Me, my partner and our dog Daisy really enjoyed our stay. The location is absolutely gorgeous, the building itself is beautiful. We were made to feel very welcome on entry from the moment we arrived. Our room was first class! Very warm and cosy. The breakfast was as good as our stay. We very highly recommend The Lamb Inn.

We didn't really have any dislikes, just a small piece of constructive criticism, and the reason I haven't given a full 10 out of 10 was the room for me was just shy of perfection. The bathroom and entrance doors need attention where they appear to be warped, or just need readjusting? The shower was dripping, again maybe just needs a new seal? And the final finish to the bathroom to me just needs......the finishing to be better. It looked "tired" For me apply new sealant around the room and it gets a 10 out of 10 from me on all points. By no means was the room dirty, just the final finish was lacking.

Newly renovated room was really lovely. Food - dinner and breakfast absolutely excellent The bar and drinks service wonderful. Loved the way the G&Ts are served! Kathleen and Elliott the new owners are amazing and did a brilliant job on first few days of opening!

Unable to contact them by phone for several weeks and needed to on the day of arrival as I was having trouble getting a taxi. I know this was down to an unresolved technical issue though. Also would have appreciated knowing that it is not possible to get a local taxi from station - from further away only and cost is high!

The location is ideal for exploring the Cotswolds. Ideally located close to Bourton-on-the-Water and Stow-on-the-Wold. The Lamb Inn is an old fashioned inn located in a small, pretty village. The staff were all very friendly and welcoming. Food was excellent. We ate breakfast and evening meals there. The pub sells a small range of cask ales. The pub has a car park. The facilities in the room were good. Plenty of power points. Even a power point close to the mirror.

The room was not in the main building. The room itself was a bit dark and felt slightly damp. Otherwise the facilities in the room were great.

What an amazing place to stay - we are so pleased that we booked the Lamb Inn for our pre-Christmas break. We stayed for five nights, and also brought our cat along too who everyone was in love with! We got engaged during our stay and Elliott and Kv made it extra special and even celebrated with us. The room was wonderful, the pub was very cosy and friendly and the food was amazing. We can’t wait to return to experience the Cotswolds in the summer! Thank you so much for making our stay unforgettable!

Great cosy Cotswolds Pub, perfect location for a relaxed few days away. Beautiful historic pub, very welcoming and the staff were all so friendly & accommodating. Our room ( Fairford ) was so comfortable and had everything we needed. They even decorated it with a birthday banner & some bubbly on my husbands birthday ! Would definitely recommend. Sunday roast & the breakfast were 1st class.. thank you !

Only downside, we didn't know the restaurant was closed Monday/ Tuesday until after we had booked our accommodation.

Very quirky! Floors were very uneven due to being an old building. The building and gardens are pretty. The young staff were very friendly and looked to be working very hard. The breakfast was nice and we had a fabulous evening meal. Relaxed comfortable atmosphere.

The room had a bath in the centre of the room with a shower curtain around it, it wasn’t very practical and the floor got wet. I don’t like to use the bath while I’m staying away. It also had a small step around the bath with the same carpet as the floor. It was difficult to see and we kept hitting our toes on the edge. The mattress was comfortable but felt like a few springs had gone on one side of the bed.

The food was quite wonderful. I would recommend the "Pie of the day" to everyone. The breakfasts were equally as good. the produce was obviously fresh and the taste was really good. Service was a little slow BUT we were not there for instant gratification, the 'pauses' at mealtimes gave us the chance to talk and make friend with others staying at the hotel. The staff, Jacob at the bar, a little eccentric with a 'booming voice' was an inspiration on how to enjoy oneself and the young ladies that served our meals were both competent, friendly and chatty. Together it made for a memorable stay. I have already recommended the Lamb to friends and family.

The steps outside down to the Inn and the stairs up to the bedrooms could have been a problem if we had mobility issues. The online information need updating in that we weren't forewarned that the bar was closed at lunchtimes on Mondays and Tuesdays.

Lovely village location with dog walks. Dog friendly with very friendly and helpful evening dinner staff (they were a chef down but all did well, chef included!). Excellent dinner with varied menu. Tasty cooked breakfast with breakfast bar.

I know they do this for ease and flexibility, but I find 2 single beds latched together to form a double bed uncomfortable, personally. Water pressure in the shower was very low. I know this is probably limited by location but I like a good and powerful shower! Some of the staff came across as unhelpful and insincere. Particularly at breakfast, when I asked if we could give our order as we were in a bit of a rush and had waited 15 minutes.

Very accommodating staff is always bright and cheerful. The Manageress and her team go above and beyond to make it a perfect stay. Breakfast has so many choices and combinations. If you order cooked food, it is cooked when ordered, so a little wait but delicious. The chef was very helpful as evening meal portions were large, and he reduced our meal size as we only eat small meals. We would like to thank the staff for making the weekend really enjoyable.

The only negative was the stone steps to the reception area. Very steep going down left hand side of hotel.

Very charming inn in an equally charming cotswolds village. Very quiet apart from plenty of birds singing and not as touristy as some other places. Staff were very friendly and accommodating. Best part was probably the beautiful food (cooked breakfast and dining). Lovely garden at the back and very dog friendly.

The bathroom was quite small, but that's logical considering the awkward layout of such an old building, which also gives it its charm. A towel rail or hook would have been practical though. These are details, our stay was wonderful. We would recommend and come back for sure!
