The first morning the breakfast was very sparse and the trays not replenished. Only one fried egg left, that I had but that was cold. Only A few beans. No sausages.
Breakfast could’ve been hotter. The water mill just below our room no 108 kept me awake. I tried to sleep on the duvet on the bathroom floor but the fan kept running so went back to the bed. I I then called reception. It was about 1.30am. The receptionist came up and said he’d stop the mill wheel running.

Staff were lovely and made it special for my boyfriends birthday and upgraded our room for free we had a beautiful room with a beautiful view!
More vegetarian options at breakfast such as veggie sausages or fake bacon would of been great, and the check out time is 11 it would be nice to have a midday checkout or something a little later!

The main part of the Hotel was lovely but be careful that you don't get put in the Lodge "annexe". It's a beautiful location with amazing views and the staff were lovely and helpful. The food is delicious and beautifully presented. I recommend the omelette for breakfast 😋. For a quiet weekend getaway, it is ideal. I LOVED watching people pay their tolls into a little cup held by the 2 attendants and watching the river and the mill wheel.
It is not very convenient for a tourist without a car who wants to see the Bath sights. There are lots of buses fairly close by, but it takes about 30 minutes out of your day for travel each way. More suitable as a base for someone with a car to just enjoy the little village of Batheaston and the really lovely atmosphere and views at this historic property.

Very clean, great staff and lovely quiet location. Ideal for us. Great size room.
I would have given it top marks but the attention to repairs and bathroom bring it down. Limescale on shower head, bad shower tile repairs and sealant. Some mould on the grouting. Broken soap dispenser in shower so had to use the dispenser over the sink. Damaged sink. All these things could so easily be remedied at very little cost. Car parking : make sure you park BEFORE 4.30 PM or it will be a nightmare. Very tight and impossible to find a space if any later. We stayed midweek, so dread to think what it would be like at the weekend!

We didn't pay for breakfast with our stay, so I cannot speak on the food, but I can speak on the excellence of the staff. Ezra & Elle were our main contacts while staying in the hotel and they were so kind and helpful. We really enjoyed speaking with them and they provided useful insight on the surrounding area. I was nervous about our stay because reviews online seemed to be pretty negative, but the room was very clean and comfortable (we were in a basic double), and despite being right next to the toll bridge, was quite and safe. It was located in a great area, and was within walking distance of the Roman Baths (it's a long walk, but it is a nice way to get to see the town)
Not necessarily a dislike, but our room was not handicap accessible. We didn't need an accessible room, but if you are wheelchair bound or have mobility issues, make sure you request a room that can properly accommodate you. Also be aware of limited parking during peak tourist season. We stayed during the off season so we had no issue with parking, but it is a very tight lot that can be hard to navigate if you're a foreign tourist unfamiliar with the British way of driving.

The room was nice and comfortable. The breakfast was lovely and we had a nice view of the river. We arrived late and wanted a drink from the bar, the receptionist came down and served us and was very friendly and accommodating.
The shower only managed to make it to luke warm. I may have read it wrong on the Booking.com site but I was under the impression that parking was included. I found the £10 fee to park a bit petty and outdated to be honest. There is restricted parking on a first come/first served basis which is fine but to charge for it in this day and age just seems a bit stingey. It was only a tenner so i can live with it but we paid £169 for B&B, taking the extra £10 just seems petty to me.

Location was beautiful, very romantic with the mill wheel and river, staff were superb and so friendly and helpful, especially the young lady who served us dinner and breakfast and also worked behind the bar,she was just so polite and incredibly helpful,a huge asset to the hotel,it was all around a great experience, thank you!!
Not much we didn’t like, the outside area could have benifited from better mood lighting and updated furniture,if the mill wheel was in motion that would have been amazing, maybe create a more inviting, cosy, softly lit space to sit and enjoy the river and the location in the evening or night.

Mainly the location. We wanted to be out of Bath but close enough to get into town easily
Seems a bit run down. In need of some attention. I get the impression it might have changed hands not long ago. The restaurant seems to have changed names and is now Italian. The menu was ok but not outstanding. The breakfast menu was also not very inspiring but adequate. Our room was clean and tidy if a little cramped. We were on the corner overlooking the toll bridge which was a bit noisy at times.

Beautiful location next to the toll bridge and river with an operating waterwheel. Views from the lounge were amazing. We were upgraded to the hotel from the lodge rooms. Bus stop to city centre is 5 minute walk. On site Italian restaurant was excellent. Grilled salmon was superb. Close to the George Inn pub for another dining option. Room was small but well appointed, with large screen smart TV. Ensuite bathroom with tub and shower. The room was clean and beds were comfortable. Staff was amazing and very hard working.
This property is a diamond in the rough. The location is wonderful but the property exterior especially could use updating. There is no air conditioning and the room was really stuffy. Thankfully it wasn’t hot outside. We asked for a fan which was provided and the room was comfortable after that. Path up to the main road is very steep and overgrown; not accessible for anyone with mobility issues. The staff work very hard but are understaffed with front end staff often covering multiple jobs.

We got a basic room which is bit smaller than other but it was suitable for us, it was clean, and every day they come in and change our towels and coffee/tea etc. Outside area was fab, next to beautiful toll bridge and the river. Plenty spaces to sit outside the patio. You even can have breakfast at the patio watching the riverside. Food was excellent, breakfast was included in price which have full hot breakfast or pancakes with honey and bacon etc. There are also cold breakfast with bread/toast, jam etc, you can just help yourself. Tried different meals for evening dinner everyday, you get large portion and it good for your money. All the staff were very friendly and helpful if got problem. You can leave your car in car park and just get any bus round a corner to take you to city centre for £2 a person. We got off the main bus station so we know where the bus is to get back. There a train station next to it which price are also cheap, went to Bristol for £19.50 for 2 people. Bath is beautiful and it worth going at least once for experience.
