Great location, very quiet in the resort. although Aviemore was quite busy for the time of year. A very easy 20 minute walk to the centre of Aviemore. The chalet was great, everything was there that we needed. Beds very comfy, great views from the sunroom at the back of the property. The sauna in the bathroom was a big bonus. We parked the car right outside the front door, so no problems moving our suitcases. We didn't use the main pool or facilities, which looked very inviting and clean, but if we had, they were included for free in the price. We would certainly stay here again.

On arrival at the chalet, we found the dishwasher was still full of pots, pans and cutlery and was warm to the touch, obviously had been forgotten about. The main problem, the toilet was blocked. Unfortunatley we didn't find out until after reception had closed. On reporting it to reception the next day, it was dealt with very swiftly. The outside seating areas hadn't been cleaned for quite a while and made it imposible to use, we reported this at the same time as the toilet problem, but on our return nothing had been cleaned. This is a shame, as the weather was very kind whilst we were there, it would have been nice to have been able to sit outside. These problems just took the edge off the chalet being perfect for our stay, although we would certainly return in the future.

We stayed at the Macdonald Spey Valley Resort for a week. As we were a large group, we stayed in 2 of the apartments. The apartments were excellent, being decently sized and clean, with nice views. There was also a small balcony-like extension where we spent many of our nights relaxing and talking whilst enjoying the view. The resort's facilities were delightful to enjoy; the kids loved the swimming pool, and others could enjoy themselves in the games room, playing a wide range of sports. The sauna was also a very pleasurable experience, as was the steam room. Overall, we had a very enjoyable time and we loved our stay.

Apartment was of ample size as we were only a couple plus dog but would also be ample for two couples or family of four. Ensuite bedrooms x 2. Large lounge/dining area. Easy walk into Aviemore.

No Netflix / Films on TV which was included as per booklet within apartment. Cleanliness of windows and drinking / wine glasses could have been better. Ideally we would have liked a washing machine, particularly for a longer stay. Microwave although electrically functional was not in full working order, as we could not set the heat level, which we did mention at reception twice. However, this was not essential and did not spoil holiday.

Spacious, clean. Though we have not checked every facility the resort has to offer, the ones we checked were good. Staff was friendly and helpful. No complaints. My list of negatives seems bigger than the positives, but the overall verdict for me is very positive.

Swimming pool was small, though could make use of a bigger one in the Aviemore Activity Centre in the village centre. Though you have to pay for that one, it is worth it. Also you need to make reservations if you want to eat in the restaurant of the resort which is not convenient. But the food was nice. Aviemore itself is not very interesting, though from here you can make enjoyable day-trips.

Exceeded our expectations, helpful staff at resort center, beautiful and peaceful location. Well maintained grounds and extremely spacious apartment with own sauna and log burner and the high ceilings were wonderful. Had the whole, indoor swimming pool to myself which was amazing. Shops & takeaway nearby and kitchen with all you'd need to cook. The decor is a little dated yes but the space and facilities make up for this! Perfect space for our Labrador too so you feel comfortable. If you have the chance spend the extra to have the sauna in the apartment, it's worth it! Was my first time and now I want one in my own home - after researching they have so many health benefits as well! :)

The location, size and that it had been modernised inside with new bathrooms. It was bright, airy and clean.

The only downside was the outside of the property, it was filthy and in need of a wash. It did look like it needed to be better maintained outside as the wood looked tired and worn and in need of a good paint/varnish on the stairs, handrails etc. While letting the dog out we noticed that one of your staff members had emptied the contents of the hoover into the bushes at the side of the property which we we felt was unnecessarily lazy considering it would just have been as easy to empty into a bin.

Self contained lodges were excellent, very clean & had everything we needed. Place felt quite homely & beds were comfortable. We settled in quickly. Liked layout of resort.

Window handles are loose & need fixed. Reception staff didn’t let us know about games hall or indoor activities which we only found out about the day before we left. Same with entertainment & we missed the quiz. No details on restaurant or clubhouse facilities either. This could be improved upon with a proper welcome & introduction. Just small stuff which makes a big difference. Location is on the outskirts of town which is a 20-25 minute walk.

Lovely environment; our upstairs apartment overlooked beautifully manicured grounds. Outside balcony alongside indoor sunroom. Apartment was very well equipped in the kitchen, freshly decorated bathroom with shower over bath. Comfortable sitting room with plenty of storage and comfy furniture. Good size bed & bedroom with plenty of storage. Comfy bed. Good restaurant on the site with outside play area. Indoor swimming pool facility was clean and warm. Friendly staff throughout the site. Supermarket & fast food outlets a few minutes drive away. Would recommend & stay there again if in the area.

Nothing!

We stayed for 3 nights - 4 adults and 3 young kids and we had a wonderfull vacation. The place is amazing. The house was big, clean and had everything you need for a long stay - big livingroom, long big table, full kithcen with dishwasher, 2 bathrooms and showers, washing maching and also a sauna and a balcony. The 3 bedrooms were big and comfortable. The place has free pool, gym and souna which is great, especially when you are with kids. Also great fields and grass for the kids to play. Wifi was good and ofcourse free parking. Location is also great near Avimor, easy base to travel around.

Amazing location, very peaceful and good for dog walks with the family. We visited the highland park which is definitely worth a visit

We asked for bedding for the sofa bed and an extra towel (family of 3 but only 2 towels and one bed made up) were told this would be delivered as they didn’t have any spare in reception. By the time we got back to the apartment it was after 5pm on the Saturday so housekeepers were finished and no bedding or extra towels had been delivered , they still hasn’t been delivered by Sunday night. Check out was Monday morning so we had cut our losses by then after knowing that reception don’t seem to stock any spares.
