Kings Head is a listed building so has a quirky side which adds to the experience. Breakfast good. Bar has a pool table. People are friendly. Close to town centre for places to eat in the evenings. Close to Barracks and visitors centre (up the street).

The room was comfortable and, despite the age of the building, equipped with modern facilities, e.g., a charging device for USB devices. The manager was very helpful as we were entering and leaving the place, in helping us lift bags up the stairs, in explaining the facility, and in calling a cab for us as we left.
This is an old building. Everything is up or down a set of stairs. In our room was a single step for which one needed to be alert.

Iain & Linda were the perfect hosts, we were made to feel welcome and nothing was to much trouble for them. Breakfast was excellent, Room clean & comfortable, Free parking a few minutes away. We had two nights in the bar staff and locals treated us like we were old friends, Location is perfect just a couple of minutes from shops, cafes, bars, etc.
There was absolutely nothing we did not like, i have read a few reviews which mentioned seagull noise and also some complaints about uneven floors in the hotel. I find these comments absolutely ridiculous, why would anyone visit a seaside town and not expect to hear seagulls ? As for uneven floors, in a two hundred year old building its called character !!.

Nice large, clean room, small bathroom but clean, good location, 15 min walk from train station, 5 min walk from local buses, short walk to restaurants. Very nice owner.
Since this hotel does not have any breakfast options, they should put a small fridge in the room so that the guests can manage something for their breakfast.

Linda and Ian made us feel so welcome, nothing too much trouble even supplied us with knives, forks and plates for our chinese take out. Bed was soooooo comfy. We even made it as judges on the karaoke ... Simon Cowell has no worries... great location, also a short drive from St Abbs and Coldingham beaches which we had fun collecting sea glass. Will defo be back.
Nothing to dislike

Very clean and comfortable with everything we needed for our short stay. Breakfast was excellent, as was the service from the helpful manager. Very central to the town . Although on street parking requires a disc, free parking is only a 3 minute walk away and we were quickly directed to it.
A longer stay might mean you could struggle for storage space. Water pressure was a bit low, but shower was nice and hot.

Absolutely fantastic location not far from the centre of Berwick. Linda & Ian were superb hosts, nothing was a problem, helpful and friendly. Very clean comfortable room. Excellent accommodation in Berwick. Will be staying again when I’m next in Berwick for work and also to stay over for a weekend with my wife.
Nothing it was all good.

Staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was delicious and service was quick. We walked to the King's Head when completing the Northumberland Coast Path and were able to walk to the train station the next day - very convenient location. Lots of nearby restaurants and shops.
The bar was rather loud (we were there on a Saturday night). I was on the third floor so it didn't affect me much but the rest of our group of six were on the second floor and it was rather noisy for them until closing time.
