the breakfast was excellent - I am allergic to sugar and was offered porridge as an alternative to the cereal that was offered before the full English Breakfast. The beds are very comfortable, with no foot board (I often find the foot board makes the bed too short to sleep in). The cotton sheets were of very good quality and the property was very well heated. Great view from Room 7. Everywhere was very clean. Also very handy was the ability to buy a toothbrush or razor and other cosmetics. Great idea to have. Lovely gas burning stove in the sitting room.

A couple of handles were missing on the wardrobes but really no issue as i did not need to use the entire built in wardrobe; also the password for the wifi was incorrect on the information sheet by the bed. I am nitpicking as it was such a welcoming b&b.

Everything about this place and Beverly the host is absolutely wonderful. I used to be very sceptical about staying in B&B but my first experience at Garstoncottage B&B was really beautiful. Lovely cottage and ever smiling lady warmed my stay. Stunning scenery just out the window and surrounding areas. Warm fireplace with lots of books to read, comfy bed with heater and real clean attached bathroom in our room. Lots of complimentary coffee, chocolate drink and biscuits too. The English breakfast is sumptuous with fresh fruits, cereal, yogurt. Thank you Beverly for the piping hot breakfast. Highly recommended B&B!

Beverley was a superior host! She really went above and beyond for me and my family, which really added to our stay. The BnB itself is cute and in a very charming little town called Bathford (about 10mins by car from Bath). Our room was a good size for a triple. The beds were comfy. Room was fitted out well fairly well. Simple but clean place with a VERY generous made-to-order English breakfast. Would definitely stay here again - thank you very much for your hospitality, Beverley!

Some very minor things, but room did not have a mini-fridge in it. Beverley was quite gracious however and allowed us to store some items in her personal fridge. Don't recall if room had luggage rack in it, but could benefit from one or from having an additional one. We had 3 large suitcases and didn't have a place to put all of them up off of the floor.

The location was perfect for exploring the surrounding countryside and Bath. It was a stone’s throw from a bus line that went directly in to Bath. The bus came every 20 minutes so it was a very convenient way to explore the city. Also, the cottage is in walking distance to a public footpath that allowed us to explore a bit of the surrounding countryside as well as easily walk to a pretty pub for dinner. The breakfast was delicious and promptly served each morning we were there. Our host, Beverly was kind and thoughtful.

The only issue we had was the temp in our room was a bit hot. Our stay being in summer though, that was to be expected.

The property was quiet with beautiful country views. Rooms were well equipped with everything needed and extra goodies too. Loved so much that there were built-in usb chargers with the plugs in the room. We only had one universal charger and they enabled us to charge everyone’s devices at once. Our host was amazing and the full breakfast was superb! So many options for any appetite!

The bunkbeds were quite creaky anytime someone moved, but the mattresses were very comfortable.

Everything is great - Room size is big and also can accommodate a family of 4. Bed is very comfort. Breakfast is freshly made and very good (eggs from own farm). We love your breakfast very much (also the best breakfast during this trip). The place owner (Beverly) is very lovely and give us good service. We stayed 2 nights here and the room was cleaned every day. Note: this cottage is not in Bath, but in Bathford but we are ok with this stay.

Compared the price with the other cities in UK, the price is quite higher, but everything in this cottage is worth for the money. Totally recommended.

We liked everything about our stay in Garston Cottage. It's a beautiful cottage with lovely views not far from Bath City Centre. There is a bus stop 5 mins walk from the cottage and a nice pub a little further on. It was well worth the extra 10 minute walk. Great atmosphere and good food. We chose to walk into Bath and back every day of our stay. Beverley kindly gave us directions which took us along the canal. Beverley was so friendly and helpful. A really lovely lady who made us feel very welcome from the moment we arrived. Our room with ensuite was clean and comfortable. There was tea and coffee making facilities with hot chocolate and biscuits too! The cooked full english breakfast was absolutely delicious! There was also a selection of cereals, fruit, yoghurt and pastries to choose from. We enjoyed our stay here and would definitely recommend this lovely B&B. We're looking forward to coming back. Thanks Beverley x

There wasn't anything we didn't like about our stay here.

Our hostess, Beverly, was wonderful. She is sweet, cheerful and gave us wonderful travel tips of the region. The breakfasts were delicious and made to order. Woke up every morning to a wonderful view of the countryside. Beverly certainly made our stay there memorable. The location was perfect for visiting Bath. A bus at the end of the street made travel to and from Bath easy. All in all, we would recommend Gastoncottage highly and look forward to visiting again.!

So Our BATH university trip 2022 started with a car accident less than 5 minutes from the house, where a guy reversed right into us and our bonnet is now ruined .... sigh. So we had to go home regroup pickup the other car and head off for a second time. #positivevibes Arrived late at the cutest B&B called Garston cottage, the lovely host called Beverley met us with a smile and made us comfortable. The room was home away from home, clean and comfortable. The bathroom was modern and clean with plenty of towels and a good shower. After a good night's rest and the best English breakfast we've ever had we headed off on our busy day with a directions map drawn by Beverley to help us find our way. Bath university is gorgeous, it's a campus so everything is right where you need it. Like a mini city. It was a great day, very eye opening. My hubby spent the day checking out the gyms in Bath. 😁 We then headed home.... the traffic getting out of Bath is shocking with alot of roadworks so a 3 hour journey turned into a 5 hours journey so I would suggest checking your route before you leave to take the alternative route. We failed to do this. #fail. Thank you Beverley for making our little trip a really lovely one.

Access from here to Bath was convenient. The premises were very clean, tidy and well run, with a wonderful rural outlook from our bedroom. The breakfast was good - more than adequate and served by the friendly Proprietor in comfortable surroundings.

While the address suggested the cottage could be accessed from the main road, the more convenient access was actually via a quiet rear lane. Here, limited roadside parking was somewhat of an issue, but nevertheless available.
