I've not stayed here for a few years but it was like coming home. I had a long tiring day travelling with some travel disruption and a delayed flight. I arrived late tired and hungry. After a warn welcome I made my way to my room eager to jump in the shower and change before heading down to the bar. The bed looked so inviting. They are known for thier comfort, and a friend knowing I was staying, asked if I would swipe one of thier pillows for her. I went down to the bar and although food service was finished, I was handed a menu and told if I could decide fairly quickly the chef could provide. I selected the slow cooked brisket of beef. Then ordered a perfectly poured pint of Guinness and a Jamesons chaser and settled down in the cosy bar and a chat with a local. Just seemingly a few minutes later my superb dinner was placed in front of me. Having eaten and refreshed, my bed was calling. I then had the best night's sleep I've had in weeks. In the morning my brother met me and joined me for breakfast which was delicious, and the ladies serving were helpful and attentive. The Ballyrobin is the perfect Oasis for the weary traveller.

The close proximity to Belfast International Airport. Can provide airport shuttle bus service. We asked for an early morning breakfast before 7 am.There was a contential breakfast available, and they also provided hot, freshly cooked breakfast baps. Do a great Friday night steak and a bottle of wine offer. The bar and restaurant are in the original lovely old building with the bedrooms at rear on a new extension, so all bedrooms are modern and clean with comfortable large beds. Excellent value for money. Highly recommend this hidden gem of a hotel.

We had a spacious room overlooking the airport approach and we were worried that it might be noisy as flights were landing, but it was lovely and quiet and we didn't hear a thing when the window and curtains were closed. The staff were all very friendly and helpful and there was plenty of choice at breakfast.

The only minor niggle in our room was that we would have loved to have mugs for the tea/coffee rather than the small cups and saucers provided. Dinner in the restaurant was OK but not great. Fine when staying for only one night but would be limiting if there for longer.

The room was very nice in decoration, there was no noises in the room to keep us awake, which was great for our early start and cleanliness as well as the little touches here and there. Check-in time was great. we had a lovely supper both my sister and myself loved the delicious food, your chef was fantastic as was the service staff too! Well done!the bar area was a little small! the early morning receptionist was great too! Thank you. I will definitely stop here again & tell all my friends and family the BallyRobin Hotel is 1 of my top hotels around.

Just 'the small bar area' My sister & I both went in for a drink after our supper, then another 2 guests followed by someone I think the girl must have known! but the volume of them shouting instead of talking was too much that we couldn't hear what each other was saying across the table, which spoilt a otherwise pleasant evening!

It was all done to a lovely level - lovely free slippers - free iron - free tea and kettles and great bedding.

I would have liked a free hot drink of chocolate and a toaster if you dont drink tea or coffee; I had some myself as I am autistic so I only drink decaf and gluten free or chocolate; so some decaf teabags maybe for late at night also to add value to the amount we spend but I am old fashioned but its a lot of money to charge in my opinion being 44 and with an irish background. :)

The staff at the Ballyrobin were fantastic. So warm and welcoming and always on hand to support with anything we needed during our stay. The hotel was clean and warm and whilst there we did the evening meal and Gin experience. The food was fantastic, absolutely 10/10, all 6 of us cleaned our plates.

There was nothing during my stay that I could list that affected or dampened our visit.

The staff were welcoming and so very friendly. The housekeeping staff were fantastic and so accommodating. The restaurant on site was exceptional. Everywhere was spotless. I would recommend the Ballyrobin to anyone visiting. 10 minutes to Antrim, 20 minutes to Belfast Town Centre, 40 minutes to the Giants Causway. Perfectly situated and you don't hear the planes.

Huge pothole at the entrance from the main road, no lighting at the entrance from the main road so easy to miss.

all good. only minor thing was that we rushed through breakfast as the lady serving it said we’d need to arrive quite a bit earlier than we were planning to. we then got to the airport (which is quite small) and were waiting for over an hour at the gate after going through security. bit of a shame as we rushed our breakfast down in 10 mins and didn’t have much although it looked nice. the shuttle bus gets you to the airport in 5 mins which is great.

It was a nice hotel the staff was very helpful and friendly and the room was ok but you can hear the traffic outside at night when trying to sleep the staff member that was on all night at reception was a first class reception very helpful and friendly

Because we were staying in the hotel for the night because we were flying out at 07.00am we booked a transfer bus from the hotel which was being offered by the hotel for pickup at 05.00am at a cost of 9 pounds the bus was 15 minutes late that's the only thing that was not good from the hotel

I had an excellent stay at the hotel. My room was spacious and comfortable. It had a nice big bed and a small tea-making set. The bathroom was great with a bath and shower combo. The hotel staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The hotel is conveniently located just a few minutes' drive from the airport, and they can arrange for a shuttle to pick you up and drop you off. I would definitely consider staying here again.
