Samantha, my host, was extremely nice and friendly and the breakfast was superb, especially with black pudding! There was everything that I needed and Samantha even goes to the trouble of putting extra tea, coffee and milk outside, in an immediate hallway for the guests if they should need them. The accommodation is absolutely great, in a lovely, quiet location and easy to find. I was travelling in a car and there was plenty of parking but I also noticed a guest on a motorcycle and this was useful to know for the future as I have a motorcycle. I would strongly recommend a stay here and I will certainly be returning. Thank you so much, Samantha.

Absolutely nothing at all and it was perfect for my stay.

The staff made the hotel. They were so welcoming and lovely. The breakfast was fantastic too and more than what we expected. The rooms are a little dated but the welcome pack explains the accommodation is going through renovation. However the room was clean and comfortable. The location is fantastic, a short walk into town and plenty of lovely scenic walks right on the doorstep

The rooms are a little dated and the quilt was rather thin (this could be due to it being summer but I like a thick quilt year round). This was not really an issue though and the accommodation was clean and comfortable

the rooms and decor is dated, continental breakfast very basic. cooked breakfast looked ok but I didn’t have it. I got room at a discount but it would be overpriced at full price I think as it’s a bit dated - but then again prices are going up everywhere, and maybe it’s just not quite my taste in decor and others would love it. very kind staff and that’s always important

THE PROPERTY WAS IN A GREAT LOCATION TO EITHER WALK INTO DOLGELLAU and was close to road networks for exploring. We had a comfortable stay, with a fabulous cooked breakfast. The hosts were extremely accommodating to our needs. The property is a little tired, but more than adequate for our needs.

Firstly I should point out that this was the cheapest place I could find to stay in the area and bearing that in mind if contemporary decor and top drawer fit and finish matter to you then maybe this isn't the place for you. For me and both of the friends I went with we appreciated the friendly host, the comfortable beds, the excellent breakfast and the fact that each of our three rooms had a bath. The weather had turned a bit colder - it was late September - and we asked if the heating could be turned on and it was which was much appreciated given the sky high cost of doing so at the time of writing. There is a helpful booklet in each room detailing local walks, shops and restaurants, an outdoor seating area and the location was excellent as a base for touring Snowdonia. We wouldn't hesitate to go back.

Great sized room, lovely patio and outside siting area, plenty of parking for cars and undercover parking area for bikes. Samantha was a super host and looked after everyone perfectly. Dolgellau town is a 10 minute walk along a riverside footpath, several pubs and takeaways, Co op and Spar. You can walk the Mawddach trail from river path, but don't do it on a Sunday as the buses don't turn up for the return journey! 😂

Very friendly, helpful hosts. Good spacious triple room (there were two of us) with good sized ensuite with bath and shower. Plenty of useful storage. Good wifi. Just over half a mile from town centre. Handy location for the bike parks. Would definitely stay here again. PS If you like pizza, try the Stag Inn in town, it had very tasy wood fired pizzas, and a log burner on the go.

Nothing to do with the b&b, but the Beast and Mbr trails at Coed y Brenin are lethal in the wet with xc tyres! Defo change to some decent Maxis or similar before you go. PS The b&bs bike storage is not lockable - so bring a good lock or leave the bikes in your car / van.

Excellent breakfast. Good quality food and very well cooked. We all enjoyed the breakfasts. The room was very comfortable and warm enough. The hosts were very welcoming. It was quiet and relaxing.

I found the shower floor rather slippery and there was nothing to hold on to. Perhaps the provision of a rubber mat would solve the problem.

The welcome, how you are looked after. It is in a perfect place for us visiting the Mach Loop. Only a 15 minute walk into the town which means you can easily access food and drinking hostelries. Parking is ample The breakfasts are really good and fill you up for the day. Shower is really powerful so are able to unwind the day out of you.

The cooked breakfast was great. We ordered the night before and it was freshly cooked on arrival. There was an option to eat in our room or in the breakfast room.

Finding the hotel was difficult as it was dark and the sign outside was not visible. Apparently it had blown down recently and would be replaced.
