Comfortable rooms with good facilities. It was genuinely dog-friendly; some places claim to be, but then have a lot of rules about where dogs can and cannot go. Really good food in the restaurant, including one of the nicest roasts we have ever eaten out. John (general manager) was excellent - you can tell he really cares about the place despite having only been there 8 weeks when we were there, and he gave off the impression of someone who had been there for years.

There was only an hour (8.30-9.30) for breakfast. If this could have been extended by even half an hour at each side we'd have been more likely to make it.

We've stayed at The Lamb a few times but not for a few years I asked for a quiet room so we were in one of the stable rooms it was so small it was like being in a caravan!! To be fait the price did reflect this. There was a smell of damp and it was far from quiet, it seemed to be the place for people to use their mobile phones and have a fag!! At one point a man was having a cigarette and trying to look through the net curtain into our room until I opened the window!! The staff were excellent and pleasant and I love the area. We were only there for one night I would have asked to move had we been there longer.

As above.

The Lamb Inn deserves to be Michelin rated for the incredible food it serves. My husband and I and our puppy “Evie” stayed for 4 nights over the Easter weekend. We have been fortunate to have stayed in 5* hotels both abroad and in the UK so appreciate beautiful surroundings, fine cuisine and excellent customer service. The Lamb Inn certainly delivered on all three!!! The Lamb is a stunning traditional Inn situated in a great location with walks across the stunning Cotswolds countryside literally just at the end of the lane. The food is some of the finest I have tasted and I would highly recommend if you are staying at the Lamb you certainly book for dinner. We ate in the restaurant every night during our stay and each meal was sensational. If this food was being served in London I am sure it would be awarded a Michelin star, however we found it to be exceptional value for money with the steak the most expensive item on the menu and like I say worth every penny. The staff were friendly and nothing was too much trouble they made us and Evie feel extremely welcome and we learning a lot from speaking with them about the local area. If you are looking to stay in a beautiful traditional Inn serving fine cuisine with incredible staff then look no further than the Lamb Inn. I am confident you will not be disappointed!!!

Absolutely nothing!!!

Fabulous stay. Staff were friendly and professional, quaint inn with lots of character as expected. This is an old inn so if you want character you will love it, if you want modern sleek go elsewhere. Breakfast was exceptional. Stayed in the lovely Sherborne Suite - spacious room, comfy bed and good quality linen with nice decorative touches. Although I would expect bottled water in a suite - everything else was perfect. One suggestion there is a small ledge above the sink for essential toiletries in the bathroom but a shelf to store washbags etc would make it fabulous. Great location for exploring the Cotswolds. Would definitely recommend and will stay again if we come back to the area.

Fabulous stay - nothing not to like

Dinner was good. Breakfast was good on Tuesday morning. The staff were very helpful and friendly.

The room was very small and bathroom was not well designed inasmuch the toilet was too close to the wall. Breakfast was poor on Wednesday morning, We ordered poached egg on sourdough with back bacon. Three couples arrived in the dining room after us and were all served before us. What is more, when the meal did arrive my poached egg was overcooked and it was streaky bacon and it was undercooked.

We stayed in Jemima's House. Both bedroom and bathroom are a generous size, clean well presented. There are plenty of power points (Usb), mirrors & heaters in both rooms. There is a lovely private outside space with table and chairs which would be really lovely in the warmth of summer, unfortunately we bought the rain with us. Staff are extremely friendly and always happy to accommodate any issues, would highly recommend

Bottles in water in room would be a nice touch, and does seem industry standard with other rooms we have stayed in Also the bed is very noisy ;)

the setting was lovely, we stayed in the “stables” which is an out building next to the main building it is really central to all the main places we wanted to visit in the cotswolds. the shower was really amazing loved how modern it was. The restaurant was nice and breakfast was very good.

the room is quite small, although cosy there’s not really much space for a suitcase and it was quite noisy when people came out of the pub at around 1130. there were a few cobwebs and the bedroom drawers were not clean but the room on the whole was clean.

The staff were very attentive and friendly. room was very warm and clean with a good shower.

my only criticism was that for both dinner which was a little on the expensive side and breakfast which was included in the price, was luke warm. My partners breakfast was almost cold. The main cause was that the meals had been served on cold plates. When we mentioned this at dinner, we were advised that they didn't have a plate warmer so they placed the plates under heat lamps. Surely a few minutes in the oven would have ensured they were hot to ensure the food stayed hot.

The Suite was quiet and well isolated from any other pub noises, except on the stairs to theother rooms Nicely decorated and clean . nice little shower room but there should be a way NOT to have those little lights on all the time. So annoying in the middle of the night. Couldnt eat in restaurant in eveing as full [despite early booking a table] so in the bar with a noisy bunch. No matter food OK, same as in restaurent, but not terribly good value for money. Some items not available. Breakfast fine, apart from same noisy visitors as the night before.

Very charming Inn with plenty of character. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. we ate at the Inn for dinner and breakfast, both meals were very tasty, probably some of the best food we had in England. The location was great as a base for exploring the cotswalds. The bed was very comfortable (and even had an adorable teddy bear) and there was also a writing desk. My husband was very happy with the selection of TV channels available (out of our entire holiday at 9 different places this was the only one with a particular channel that he liked). Plenty of parking on site and the sign asking to 'please park prettily' gave us a giggle.

The bathrooms are very small, it might make shower difficult for some. I felt a bit claustraphobic in the shower as your really cant move in there. I also hit my head a few times going down the stairs as im not used to low ceilings, (and im only 5'6 so i feel sorry for tall people). Not many other dining places within walking distance, so if you dont dine at the Inn you will probably have to drive a few minutes into a larger town.
