The staff were all very welcoming and friendly, especially the ones who attended to us for our evening meals. I had returned from a 6 week overseas holiday unfortunately without my husband. So I wanted to stay a couple of days fairly local where I could get over any jet lag and relax in beautiful surroundings, eating delicious food. My husband would not normally choose a hotel like this as it makes him feel uncomfortable, whoever, he loved it. The staff were very professional and soon put us at our ease and he loved it. Thank you to everyone for making our stay so special. You will certainly see us again.

We have stayed at Tickton Grange several times in the past and the standards have been maintained where others have fallen. The hotel is comfortable, pleasant and welcoming. Breakfast was excellent and nothing was too much trouble. (We were visiting friends in the area so did not dine at the hotel on the previous evening). However, we have done so in the past and the quality and range of the menu was excellent!
The hotel is situated just off a busy road and, although you cannot hear the traffic, the signs for the hotel could be situated a bit further away from the turning so that the manoeuvre could be carried out a bit safer!

This is a real gem!! Room was beautifully furnished. It's quite with very easy parking. The David Hockney wall hangings are superb and a real eye catcher. The food was exceptional !! Beautiully cooked and presented and with a very knowledgable staff explaining in real detail what i was eating. A first rate service. Bar sells locally crafted ales, again very wll presented and with detailed suppier knowledge. The site is tranquil, peaceful and I thoroughly enjoyed. Took my wife a "Hug In A Box" which she fully appreciated. A full sensory experience.
There was nothing at all not to like

The property is amazing, the location is stunning and the staff were amazing. The next nights sleep I’ve had in a long while.
Unfortunately, the property’s version of catering for people with coeliac is removing half the items on the full breakfast and providing rather unpleasant gluten free bread. This is shocking as a good sausage should actually be gluten free, the reason sausages aren’t g/f is they are padded out with cereal! And there are some amazing gluten free breads out there. Yes they cost twice what regular bread costs. Welcome to our world!

The property is beautiful, very relaxed and country style. The decor was very pretty. The grounds were stunning surrounded by gardens, mature specimens trees and meadows. We had a small double room overlooking the garden, which was nice. There was a wedding party there , so we got a view of them enjoying their special day. I loved the bar with its grand high ceiling, and David Hockney Art work, a really nice touch, and talking point. We had a meal booked with parents for the evening which was really good quality and well presented. The dining room was very spacious and relaxed, a perfect place to enjoy good company, food and wine. The breakfast was excellent, fresh fruit salad, yoghurt & cereals with a choice of cooked breakfasts. Fresh coffee and pots of Yorkshire tea all served on beautiful blue and white china. This hotel would be a perfect place to spend a long weekend chilling , eating and walking. We also visited Beverley which is nearby for a coffee, which is a lovely little town, with lots of shops to look around. I would highly recommend Tickton Grange Manor to anyone who loves a friendly relaxed atmosphere, with a country style and excellent fine dining. Surrounded by beautiful gardens and meadows.
The only thing which was annoying was the door up to the rooms from the top of the stairs banged when other guests or staff came up. This only happened in the morning, but still was quite loud. Being an old property I know how creaky floors and doors can be. Also the light from the landing came into the room from under the door, so a trim on the bottom would help that. Maybe a proper door closer would be a solution?

Everything was immaculate. The staff were friendly and helpful and seemed genuinely keen that you should have a good experience during your stay. The hotel is set in its own grounds where they are engaged in an interesting re-wilding project. Much of the food is organic and locally sourced and all of excellent quality. The hotel is a good center for tourist and business clients and specializes in solemnizing marriages - popular for weddings. Lots of parking. Good Wifi.
Quite close to a very busy main road. Couldn't open the windows in our room.

We were upgraded to the Dale Suite which was a lovely surprise. I loved the personal touches like the home made biscuits in the room and extra little toiletry bag with comb, toothbrush etc. The art works and books dotted around the hotel were a lovely touch and very interesting. Staff were all very helpful, it felt like a family run hotel .....to its credit. The breakfast was excellent.

Super friendly staff , warm and welcoming so refreshing these days ! . Clean spacious bedroom with enormous bathroom and lovely view of the garden . Relaxing lounge with excellent bar service from Billy the barman . Amazing food from locally sourced suppliers / the beef was the best ever ! . Great choice for breakfast and personal service .
Shame it was a Sunday evening and very quiet so lacked a little atmosphere but great to have the place to ourselves !

we had stayed there for one night about 4 years ago and found it a well-run, family-run hotel that we'd enjoyed. We decided to stay for two nights to mak it more relaxing over the weekend (we were birding in the area). It is not 'cheap' but then that was not expected but it is good value for money. It provides a relaxed atmosphere with good public and bedrooms. We took the opportunity of the tasting menu one night- and this did not disappoint. Breakfast was relaxed and with good choice. Although I would like to availability of a 'mug' of tea rather than a dainty afternoon tea service. (also in bedroom). Vegetarian and vegan options are good. One morning, (0800) our table was at the back of the dining room and somewhat gloomy (early Feb) and it would have been good to have some extra lighting there (uplighters?) for breakfast although fine for evening meal.
Nothing very much, comments above were preronal feelings rtaher than objections. If we had an electric car it would have been good to have 'top-up' points in the car park.

Absolutely beautiful stay here. The hotel is full of class and beautifully designed in a way where you can't help but feel at peace and relax. The grounds with its stunning garden and a lovely wood walk were full of little surprises, dumbbells made out of wood, an apiary with bees and beautiful flowers and fauna. The views were breathtaking. The staff were professional friendly, and nothing was too much trouble very polite, especially the young chaps on reception and in the bar area..
