Location was stunning. Lady on reception and bar was so accommodating, friendly and made us feel very welcome. Communication up to our stay was great and they were very helpful with taxi recommendations for a wedding a few miles away. Comfortable room, beautiful surroundings. Wish we had longer!

No bar or seating facilities once reception closes (does state that on booking). Would have been nice to sit and reminisce about the evening with our family in such a beautiful place.

We stayed in Orchard Cottage and it’s very beautiful. The first room we viewed in the Pembroke building was too basic for us so we upgraded to a superior room. It is DEFINITELY worth doing this. The superior rooms are lovely. The grounds are amazing. Breakfast was very good. Sue checked us in and assisted with our upgrade. We were staying with our 9 month old baby and Sue was very helpful, as was the breakfast staff. We will certainly come back.

The standard rooms are very very basic. We would not have liked to stay there. Superior rooms have been modernised up to a lovely standard. Worth the extra.

Great location, stunning views and main building, we did have breakfast the last day which was a buffet breakfast and was lovely, tha staff can't do enough for you they ordered us taxis etc whenever we needed which seemed to be a while on the phone, lovely lake to sit by on the grounds and walks, it's lovely and quiet too, there is a bar until 11pm too

The rooms differ slightly as to what I'd expect from the seeing the main building, our room needs a little updating and there's a few stains on the carpets etc, also housekeeping made the beds the next day and didn't hoover from the day before no biggie but would of been nice, just for the price it was for the weekend just expected a bit more wow factor I guess There is no where to eat so be prepared if you want anything that's not breakfast and just grab something out, if your happy eating out etc that's fine we grabbed a pizza from 20 mins away and took it back to the hotel

Stunning location and grounds, such a peaceful place to be amongst nature.

On arrival to our room, it could have had a bit of a clean over, walked into some spiders webs just inside the door with said spiders quite active in the bathroom, room quite dusty but we are not the type of people who like to complain and let it ruin our stay. I think the site may have had some staff sickness but communication was good.

Middle Aston is more geared up for conventions but it was spacious to enable us to eat breakfast in a another room away from 'business' chatter also the room we were allocated was away from noise as the doors did bang loudly when they self closed. The staff were so friendly and any request was never denied. We were made to feel at home and part of the family. Perhaps they never had someone like us staying for so long. We did enjoy our stay apart from the size of the room. If you love extremely hot showers then this is the place to come. I had to remember to change the heat setting after my wife had finished.

The room was on the small size and not really designed for long stays. That is our only negative comment.

The location wasn't far from Banbury the bus left steeple Aston 5 to the hour although this isn't set in stone. It was about 15 to 20 min walk for the bus. Room was quite small with shower over the bath, which is OK but i found the bath quite high to climb out of. The bed was comfy softer than we are used to. The first room they gave us was on the ground floor but the toilet didn't flush so we went in a room on the 1st floor. The house is very old, breakfast was OK there was a set menu and you chose from it. There was hairdryer in the drawer, towels were changed every day, kettle tea and coffee and biscuits. A nice touch was a box of tissues in the room.

The bath being so high to climb into not everyone is tall.

We stayed here due to the location as we were attending a concert nearby ay Blenheim Palace. The location is just a short 15min drive away. The hotel is very good value for money. The facilities were as advertised on the photos on the website so no unexpected unrealistic expectations. The room was clean and tidy and breakfast was very good. We were able to sit outside and enjoy the lovely weather overlooking the beautiful grounds. I also accidentally left a shirt behind in the room. After a quick call, the hotel offered to send me the shirt. I'll happily pay for the postage and great service from the team. I will certainly use this hotel again if I'm in the local area or for breaking up a journey.

I was happy with all aspects of the hotel and facilities.

Everything went well - only complaint was that our soap dispenser didn't work by the was basin even though it was half full. We pulled back the shower screen and used on over bath! LOVED having the Galaxy hot chocolate and biscuits each night! Very welcome after the Cornbury festival.

Improvements: Little bedside table on the other side of the bed - just to rest drink on. And small bedside light by bed would have been good for reading to save lights being full on at night when one person reading in bed.

Great location for what we wanted. The room was clean, tidy with plenty of power points. Also plenty of car parking near to the accommodation on site

Bathroom was a bit small and the room lacked natural light due to the window size

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was good with a classic buffet spread and were able to make Veggie sauages for one of our guests. The grounds are beautiful, very peaceful and tranquil and close to Blenheim Palace. They had soft closing hallways doors which meant you didn't have banging through the evening!

We had no water in the bathroom in the morning - they were very swift at fixing it though The bathrooms could do with a little more style, I felt like I was in a school changing room!
