! The staff were incredibly friendly and went out of their way to make us feel welcome. The entire place was spotless, reflecting high standards of hygiene, which made us feel truly comfortable. The amenities provided were great value for money, with thoughtful provisions that made my stay easy and enjoyable. The atmosphere was peaceful, and everything was just perfect for a relaxing getaway. Highly recommend!

Kindly turn off the Television downstairs after 12 am. I could hear it until 3 am in the morning. My room was 39.

It was a definite improvement on my former visit. The room had everything I needed for a room at that price and the bed was very comfortable. I didn't see much of the staff, but those that I did meet on reception were pleasant and helpful. The breakfast was inclusive and was excellent with a good choice of items. I am coeliac and this isn't catered for, but I took my own bread and a toast bag and was able to make toast in the toaster.

Front door access not easy - the door was "sticking", so not so easy to get in with luggage. The frontage could be more attractive.

Excellent location, parking on site and it included breakfast. Town is just down the hill and so is the train station which takes you directly to London. Fabulous hotel, great value for money. Room was clean, 24 hour reception, and very good breakfast included. Comfortable bed and lovely shower, staff were good.

Nothing tbh, but yes the main communal areas do need a face lift. Stains on the carpets and chairs. Yet the rooms are refurbed. You have a good value price for a London hotel. Can't fault it

It was a quiet location. Enough parking space which made taking public transport that much more easy. Nice staff to help out with every question you may have. A simple but good breakfast not much choice but still plenty to get energy for your days activities.

It was not a big deal but a small suggestion would be locks on the door in the rooms from te inside so kids can’t just open it and wonder around the hall.

This was my second stay. Different room each time. Gives the impression of a well-run budget hotel that has its priorities right. Both occasions bathrooms appeared new and the room was reasonable size. Importantly all spotlessly clean, bed comfy. Other furniture looking a bit tired but not critical. All the usual facilities in the room: tea, coffee, TV(small). Good self-service breakfast and off-street parking at the rear all included. Excellent for a warm, friendly and clean nights stay, well located near town centre, at a very fair price.

Nothing, exceeds expectations.

Despite the close proximity to the town centre, this is a fairly quiet location. The room and bed are of a good size and the ensuite (including bath as well as shower) is very welcome. There is a good size desk plus bedside units which is useful, as was the TV on occasions. There is also a kettle and a selection of tea or coffee etc. Room service is offered each day. The breakfast offered includes a 'full English' plus a selection of cereals, toast, jams and marmalade, yoghurt, fruit, tea and coffee. It made for a good start to the day. The staff are friendly and helpful - always a bonus.

Very little. Possibly the addition of croissants at breakfast ?

Bed was very comfortable. Room was tidy and clean. Powerful small shower head. Which was lovely and hot. With tea coffee facilities. Breakfast had different options... Cereal boxes. Yogurts. And hot option of bacon, scrambled eggs. Mushrooms and beans. Bread to make toast. Apple juice and fresh orange with tea and coffee. Hotel was a very good price for the facilities on offer. We would return.

Toilet had limescale but was still clean.

Room quite comfortable with minor access to bathroom facilities. Bed was quite comfortable Breakfast has a little minus point Staff are pleasant and helpful.

Breakfast was limiting. Drinks, fruits and setting fine. Problem ensues in that catering is only favourable to clients averse with pork based food. There were a few encounters with people encountering you in the street.

Genuinely as a group of 3 we had absolutely zero issues with regards to the property. If you were being incredibly fussy the front door could do with glossing but that’s picking holes at best. We had a spacious shower/bathroom. The TV was of average hotel room size. The actual room itself was perfect for a triple room. Lastly we got the room for an unbelievably low price for the week and the breakfast was included.

Absolutely nothing

Their car park is a bonus as I'm very protective about my car. Rooms are a good size and quality for the money. Reception staff always very helpful. There's a buffet breakfast now with a good choice, although the quality of ingredients could be better. 5 minute walk into town - it's the uphill walk coming back that can test one's mettle

I'm large and the shower cubicle is a bit small (but I've been in smaller). Room was very warm and I couldn't figure out how to turn down the heating
