Room was big and had a great view of the garden. Bed was comfy but bit weird that the two single beds which were joined together to make the super kind weren't ziplinked and you could feel the join. Breakfast was good, especially when table service offered rather than buffet. Staff were incredible, everyone made exceptional effort to ensure we had a good stay. Even when they made a mistake, they owned it and resolved it quickly :)
Nowhere to dry off wet boots or coats after hiking, hanging space was only in the wardrobe.

The bedrooms were good, tea making facilities and lovely shortbread biscuits . staff excellent, bars and restaurants lovely as again were the staff great choice for breakfast and great service, also a couple of evening meals were good quality. Perfect location for the highlands
The back areas, stairs and landings are a bit run down and need an update, that's not a complaint, we really admire all the hard work keeping these old treasured buildings still running, it would be a shame if this ever stopped, so well-done to all of you

Pulling up outside the impressive facade gives all the right impressions. It’s a very grand building with loads of history. The room was excellent - very neat and tidy, as well as quite big. Food was very good considering the price. Staff were excellent. Great value for money
Inside can best be described as “lived-in”. It has a slightly ‘worn’ feel to the decor, fixtures and fittings, but when the price is taken into account, it’s absolutely fine. Given that the stairs and corridors looked a bit unloved, I was worried that our second floor room would be the same. It wasn’t - in fact it was rather good…

This castle style hotel is something that I do recommend for all who would like to discover the area. Staff was very kind, service were on a high level. Breakfast offered wide variety of dishes, we were able to pick all the components for a real Scottish breakfast. The hotel has a great restaurant to taste the local dishes, beers, whiskeys for dinner. River Nethy and the starting point of a nice walkway is at the corner. The hotel is can function as a perfect base to discover the National Park, visit Inverness or Loch Ness.
The room was rather small and oldish (except the great bathroom), windows and the entrance door were also outdated.

The property was very traditional but a lot nicer than the hostel with half a bed that my friend Kristian suggested we stay in. We were on a canoe trip from boat of garten so was perfect for what we needed. The bar was a particular highlight, however we were told the cocktail bar was closed but as we retired for bed we caught one of the coach trips getting rather lairy in there. As a group we really enjoyed the pictures on the stairs capturing the hotels heritage, it was great to enjoy the journey it had been on showing many previous guests, including thermo man.
The windows hadn’t been changed since 1925 and were a bit rattly in the wind.

The room was clean, the bathroom exceptionaly clean. Breakfast was the tipical scottish breakfast, but it was plenty and tasty. The staff was welcoming. We had a delay at the airport, and they reached out by phone if everything was OK, and when can they expect us. The whole building has this forgotten in time feel with stylish vintage furniture and amazing decoratione. Having spent our first night in Scotland at the hotel, I`d say it was our best choice to experience the food, the mountain views, the people, as a first impression.
The hallways look old, like not refurbished since maybe 30 years, but the rooms and toilets are clean and tidy.

Beautiful old building with plenty of character, externally & internally the hotel does need some repairs and updating, but the staff are all amazing, friendly and helpful and the hotel & rooms were spotlessly clean.
We were disappointed that the wonderfully unique rotating front doors were not in use as needed repairing, when we stayed at Christmas ( a few years ago now) these doors were one of the highlights of our stay!! Would be lovely to see them working again as very nostalgic to the building.

Breakfast was fine A good enough choice. The room was clean, comfortable and warm. A lovely lounge to sit in after our evening meal but as the hotel caters for coach parties there sometimes wasn't so much space. Bar well stocked with whiskies and local bottles of beer. Not much draft beer (as opposed to lager). The menu was the same each night - a 'special' or two would have added to the variety. All the staff were great. Very friendly, very helpful. They are a definite bonus and would make me return.
I would have liked a different evening meal menu occasionally, perhaps a couple of 'specials' each evening.

Breakfast very good, clean bedroom and bathroom, had a comfy sleep, view of garden lovely, but don't walk on the grass!!!!!!
Gardener shouting at us to get off the grass on our last morning as there was a wedding next day. No signage to say "keep off the grass". We Wanted to take a picture with the hotel name and scottish st andrews flags. So after a lovely stay, this was dissapointing. We chose the Nethybridge hotel as near the cairngorms where my husbands ashes are scattered. So we enjoyed our stay and time, but it was spoiled a bit by the gardener.

We had a very pleasant weekend at the Nethy Bridge Hotel. It is an old building and needs a little bit of care and attention but out room was comfortable and clean and the bathroom was obviously recently upgraded. Breakfast buffet was excellent with plenty of choice and we had dinner in the bar both nights- again a good menu and not too expensive. The staff were excellent throughout and could not do enough for us. The hotel is dog friendly (lots of dogs there) and plenty of way marked walks locally along the River Nethy and in the woods. We are hoping to return soon.
The building is a vast Victorian pile and in some public areas in need of a coat of paint and looks a bitty tatty but this did not spoil the our weekend and in some ways added to the charm. If you are looking for high class luxury this is not the place for you but if you want to enjoy a great weekend then recommended
