It was spacious and comfortable with lots of useful facilities included. Space in the room was well used and it was so nice that a small kitchen and seated area was included. Beautifully decorated all round. The staff were incredible, from the checking in to the restaurant, it was clear they were incredibly knowledgeable and really took the time to look after all customers. Food was delicious in the restaurant and we were very impressed by all the service.

The floors were a little dirty in the room upon arrival. We left shoes in the entrance hall, but found that socks and feet would get a little dirty from the room.

Very clean and good facilities in the room with a well equipped kitchen. Perfect location and friendly professional staff. Cocktails and drinks were very nice from the bar and a good atmosphere, with a small outside seating area. Food menu looked good but the restaurant was full for the evening so would recommend booking in advance. Other good places to eat in the area but again, many require booking (Saturday night stay).

Hotel has a car park but can only be accessed from 3pm when checking in, so something to bare in mind if you plan on going earlier in the day that parking in the area is busy and is an extra charge. Air conditioning did leak throughout the night unless it was left on, member of staff who showed us up to the room was helpful in rectifying the issue.

Really beautiful room, felt like it was brand new. Very clean, with lovely little details in the decor. Comfortable bed, nicely furnished. The room was very quiet; the bar downstairs had loud music playing but I couldn't hear it at all from my second floor room, even though the windows overlooked the outdoor seating area. Heard nothing from other rooms and the carpets were so thick I felt confident I could move around without causing a nuisance to the people below me. Air-con/heating, TV, dining table and the kitchen had pretty much everything you could need (2 hobs, microwave, kettle, pans, fridge, cutlery, plates etc). This is handy since there isn't a huge range of places to eat after 5pm - in my opinion definitely worth booking a hotel room with kitchenette in Barmouth (Co-op is behind the train station a few minutes' walk away). Tea, coffee and biscuits provided. The location is less than 10 minutes walk from the beachfront, with lots of little shops nearby.

Room great and spotlessly clean and facilities in the room were excellent. Loved the small courtyard area and the ability to open doors and air conditioning was great.

Checking out at 10am - was not very impressed when you have paid £140 for the night - would have expected min 11am or 12 check out. Its a lot of money for 20 hours use of room. I was aware that there was no breakfast included, however for the cost of the room I would have expected something - i.e. porridge pots or bread for toast or croissant in the rooms so we could do it ourselves.

Everything about The Fanny Talbot is fabulous The accommodation is immaculate and tasteful. The staff are amazing - thank you so much, Nevin and Luke. The other staff members were brilliant also, but I don't have their names. The location with private parking close by could not be better. The Fanny Talbot restaurant is 5 stars and has amazing value. I highly recommend The Fanny Talbot. Thank you all again for a brilliant stay.

Nothing to dislike

The room was beautifully decorated. Very spacious considering all it had to offer. The kitchenette was equip with everything you would need to make a small meal/ breakfast. The bed was so so comfortable and the curtains blocked out all day light which was perfect for a lie in. The bathroom was delightful! Large shower and fluffy towels. Smart TV so we were able to stream whatever we wanted. Location was great, 5 minutes to the beach. Plenty of places to eat and drink within walking distance. 15 minute walk to Barmouth bridge. The fanny Talbot restaurant is amazing, we didn't eat there but had drinks at the bar. Staff were friendly and the food looked delicious!

Our room was up 2 flights of stairs which isn't the end of the world but we weren't made aware of it when we made the booking. Our neighbours woke us up at 7am, not sure if they were heavy footed or not the best sound proofing. But no other complaints of noise for our 2 night stay.

Absolutely everything. The rooms are beautiful, you have everything you need. Hands down the most amazing Sunday lunch we’ve ever had. Barmouth was so busy and we struggled to find somewhere to eat. The best barmaid went out of her way to ensure we had a Sunday lunch. Amazing place, our favourite- wouldn’t stay anywhere else ♥️

Great location. Easy to find parking to load/unload nearby. And there was a free car park a 1 min walk away. Well decorated and good equipment. Lots of space. Staff were super friendly. Also it was very quiet.

Only that it would be better with a black bin bag in the bin rather than thin white ones. There was 1 washing tablet and 2 dishwasher tablets for the week. Good to know that we should bring more. And it needed oven gloves!!

The room was beautifully decorated. Tasteful and had just the right amount of furniture to make it work. The bathroom was modern and well laid out. The kitchenette had everything we needed to cook when we decided not to eat out. The room (2) was at the front of the property and had double aspect windows, that opened fully to let the cool air flow through the room. It was lovely to sit in the window and watch the world go by. The cleaning staff were great and we were never disturbed when we asked not to be. The room was always left spotless, with clean towels, bedding and coffee and tea too ups. The nice touch was the lovely soaps and shower gels. Also a water filter jug for cold water in the fridge. The bar staff were lovely and just the right amount of chatty. I would recommend this hotel to my family and friends.

The air-con system in room 2 needs a look at as it buzzes loudly intermittently (even through the night).

Slap bang in the middle of Barmouth the strangely named Fanny Talbot was exellent for an overnight stay on our way round the Welch coast. The guy who met us was helpful.Our room had a kitchenette which was a great suprise.it was very well looked after room and a credit to who Ever does it.Lots of eating places are close by,as well as in the Fanny Talbot Would certainly recommend it to use for a short break
