Shirley Heights waa awesome from when we arrived till when we left the host's were brilliant the room was spotless cleaned to a very high standard the beds were very comfortable we had 3 nights very good sleep the breakfast was out of this world brilliant just what you need to start the day of nothing was ever to much for the host's best place we have stayed at Blackpool by a country mile we are 100% going back again this year thank you for our time in Blackpool a good one definitely be booking again cheers

There was nothing not to like this place is awesome

Hosts were really friendly and great with the kids and accommodating, nothing too much trouble! Happy to help with what was on in the area to cater to adults and children (aged 6 and 8). Helped with luggage both arriving and leaving - even carrying some from / to the car ! Breakfast was brilliant with a choice of continental and fresh cooked breakfast, again, asking if we required anything else. Fresh tea, orange juice, milk. Tea. Coffee, hot chocolate and biscuits in the room and replenished! Needed more milk and was not a problem! We would definitely stay again! The only issue, was one of the mattresses wasn't great, but this is being dealt with - and they were open about how many mattresses they replace ! Only kept this one as guests have said they like the firmer bed - but was very flat! Great place, very happy guests 😀

Fabulous location, less than 5 minutes away from Coral Island. Room was spacious, warm and clean. Bed was very comfortable and made everyday along with fresh towels left on the bed. Derek was a smashing host! Very attentive and couldn't help you enough. Let us use the iron to iron our wedding guest outfits. Extra pillows provided for my partner with no trouble. Derek even went above and beyond to get me a dairy alternative milk so that I could enjoy a nice up of tea, which was needed after the rain! Absolute superstar! Breakfast was lovely and was able to choose what we wanted so there wasn't any waste Would definitely recommend and will look to return

We came here with our family for a last-minute trip to spend some much-needed quality time together. We had a truly fantastic experience. The host was very accommodating and recommended activities we could enjoy during our stay. The room was beautifully decorated and impeccably clean, making us feel right at home. There were plenty of plug sockets within reach of the beds, along with two additional USB ports on each socket, which were perfect for our family of four with all our phones and the kids' devices. We really appreciated the attention to detail. The breakfast was amazing, made with quality ingredients and individually catered to our preferences. The next day, we didn’t even have to state our breakfast order; it was already known. We will definitely look forward to returning in the future!

Nothing not to like

Host (Derek) was welcoming, very friendly and attentive. The room was spotlessly clean and had toiletries and fresh fluffy towels on arrival which was lovely as I personally like to freshen up after traveling. Each room was open upon arrival which was a lovely touch as it was aired. Plenty of hangers and storage space for a weekend. There was also a drinks station with biscuits which again was a lovely touch and nice to enjoy while unpacking. The TV is an excellent size and channels all worked well as did the remote control. There are plenty of plug sockets throughout the room, some with USB ports so if like me you forgot a plug you can still easily charge your devices. Breakfast was delicious, very fresh and the coffee was outstanding.

An extra choice of fruit juice at breakfast would have been nice as orange juice can sit quite heavy, so maybe include an apple juice. But that's just a personal observation. And I'm struggling to think of a negative about my stay so I think that says alot about how much I enjoyed my stay 😆

What a lovely B&B with wonderful hosts. We were greeted warmly and showed to our room by Derek (thank you for taking our ridiculously heavy suitcase upstairs for me), who was very welcoming and amiable. The room itself was lovely, the bed was comfortable, everything was clean; and it was lovely and quiet with the windows closed. Bathroom perfectly fine with a great shower. Mirror close to plug socket, which isn't always the case. Little things make a big difference. Fantastic location for Blackpool town centre, just a few minutes walk straight down the road. Breakfast was delicious!! And there was plenty of it. Derek was very friendly and patient with my daughter, who can be a little shy, and also let us keep our suitcase at Shirley Heights for the day after we'd checked out. We really appreciated the cup of tea and Fruit Shoot when picking the case up too. A fabulous stay.

The walls are thin so if you are thinking of booking here, I'd bring earplugs, as you've no idea how noisy your neighbours will be.

We were greeted by Derek on arrival our rooms were ready, we enjoyed a nice cup of coffee after our journey, before heading up to our rooms which were both small doubles , this is a great hotel with Great hosts , great location they deserve everyone to know who they are. Sadly our trip was cut short due to the news of our Dogs passing so we left a day earlier than planned Both Amanda and Derek were comforting to us all. Thank you and we hopefully will come stay again next year x

Norhing at all

After staying in many places in Blackpool this was the BEST by far. The B&b had such a lovely home from home feel, the owner was so friendly and made us feel so welcome. Our room was the family room very spacious and clean, really nice decor. And the breakfast was amazing! This ranges from cereal, fresh fruit and yoghurt to a full English breakfast. The location is perfect, situated close to the carpark and all the attractions, just a very short walk. Will definitely be back.

No complaints at all, we liked everything.

Shirley hotel was like being at home, very comfortable and a lovely atmosphere 😊 my husband and I had a cheeky last minute weekend away and couldn’t have chosen a better place to stay ☺️ really clean and really friendly, nothing was too much trouble. As for the breakfast 🍳 well we missed out big time ( the demon drink) 🥤 from what I saw the other quests were being served we definitely missed a great feed 🥓🥚🍳.

After a lot of time thinking about this ………….. NOTHING!!!!!!!!! ❤️

Derek was genuinely a lovely man. Im over 7 months pregnant and hadn’t realised I’d booked the smaller of rooms for myself and my 11 year old son, he moved me to the bigger room with less steps to climb without me even asking. What a guy! Really accommodating, breakfast was cooked to perfection and l can’t fault his hospitality. Thank you.
