The location is great. The bedsheets were very clean and beds were comfortable, they made sure to keep our group together in the same rooms with no other guests. The staff were friendly and easy to deal with. Great for large groups that will only be getting a few hours sleep after a night out.

It’s an old building so it’s not the cleanest place but it was obvious they were trying hard to clean it. Spotted a rat outside the window on the bottom floor. Some unusual characters in the communal room but harmless and never tried to interact with our group.

I rated my experience an 8/10 primarily because of Isab. He is incredibly kind and accommodating, as are the other staff members. While the facilities of the hostel may not be outstanding, the friendly and approachable attitudes of the staff significantly improved my stay. Their warmth and dedication made all the difference.

I recommend more frequent cleaning of the bathrooms and toilets, as well as a thorough deep clean of the kitchen. There are oil residues on the walls, which contribute to an unpleasant odor. Regular kitchen cleaning and improvements to furniture and storage would help with organization. Additionally, the interiors of the rooms could benefit from enhancements, such as installing wallpaper to create a more appealing atmosphere. The hallways and corridors also need repainting and could be made more inviting with decorations like paintings. Furthermore, the doors of the rooms should be replaced, as they create disturbing noises when opened and closed. Overall, addressing these interior design issues would create a more attractive and comfortable environment.

Good hostel to stay in. I got to meet different people and the people were very nice. They clean the toilets and the room everyday. As a solo traveler it is a good place to stay and save money. My aim was to visit places in Belfast and didn't think to have a cozy comfortable hotel to stay in so I invested my money for the fun part. Anyway you would be visiting places the whole day and I feel there is no use for high price hotel rooms. You will get a big storage under your bed and you can put your bags and stuff and lock it with your own locker. Every bed has a screen, so even if the room light is turned on , you won't feel it because it'll be dark inside. They have a kitchen, fridge and a common area.. They got 6 stoves so if you are planning to cook for yourself for the days you are going to stay in there will be a lot to save. Nearby there is a spar and getting lunch deals are good. Mostly you got everything nearby. I enjoyed my 5days here and if I have to come back, I would choose this hostel again. I even met people who are acting in game of thrones. It is a gender neutral hostel but people are nice.

The only thing is I couldn't sleep well because my roommate snored to 100% volume up, I know it's normal but it was way loud and I use my earphones 🤣 and that was so unbearable. He was making some weird noises and movements in his bed as I could hear his bunker shaking.

I'’ve had the pleasure of staying at Lagan Backpackers multiple times over the past few years, and each visit has been nothing short of fantastic. From the moment you arrive, the friendly and approachable staff make you feel right at home. They are always ready to help with a smile, offering great tips on local attractions and activities. The atmosphere is welcoming and warm, which is perfect for solo travelers or groups alike. The location couldn’t be better! It’s conveniently situated close to the town center, making it easy to explore all the sights and enjoy the local culture. Plus, the price is incredibly reasonable, allowing you to enjoy your stay without breaking the bank. One of the highlights of staying at Lagan Backpackers is the opportunity to meet so many interesting people from all over the world. I’ve made lasting friendships during my stays, and it’s always exciting to share stories with fellow travelers in the communal areas. I highly recommend Lagan Backpackers to anyone looking for a great place to stay. I know I’ll be back for more unforgettable experiences!

I can't stay forever.

The hostel is located next to Belfast Queen's university. Lidl is 30 walking min away. The property has a spacious common are for whatever you wanna do. Wifi is stable, so you can work from there. The kitchen is well-equipped. Free tee and coffee. The hostel is maintained clen and tidy, and the guests respect the rules. What impressed me the most was the attitude of the personnel. Extremely friendy and helpful. Price/value ratio taking into account Belfast's standart: great! Probably, one of the most affordable places in Belfast, and a great value for what you are paying for.

Beds were a bit uncomfortable, and I did not find power plugs next to the beds.

Loved the fact that when I advised Reception more sugar was needed for the kitchen, Tara who was just finishing her shift, went to the local supermarket and bought sugar as the ordered delivery to hostel wasn't arriving till later.

The weather. Other person staying there made a to die for smelling curry but had only made enough for 1. He did, however, gave me the recipe and the measurements of the spices. It worked for me!
