All as expected, great value for money. Staff very helpful, perfect location, no issues with booking. Room was well presented very bright and felt comfortable and safe for a single person. Would use again for a short stay.

Getting hot water for shower wasn't easy, and seemed to be dependant on time

The Balkan Hotel is a huge place that has been recently taken over by a lovely Bulgarian family.The 3 of them are very friendly and welcoming and the booking in process is easy. The price to stay there was excellent at £100 for 2 nights in peak season when lots of other hotels and bed and breakfasts are charging extortionate prices.This is probably one of the reasons the hotel was full. We had a huge 50inch TV in our room.The room was clean and more importantly so was the bathroom.Downstairs their is a very large bar room where you can watch sports and sometimes there is entertainment.Also there is a coffee/tea machine near the downstairs sitting rooms which have comfortable seating.

No tea and coffee facilities in the room.No lift and we had to go up 3 lots of stairs and I found it difficult on crutches.Not a lot of stock in the bar.No bitter.Even though I have made these points, we still loved the place and will go back

Up to date decor, lots of communal space to relax, friendly staff, decent sized bar, tv with all channels in the room, AMAZING location. Very short walk (3 mins max) to coral island and McDonald’s! 10000% stay here again, thank you :)

Wi-Fi didn’t reach our room at the back (worked on the landing steps) and we had no signal. - this wasn’t a promise when booked, Wi-Fi worked perfect in the bar/downstairs area! Wasn’t a major problem though. :)

It was close to the winter gardens that my daughter had a dance competition in. The staff were friendly would have a conversation with you when you were coming or going.

Checked in and paid. The landlord was friendly and explained things to me took the payment etc.. The room was very basic but clean and I had a TV I could watch and ensuite. The toilet was clean and the shower was warm.. It's exactly what I expected I didn't expect the Dorchester only paying that amount of money. Just that it was clean and the bed comfortable, which it was. I was aware that there were no tea or coffee-making facilities in the room after reading the reviews before arriving. I suppose this would have been nice. I hardly heard any noise from other guests. The location was very good and very near to the main shopping centre/tower etc. Just one thing they could look at and rectify quite easily:. I had considerable difficulty locking the door (room 9) and was not sure if it had locked. Over all very happy I will stay there again.

Hard to lock door not end of world

The owners and staff are very friendly and accommodating. They go out of thier way to ensure a comfortable stay. Cheap and cheerful. Standard room with TV, shower and toilet. So close to everything you need, cafes, amusements, seafront, blackpool tower, high street. No curfews come and go as you please. Great lounge area when you're not in your room. Bar area. Smoking area. Thank you Sellina and family for an amazing stay. Would recommend 👌

No negatives

The property was clean, and well presented. My room was bigger than I expected, and had a large tv in too. Staff was very friendly, but not to friendly you felt mithered. I really had a pleasant stay, and would return again, if I was to go back to Blackpool.

No tea, coffee facilities the bedroom. I’ve never been a B&B where they don’t provide you with a kettle, and brewing tackle. I didn’t like the thought of a shear curtain in the bathroom, a roller blind would give much more privacy.

The hotel is very central, just a short walk from the Tower and the beach. also plenty of cafe's close by for breakfast .

The owner was so friendly and the rooms were great and cosy. A couple minutes walk from Blackpool centre, with plenty of affordable food places around. I would really recommend staying here as it's affordable and welcoming. Ps. This was my first time travelling without family and the Balkan hotel was the best to start my travelling experience ☺️

The lock on the bedroom door was a bit dodgy as I struggled to lock it, however with resilience it was doable.

This is a great space, very well located well run by a family eager to please. I came with work to do and needed a room with a desk. This was accommodated straight away. The only complaint is a lack of tea/coffee facilities but there are kettles and mugs around if required. A bar is there, which is great for those that want to drink under the same roof as their room.
