Hosts Jim and Lorraine were fantastic. They were there to greet us on arrival. Show us around the property and explain how everything worked. They were exceptionally accommodating in regard to catering for breakfasts. I consider myself somewhat of an amateur bodybuilder and brought my own box of eggs not wanting to use all the Jim and Lorraine’s however Jim was adamant that he could cater for my needs and provided me with a hearty supply of scrambled eggs for my breakfast both mornings. The property is walking distance to the Main Street with all the local shops, pubs and restaurants and is within a short drive to the local rothiemurchus estate where we enjoyed activities throughout our weekend. I would highly recommend the Dunroamin BB to anyone visiting Aviemore and I will be sure to use it again myself the next time I visit.

We loved everything about our stay. The location was fantastic - close to nature as well as conveniences like grocery store, gas station, and shops. The family room had plenty of space for us and our two kiddos. The breakfast was served from 8:00 to 9:00. There were a few regular options to choose from and a daily special that changed. All was delicious.

You may find the family room windows let in light around the shades so pack a sleeping mask if you are sensitive to light while sleeping in the summer months when days are long.

Lorraine and Jim!! The best hosts and so welcoming! The entire property inside and out was so pristine!! Our room and beds were so very comfortable! The morning breakfast time was such a treat!!! Delicious and charming!! Jim gave us great ideas of what to do that full day we were there! Aviemore is also such a sweet little town! We thoroughly enjoyed our short amount of time there!

A cute little B&B, very authentic and spotlessly clean. Hosts were a nice couple who prepared and served an excellent breakfast both mornings we were there. Centrally located in Aviemore which is a nice town with tons of activities for both children and adults alike.

Place doesn't have a central sitting area which is always nice but not a deal breaker as everything else is in line with what one should expect from a B&B of this type.

Very nice hosts, the room was clean and there was everything we needed. The breakfast was delicious with a different daily special available every day. Great that there was a vegetarian option :) Location good, 10 minutes walk from the bus.

The bed was a bit too small for us and the walls were very thin - we could hear the people in the next room talking.

We stayed in the triple room. Comfortable beds and a massive bathroom. All spotlessly clean. The large wardrobe/cupboard in the bathroom was a big bonus as we were not expecting hanging space and it meant we could keep the room tidy. The breakfasts were superb with a 'special of the day' on offer every day in addition to cooked breakfast. The bacon was quite honestly the best I have ever had in a hotel or guesthouse! The proprietor could not have been more helpful with allowing us to store skis in the garage and our luggage on the day of departure.

Local buses were very disappointing. Only one a day up to Cairngorm Mountain and no buses at all on a Sunday. We had to stop skiing at 1pm on the days that the buses did run. We would think twice about coming by train again.

We stayed at Dunroamin B&B for three nights. Jim and his wife Loraine have several rooms in their house. Although the rooms are a little dated in decoration, they are very comfortable and cosy. The bathroom is modern and very functional. The cleanliness is impeccable. We immediately felt at home. The breakfast is excellent and very copious. The hosts offer, in addition to the traditional continental and English breakfasts, a special breakfast that changes every day. Jim is very friendly and we enjoyed his humour. He gave us a lot of information about the area. We would recommend this B. & B. without hesitation.

The breakfast was excellent — especially the “ specials “ good coffee , hot toast, hot food on hot plates! Friendly chat, no rush to get finished. Good shower with all the bathroom extras. Very comfy bed, lovely and warm . Have only ever stayed in hotels before so was amazed at the attention to detail and comfort.

N/A everything was tiptop!
