The Breakfast was first class amazing choice of fresh fruits, breads, croissants, cereals, juices, yoghurts followed by full home cooked hot breakfast with all the works. The hospitality of the hosts and the setting in stunning Cornish countryside with a big sky. Bedroom and ensuite of top standard and very comfortable bed. Lovely to have fridge, sink and wine glasses, plate if you want to do any of your own food. All in all the best bed and breakfast we have ever stayed in.

We had a fantastic stay at Brookfields. Brilliant location - it’s tucked away in the beautiful Cornish countryside. Ray and Sue are fantastic hosts that provide the perfect level of attentiveness but also allow you to feel you can come and go as you please. The breakfast was heavenly. Fresh fruit and yoghurt was my go to! Everything is locally sourced including the eggs which are from their own hens. Room was very comfortable and the views over the countryside were a dream to look at each morning and evening. We will definitely be returning.

Our holiday included stays at a few different places in the UK. At the airport on the way home we asked the children what they liked best about the holiday. “Visiting grandad and staying at Sue and Ray’s in Cornwall” came the answer in chorus! We were looking for a family room in a quiet, rural B&B that was not too far from Padstow, Port Isaac and the Eden Project and definitely hit the jackpot when we booked the Garden View apartment at Brookfields. Communication with our hosts Sue and Ray in advance of the visit was excellent and we were given a very warm welcome on arrival. They were kind and helpful, provided us with lots of useful tips for places to eat and visit and really made us feel at home. The apartment was well presented, with two bedrooms, a kitchenette and private bathroom. As well as having an entrance from the house, the apartment also has its own external door allowing sand covered children to come and go without disturbing other residents or making a mess of the main house. The large TV with Netflix was great for lazy evenings after active days, as were the comfy beds. We slept extraordinarily well both nights we were there and woke up refreshed, just in time for the delicious breakfast with fruit, yoghurt, cereals toast and the traditional full English breakfast cooked by Ray with locally produced bacon and eggs. The breakfast room has a commanding view over rolling hills and big skies, and we could watch rabbits hoping across the law and swifts and swallows practicing their aerial acrobatics while we enjoyed a relaxed breakfast. The perfect start to a day. Brookfields is a real gem, not to be missed if you are planning trip to Cornwall.

Our only complaint is that we hadn’t booked a longer stay!

We really enjoyed our long weekend at Brookfields! The shepherds hut was extremely cosy (rain or shine!). It was well equipped with everything you may need during your stay. A special mention for the very comfortable bed! We loved the log burner - kept the hut very warm during the cold nights. The wood-fired hot tub was the highlight of our stay and the hosts ensured it was warm and ready to use each day! We also really enjoyed our breakfast, which was very kindly prepared by the hosts on request - cooked to perfection with a lovely view! Plenty of parking available and we enjoyed seeing the resident ducks, hens, cockerels and sheep. We spent our time in the hot tub bird watching. Excellent location - away from the noise, plenty of wildlife. If you are looking for a peaceful and relaxing stay, you will not be disappointed. Sue and Ray were fantastic hosts and always around to help!

Amazing. Stayed in many nice B&Bs in the UK and this one tops the list. The owners were lovely, room and facilities is above and beyond. Breakfast was great, the overall setting and grounds are beautiful. A bonus were the 2 dogs Ruby and Reg, we loved them and they are very friendly amd adorable! :) Will almost certainly return and could not recommend highly enough. Ray and Sue were very welcoming hosts. Rays breakfasts were done to the highest standards and using locally sourced produce. The room was lovely with splendid views of the Cornish countryside. We appreciated the polite and gregarious nature of our hosts, which added to the wonderful holiday the we experienced in Cornwall.

The property is a blend of modern and traditional and has something that will appeal to everyone. The size means you have privacy but not so much that you can’t find the owners for a chat about the local sights! Garden and surrounding fields mean there is a lot of walking you can do without having to leave the property. There are some friendly farm animals and two lovely resident dogs which made the trip complete for me!

Nothing at all. I’d say the only downside is you really need to drive to get about but the unspoilt views and incredible serenity more than compensate!

Cream tea, coffee and tea on arrive which was unexpected and very welcomed after a dreary day travelling. Sue is a fantastic host with the right balance of welcoming interest and helpfulness (tips of good places to see and eat), and freedom to enjoy the grounds amd spaces.

Some of the bedroom seats were a little uncomfortable, but it was minor. Everything else was perfect

Idyllic location with beautiful views of the countryside. Sue and Ray were exceptional hosts and made us feel very welcome. They have thought of every detail from setting the breakfast table to keeping our room warm and toasty. The full English breakfast was delicious, the yellow tomatoes on the vine just burst with sweetness.

Everything was beyond our expectations.

It is in a beautiful location and is part of a smallholding which includes an orchard with a wide range of appletrees and some beehives. There are chickens and sheep as well. The view is spectacular. The rooms are large with plenty of storage space.
